Canon Inks Are The Best

Canon inks are the best. I love to order these through Amazon because they always have them. I used to have to run to the office supply stores when I was low and sometimes they didn't have them in stock. That was worrisome, especially when you need it by a certain date. Now I just order them and keep them on hand. Great pricing on these as well. When you run an expensive copier you don't want to put cheap product in it. If it calls for Canon, buy Canon.

Best ink for the Pixma Pro Printer

I have used the Canon Pixma Pro 100 for many years and would highly recommend using this ink for standard quality prints each and every time. You may pay a little more for the name brand ink, however, the value is there as it is specifically crafted for use with the Pixma Pro Series Printer. Simply put, you cannot go wrong.

Good quality.

Expensive but good quality.

Don't Skimp on Price

Get your ink from the manufacturer, it costs more but how can you put a price on quality. I really don't care about folks buying the cheaper knock off brands, that's their business, and something in their workflow will suffer for it. In this case, as in most others, you get what you pay for.

Great Package

This package contains black and grey inks in a combination that are used most often in the printing of pictures and in office applications. Overall this package saves you money on the ink and the shipping as well.

Good product and hard to find in stores.

These canon photo packs are not cheap, but neither are they in stores. This is a real time-saver.

Question & Answer

Question :

how many letter pages of text will it print?

Answer :

These cartridges are used by the PIXMA Pro-100, which is a professional photo printer, so we do not test for the page yields for text based documents.

Question :

Are these within a normal "use by" date, or close to expiration?

Answer :

There is no date anywhere on the box or the cartridges. But, they are genuine Canon and work great.

Question :

What's the expiration date ? If there is such a thing.

Answer :

Ink usually has a shelf life. This box says new but not dated so no date.

Question :

Can these work for a Canon Pro 200?

Answer :

No, I do not think those would work with the Canon Pro 200

Question :

Can someone give me an idea of approximately how many 4x6 B&W prints you will get out of these cartridges? Thanks

Answer :

Hi, Chris! This specific ink set can yield an approximate minimum of 492 prints at 4" x 6". We hope this helps!

Question :

Hi, did you state the product dimensions wrongly? How can 4 ink cartridges 12 x 12 x 12 inches?

Answer :

Sorry, I do not completely understand your question. The cartridges are SMALL. Each individual cartridge measures in inches 2 3/4 long x over 1 1/2 inches high (when the shipping wrap and tabs are removed), by less than a half inch wide. The other responders are correct, that is most likely the size of the shipping container.

Question :

The description here says "photo black". Is that different from the regular "black"? I know they have colors "photo magenta" and "photo cyan".

Answer :

Good for you to notice the 'photo' in front of the black. I have purchased & used this collection several times without noticing the photo black difference. If you look at the box drawings of the actual cartridge it says 42 BK. I just checked the last box of this collection which I have not used yet, and these two cartridges also say 42 BK

Question :

Will it operate with only black, gray , can I leave the other cartridge with ink used up for just printing B&W text?

Answer :

I have the Pro100 and if a cartridge is spent the printer will not print even though you're only printing in black and white

Question :

I only print in black and white. Do I need this set of ink (black and gray) or only the blak ink?

Answer :

Hi! Your Canon inkjet printer requires that all ink cartridges be installed and that each one have at least some ink inside of it for printing to proceed. We recommend checking your printer's manual to see which specific ink cartridges your printer needs. We hope this helps!

Question :

Can the pixma pro 100 be used with just these black inks in the printer (to just print b&w, or will the printer not operate without all 8 cartridges?

Answer :

I attempted to make a black and white print with just the black, gray and light gray and could not. I added the photo magenta and photo cyan and still could not. I added the rest one by one. The printer message in Lightroom indicated each time that I had a missing ink cartridge.
