This is an excellent light board! It’s as exactly as described! Its thin, sleek, and very bright! To give you an idea, I took a watercolor painting on 140lb watercolor paper and placed it on the light board. Then I placed not one but three pieces of 70lb paper on top and I can still see the watercolor painting underneath! That’s how powerful the light is! A perfect tool for any 2D artist who needs to trace with higher quality paper. Also, customer service is exceptional! Amazing light pad. I use it for Diamond Painting. I use the light pad everyday so I was looking for a larger size that was convenient to use. Awesome size for the price. Spend the extra money!! This is THE light pad for diamond painting/embroidery !

OMG! I will never do 5D diamond embroidery/diamond painting with any other device. I purchased this light pad after having purchased 2 other pads (at a bit lower prices) where the connections where the cable plugged into the pad had become loose after a short period of time and they stopped working. I do diamond painting as I sit on my couch and place the light pad on a lap desk. I feel that since the other pads were not used “on a desktop” and the pad was moved a few times from my lap to the table through the evening that it was possible the movement could contribute to the possibility that eventually they loosening but the design feature is poor from the concept and the connection is not supported in a way that seats it securely into the actual pad. I began reading more reviews as I considered another light pad and found that almost all light pads that appeared to have this type of micro USB connection for a power supply had a number of people complaining of the same type of failure of the connection. I searched for a pad that had some other type of connection and came across this pad. It has a wonderful power supply system! The cable that came with the light is 10ft long. BONUS! The cable plugs into a “pigtail” short cord that is attached to the light pad itself. You do not plug the cable into the pad directly and there the “pigtail” is attached to the pad, the cable is reinforced and appears it will protect the integrity of the power supply system. This the ONLY pad I found that had an option like this for the power supply and the company should be really highlighting this feature. It is wonderful! The light is larger than I realized it would be but I was focused on the electrical supply when I was searching for my purchase but I find that I love the larger size. It still fits entirely on my lap desk. It does have 4 small non-skid disks on the back of the light. Another nice little touch. Three light settings. The light is a “solid” pad of light, not little matrix-like dots on the pad that were present on one of the other pads I have owned. I have had the light about a week and have used it 2-4 hours a night and love it! I cannot recommend it more highly. I will follow up with my review if I have any problems. I do have to give kudos for delivery that was a day earlier than expected.

I'm able to trace over my master sketch quickly, or simply paint a base layer over my master sketch, without actually drawing on my watercolor paper. Also, my daughter uses it for school when tracing Maps. It is also beneficial when free handwriting, as I am able to use ruled paper and write on a sheet over it.

I use my light pad for Diamond Painting, and to be honest, I don't know how I ever got along without it! The pad itself is very thin, so whatever you're working on, never slips off.  This is my first light pad and I basically went thru almost every one on amazon before I finally decided to buy this one and it is BEAUTIFUL!!! It's all white, no grid, and the power cord is connected into the pad so I don't have to worry about the cord failing like on so many other reviews of similar products. The cord is extremely long(11ft) which is sooo helpful, and thankfully my pad wasn't damaged in transit. It arrived on time and flawless. Great quality. Despite its large size it is feather light and super thin. I can hold it easily with one hand. I ordered it to use for my 5D diamond paintings and I couldn't imagine doing it without this pad! I thought I would want a gradual brightness level where you can adjust it anywhere, but the 3 light settings work great. Setting #3 is almost blinding if you don't have any paper on the pad lol. I ordered the large size, like an A3, and it's wonderful. Not too big to be cumbersome, but not too small where I can't get any work done on it without constantly having to shift my canvas. Customer service emailed to make sure it wasn't damaged in shipping and to see if I was a satisfied customer. I absolutely am. It was definitely worth the extra money!

I'm not sure. I got it to trace through fabric ad it works great. I love it especially for the price.

Can I buy a replacement cord for this?

Answer :

The cord is not universal necessarily as the previous respondent noted. It is not a micro USB or C type cable on the end that plugs into the “pigtail” that comes out if the pad. The other end of the cable does have a standard USB end that plugs into the adapter that then plugs into the wall. The tablet is 5 volt and the adapter is a 5V/2Amp (2000A) It is a relatively more common adapter but not the same as an iPhone/iPad or android cord. See my review for a close up photo of the power supply system. You would want to make sure the voltage is the same as the OME if you are using one other than the one supplied with the pad.

This isn't for connecting to a computer. It is a lighted tablet to enable you to see through what you are working on. I bought mine to use with diamond painting because the patterns are small. It works great and I am very happy with it.
