Ordered the 50' section. However what I received was just barely 49'. Normally I wouldn't complain about this things. But according to my wife, inches mean everything. So please send me the remaining 3-4 inches of cable.

My goodness what a great wire/cable!

This 2 conductor wire cable is heavy duty and works great. best price I have ever seen for suck a good quality cable. Insulation is very thick and protects wires well. These are not Aluminum. They are Copper.

Highly recommend I've been using this wire for past 5 years

Great marine grade wire and some of the lowest priced wire I've been able to find. I've purchased multiple types/gouges from them and have never been disappointed. It's tinned the whole way thru, white outer jacket is nice and thick and the insulted jacked that directly protects the wire is thick as well. Makes it a little difficult to work with but that is no complaint. As long as you have good electrical tools your fine. I never want to have to re-wire anything I do in my boat or my buddies and using this wire should ensure I won't have too. What it's labeled as is what you get as well. 14 AWG Duplex Thinned Marine Wire 50' means you get 50 feet with x2 (red & black) 14 guage wires inside of a thick insulated outer jacket. I've used this type of wire from lighting to electronics to speaker wire. I used this 14 guage specifically to wire up a VHF radio and USB charging port. It's definitely worth spending the extra money on marine grade (tinned copper) wire for all your outdoor and especially boat wiring jobs. I know I'm not your dad but for the sake of humanity DO NOT use automotive wire in your boat no matter what type, size, make or model. Or even if your about to sell your boat, why set yourself up for bad karma? the next boat you buy will probably repay the favor with a breakdown, lol. Also don't think it's ok to use automotive wire inside your cabin or sealed compartment. It's still very susceptible to corrosion and most likely will. Highly recommend to any DIY boat owner or professional installer and either recreational or commercial. Can't go wrong!!!

Seemed really good especially for the price

I'm not an expert on wiring so take this for what it's worth. I needed to rewire my boat trailer so I wanted something that wasn't going to corrode in the elements. I looked around quite a bit and this was by far the cheapest option with decent reviews. The wire itself is some of the thickest 16 gauge wire I've seen...I would say it's closer to 14 gauge so that was a pleasant surprise as I debated using 16 vs 14 for this project. The wire was pretty easy to work with but I wasn't bending it more than a couple degree here and there so it might be a bit harder for tight corners. Overall I'm really happy with it and it ended up working well for the boat trailer application.

Looks like good marine wire

Looks like good wire to me. Thick insulation. Tinned. Fine strands for better durability less stress fracturing with vibration and motion and less stiffness.

Good marine wire

Good quality marine grade wire. We're using it for all the lights in our RV, as well as some of the small appliances. Nice, tinned wire, very flexible, and well protected. Would buy again!

Great deal on non-US made Marine wire

Great deal on good quality marine wire, assuming we can trust and believe jacket markings documenting Marine ratings. Nice 100% tinning of all conductors makes a huge difference in conductivity and corrosion resistance after installation in Marine environment.

...one sort of irritating thing I overlooked...what you see in the ad picture is literally what you get, 100 or 200ft of wire, wrapped in plastic wrap, NO SPOOL to keep it neat and together after you peel the plastic away ! So I went to Home Depot and begged an empty wire spool from their electrical wire department, to wind my 100ft onto.

Good wire

This wire compares very well to Anchor Duplex tinned coated copper wire. The cover is slightly harder to cut, but I believe it may also be more abrasive resistant. I don't see any problems other than I may need to get a better wire stripper.

Really Great Marine Grade Wire

I used this for boat lighting and bilge pumps. It is true marine grade (copper strands that are tin coated.) The insulation on the 2 individual wires inside the sheathing is thick but supple. The sheathing is tough. I routed this wire through 16 feet of aluminum gunnel with confidence and have had no issues. I am happy with this purchase.

Seems to work so far

Had to replace some outdoor speaker wire I bought here on amazon that is crap and this seems to fit the application much better.

Custom Questions & answers

Question:can this be used for 110v in an RV? or only used for 12v wiring?
Answer:The wire is rated for 600 volts. It would work just fine for 110v wiring in an RV. Also a standard wall outlet is rated for less than how much current this wire can carry, so there's no issues there either.

Question:Can i use this gs power’s 16 ga to power 150w light bar ? or should i go with 14 awg?
Answer:depends on how long you running the wire. Typically we target a 2% voltage drop in automotive syytems. With a 12V battery supplying 150W, 5 ft will be ok (a voltage drop of ~0.4V). But if you are running more than 10 ft, we would use 14AWG

Question:Is this flexible (# strands?), i want to run this in my attic (florida), temps could get as high as 150 f. used for 12v cameras/lights under eaves?
Answer:Yes, It's very flexible. 67 strands (each strand is 30 gauge). Can easily handled 150 F. But 12 AWG might be overkill for 12v Camera. We have smaller gauge wires available at www.amazon.com/gspower

Question:Can this be used for 120v AC current?
Answer:Not intended (also not approved) for household 120V/240V AC. DC only.

Question:is this wire an over kill for outdoor patio speaker wire ?
Answer:for typical speaker, 14 or 16 AWG should be sufficient. visit www.amazon.com/gspower for other options

Question:Can you use this for speakers ?
Answer:absolutely, best wire available

Question:What is the maximum amp rating of this cable (continuous)?
Answer:according to my sheet 12G wire is good for 30 Amps Max If your anticipated load is very close to that I would go to 10G wire

Question:With my custom build caamper trailer will this meet all the needs of 12 volt up to 15 amps. reading lamps, rv 12 volt atwood furnace, out side entry l
Answer:Hello James,

Thanks for your question and for your interest in our product.

To answer your question, yes, this should be fine since the wire is rated for up to 15 Amp maximum.

We hope this helps. Thanks again for reaching out to us.

All the best,

Question:Which Underwtiters Laboratory standard does this wire meet ? As noted in specifications
Answer:I don't know. If it doesn't have it printed on the insulation then none. I only used it for DC voltage.

Question:Will this wire work with a 4 pin trailor wiring harness?
Answer:I guess that depends on how you use it. This is ONLY a 2 wire conductor (Black and red) I suppose if you cut it and use 2 pieces for the 4 pin it could work but that would make it confusing as you have 4 wires with 2 sets of the same color. Other than that detail, Yes I suppose it could work
