After using my Xbox One controller for a few years, my thumbsticks (mostly the left one) got worn down on top, losing its grip. So I got this set to replace them.
First thing I noticed is that they are nearly exactly the same as the thumbsticks that came on my controller originally. The first picture shows them side by side. The left two are my originals, and the right two are the replacements. The other picture shows the replacements installed and the old ones resting on top for comparison.
Also it was really convenient that the replacement thumbsticks came with the tools required to take apart the controller. And it was still only $10. Good deal in my opinion. Much cheaper than buying a whole new controller.
Overall, I'm very satisfied with this product. It was very high quality and a great value. I recommend it highly. |

I got a PS4 back in 2014. The joysticks had worn down pretty bad. A friend of mine uses caps on his controllers, but those invariably fall off. I have gotten new controllers over the years, but when I saw how cheap these are, I decided to see if I could bring the old controller back.
It did require careful disassembly, so if you're bad at that kind of stuff, you probably will destroy your controller. But if know how to be delicate, it's pretty easy to swap out the old ones for these.
Also they're really comfortable. The rubberized tops do not destroy my thumbs. I had been pretty concerned about finding ones that would be too hard. These are great.
They ARE a little taller than the OEM sticks are, but, really, whatever.

It feels like an OEM stick. It's just as smooth. Haven't used it long, and while the screwdrivers are nice to have, my nails worked just as well to pry(and more trusted).
And though it looks dumb, changing one stick out with a non-black stick allows me to ID my controller and allows to extend only the left-sticks devastatingly thrashed life.. shaven and broken neck, one after another... tough is the life of a gta controller |

| The rubber on my left thumbstick cracked off. This was a perfect replacement. At first it was a little hard to pry the grips off (first step in the repair). I think I was worried about using too much force and breaking any plastic connector tabs. Finally, I just decided to go for it -- they popped right off and all tabs intact. From there it's 5 screws and the cover is off. Simple swap old/new thumbsticks and everything was back together less than a minute later. They work/feel like original to me. |

| Just installed these and so far all is well. The tools did the job and the sticks replicated the OEM feel better than I expected. I saw a lot of reviews for other replacement sticks where the customers were disappointed because although the sides were rubberized, the center was plastic. These are rubberized on the sides and center. They feel great and seem like they'll be pretty durable. If they happen to not last as long as I expect then I'll update my review but for now its 5 stars! |
