Worked Great for upgrading all my Jeep Battery, Starter, Alternator wiring to 2ga wire.

I purchased these 5/16 as well some with 3/8" hole fittings, I used the 3/8" on the battery terminals and these fit nearly everything else, The starter, the new Fuse link I added, the alternator (with some filing down), I stuffed some solder in the fittings, wrapped the wire with some more solder, slipped on some shrink tubing, shoved the 2 ga wire in fitting all the way to the sheeting, I then used my hydraulic crimpers (which I loved) and crimped the connectors on, I then too a small butane torch and melted the solder, after it cooled down I slid the shrink wrap over it and heated to make a nice clean connection - These fittings worked perfect !!!!!

Perfect for WELDING CABLE size 4/0, NOT 4guage or standard 4/0 power cable.

I used these for my (4/0 WELDING CABLE)
not 4 gauge or standard 4/0 power cable.
Perfect fit for 4/0 WELDING CABLE!

True copper, works good

Not much to say. They're true copper, thick enough to get a quality hammer crimp even on heavy 7-strand wire. Good connection and aren't corroding at all even months later. Was capable of drilling one out to take a 3/8" lug without the bit grabbing it and turning it into a pretzel, which also says something.

As 5/16 -VS- 3/8 For Tightly Battery Bolt Connection

As Amazon's photo is so crystal clear, so; I didn't like 3/8 hole along with not enough of copper around the hole. I had decided to get 5/16 for tightly fit my battery's bolt, that I had really love. I had though, to bore the 5/16 at 1mm. larger for fit, that I didn't have to.

Thick and bendable

Heavy duty to be sure. I add the wire. Crimp tight. Clamp the wire to a holder a few inches away with the new connection down. Then heat from the tip and fill with electric solder.

Good quality

I used these terminals to rewire a Harbor Freight 12000lb Badland winch. The power cables had completely corroded from within. These terminals are 0.400" ID x 0.500" OD and fit 1/0 InstallGear wire perfectly. They crimped well with the IWISS Cable Lug Crimping tool.

WindyNation, the only way to go.

Excellent battery/cable ends. The quality of these cable ends is obvious. Worth every cent. They also crimp extremely well. Spend the extra few cents and get the WindyNation brand, you won't regret it.

Best bang for buck, in my situation.

Best price per terminal ratio I found. The quality of the lugs are nice and are as better quality then the ones from my local auto stores and ac Delco store. Theirs are dirty and not as shiny.

Happy with my purchase.

The lugs worked as advertised and expected. Not much else to say. I'm very happy they weren't a disappointment.

Question & Answer

Question :

Which heat shrink wrap tubing size is recommended for this lugs?

Answer :

Look up the diameter of 8 gauge wire and get heat shrink 2 sizes bigger. The heat shrink can shrink down to 1/3 its size so a couple of sizes bigger than the wire should work fine.

Question :

Windy..Do you sell these pre tinned?
