★★★★★ | Great for downloading or taking pictures/videos at an event. |
Capacity: 16 GB | Verified Purchase |
The product arrived in a timely manner. I needed a memory card with more storage since the one that came with my camera can only capture 4 pictures. This memory stick fit & worked with my camera. It was very useful, i am able to take between 500 to 1000 pictures and still has room for 4000. I was not afraid to take duplicate pictures in case one was blurry (i only use the easy programming of the camera even though i could use the other features but if you are in an event & want to take spontaneous pictures, i don't have time to adjust my camera). The pictures came out great. I'm happy with the product. |

★★★★★ | Works Exactly As Described |
Capacity: 4 GB | Verified Purchase |
I had another brand memory stick in my Sony point and shoot camera and I noticed the stick would not stay in the slot. After more review I found that a small tip at the bottom of the memory stick had broken off. I have no idea how this happened, however once it does the stick will not completely set in the camera. The new one work just fine. TIP---Should you be using a Sony Cyber Shot and encounter difficulty in getting the memory stick to properly seat in the camera take the following actions. Look into the slot(it's very narrow) and see if you can see all of the metal tips on the bottom or as my case I saw a blue plastic "bit" that was covering one of those metal clips. Carefully remove that piece of broken chip and your camera should work properly again. To remove I used a very thin knife and VERY carefully dislodged the broken piece and it just fell out.The camera is not that valuable and taking it to a camera repair shop would have been prohibitive. |

★★★★★ | Just got back into PSP gaming |
Capacity: 4 GB | Verified Purchase |
I hadn't touched my PSP in a long while. Like almost 3 years. But after Sony announced the "Welcome Back" rewards program, and with me coincidentally having much more free time around the time of that program, I decided to pick up some PSP games. Only problem was I only had a 1gb memory stick (which wasn't enough to fit the two free PSP games I selected from the welcome back program), so I decided to buy a new memory stick.
The price on this product was fair, but in light of the push for digital content on the PSP, I was a little surprised that the 16 and 8gb models were so expensive. If you're not sure if 4gb will be enough for you, I suppose you could rationalize the purchase of the 8 or 16gb models because the larger memory sticks don't seem to substantially depreciate in value. Probably because all the memory sticks are compatible with Sony cameras. So if you do make the splurge for the bigger memory sticks it's not like you won't be able to get a fair return on your money once you're finished gaming on the PSP.
The product really couldn't be an easier to use. You simply pop it in your system and you're ready to start copying games to your PSP. Right now I have 3 games on my memory stick and I still have a significant amount of space remaining.
Overall, it's worth the money. Do yourself a favor and spend the money to buy a real and officially licensed Sony memory stick from Amazon rather than buying this product off an auction site where you're likely to get a knock-off. |

★★★★★ | Best Price for the Sony Pro Duo is Found with Amazon Sellers |
Capacity: 4 GB | Verified Purchase |
We purchased this from Amazon Seller ABX ProTECH as it was being sent to our son and daughter-in-law on the East Coast (and ABX ProTECH is located in New York). As we wanted First Class shipping, we found this Seller to be closer and indeed, the product arrived only three days after we ordered it.
We had purchased a Sony CyberShot camera on Amazon for them for their anniversary and they had talked us out of getting the Memory Card/Stick as they were sure they could find one locally. However after being sold two incorrect ones by their local Best Buy, on the third trip they were further frustrated to find that Best Buy wanted TWICE as much for these as Amazon. As I had offered to get them one to begin with, I immediately ordered it from ABX ProTECH on Amazon and they had it in an amazing three days, in time for their snowy southern weekend.
Sony is like Dell, they design products so you must use brand-specific accessories, etc., with them for optimum results. My son did not want me to down-rate the camera (as others have) due to this as he stated it is just "good old capitalism." While it can be a pain at times, and also more expensive at times, we have used Sony cameras and camera products for years, and have had excellent results.
However if you need one of these to arrive in a reasonable amount of time, I advise shopping around the different Amazon Sellers who carry these and find one who is closer to you to overcome shipping time. Many of them are within a few cents of each other in price (when you figure in the differing shipping costs) and the ours arrived at our son's home much faster than it would have if we would have purchased from a Seller on the West Coast.
All in all, our son and daughet-in-law are happy with it, so we are happy with our purchase. We are also MORE THAN DELIGHTED with the prices for these found with Amazon Sellers! |

★★★★★ | Extra Memory - way worth it |
Capacity: 4 GB | Verified Purchase |
Purchased extra memory sticks for our Sony Cybershot for a trip and it was worth every penny. I've seen other memory sticks at Costco but not sure of the non-Sony brands and not even sure they'd work in my Cybershot so I've stuck with the brand name and glad that I had extra memory. Along with extra memory I also went ahead and purchased a Sony NP-BG1 Type G Lithium Ion rechargeable battery to take along with me. Both the spare battery and the extra memory stick lasted well into a lot of photo-taking during our two-week vacation in Washington. I don't have a computer with me to upload photos from my camera so these memory sticks came in very handy. |

★★★★★ | OEM Stick. Works on my VAIO for ReadyBoost. |
Capacity: 4 GB | Verified Purchase |
Bought this for my Sony Vaio - I do not know of any other devices which use one of these things, but got it to fill the Memory Stick Pro Duo slot on my laptop with -something- (hopefully something useful) as the laptop shipped with an open slot which attracts dust and stuff. The larger GB sizes were priced even more exorbitantly than this 4GB stick was (esp. when compared with microSD cards of a similar GB size), so I went for 4 GB size and hoped the operating system would recognize the card and use it for ReadyBoost.
When the stick arrived, it was excessively packaged (in paper-based packaging for much of it) for something of its size.
The stick fits into the Vaio laptop's slot almost completely flush with the case. The operating system (64 bit Windows 8.1 "Update Version") recognizes the stick and allows it to be fully-used for ReadyBoost (minus the usual overhead of the file system and such which eat into the actually-usable space on ANY sort of disk/memory card). The OS allows for a possible 3.73 GB to be used and uses all but 5.84 MB of this space for ReadyBoost.
Besides wishing I could have purchased a larger-capacity card for the slot without feeling like I'm being ripped-off for the RAM quantity/price, this card seems to do what I need it to do. I do wonder, though, if the other cards which act as pass-throughs for microSD cards could do what this card does for a much-cheaper price per GB of RAM? |

★★★★★ | Little money, loads of space! 84 min of video vs. 23 seconds |
Capacity: 2 GB | Verified Purchase |
I just opened the package and put the card in my camera (there's an arrow on the card) and after a pause I had space for 84 miniutes of video and an image capacity of 9999 on my Sony Cybershot DSC-W290.
Prior to the
Sony 2 GB Memory Stick PRO Duo Flash Memory Card MSMT2G
being installed I had space for 23 seconds of video and 60-80 photos.
If you don't need more space than this and you only want to spend $11 or so get this card or the 1 GB card rather than the 4 or 8 GB which can run upwards of $24.
It's small, 1 1/16 inch x 1 1/4 inch and the writing side should face the back of the camera before inserting.
note- I had some pictures in the camera's memory before I put the card in and they are not accessible with the card in. If I remove the memory card (just push it in and it partially pops out for you to pull), then the photos taken previously are still available. So I recommend you save your photos on your computer if you don't want to take the card in and out often.
I purchased it "new". It says "Sold by Superior Electronics Outlet and Fulfilled by Amazon" but on my receipt/invoice it says sold by Amazon. It arrived quickly.
For little more than $10 I recommend this product! |

★★★★★ | The Real Deal |
Capacity: 16 GB | Verified Purchase |
After buying what was touted as being a genuine memory stick pro and discovering that not only was it not an actual Sony Memory Stick Pro, it didn't work at all. I checked all the sites selling them and found that Amazon had the best price and the "real deal". I paid the money (yes, it's high) and got exactly what I paid for . . . a genuine, fully functional, 16gig stick that worked immediately and continues to perform. I have full use of my camera and tons of memory, so I can take more pictures and movies because of the Memory Stick Pro. I love it because it works and I don't have to think about it. Put it in, take pics or videos, pull it out, upload to computer and its all good. I encourage buyers to NOT try the cheaper ones, as they will most likely not be the genuine article, won't work well, or at all, and frustrate the heck out of you. Buy the genuine article and you'll be worry-free and a happy camper. |

★★★★★ | sony of course |
Capacity: 4 GB | Verified Purchase |
i am using this 4 gb pro stick duo for my psp (fat). i used to have a 1 gb that originally came with it but quickly used the entire space; i've been having to juggle my info. around for the longest time and saw this little beauty for about 10 bucks and thought it was worth it. normally i don't care about brand name when it comes to hardware but since i saw plenty of sandisk for the same price as the sony i figured, why not? since recieving it i've been able to store much more and i get no lagg when accessing my music, pics, or games. i didn't want to buy anything larger (like the 8gb or 16gb) only because they're still somewhat expensive and i hear a new psp might come out next year; just need a litle more elbow room till then. |

★★★★★ | Buy from reputable vendor with amazon fulfillment ~ |
Capacity: 2 GB | Verified Purchase |
Paid $8 for my 2GB stick for my PSP (thanks Sony for telling me I had to have that to save my games! Thought the hard drive would be enough...)
Read several reviews and found that several listings are for 'off brand' duplicates that do not work as well as the Sony brand. Make sure to check the item number on the actual stick and make sure it comes in the Sony packaging (mine did). It is the kind of packaging that once opened, cannot be resealed without obvious damage.
My number one recommendation is to buy from amazon.com directly or from a trusted third party seller. If the memory card is listed as 'NEW' but arrives in a non-Sony package, then I would return it immediately. |
