Great for band practice!
I had a different filter in my earplugs that left everything sounding bass-heavy. I bought these after researching and understanding that they'd cut all frequencies a bit more equally. They sound great in band practice. I play guitar, and can hear the entire mix really well, without dialing in my own amp in such a way that it sounds bad to the rest of the band.

Expensive but exactly what I was looking for
These are the exact filters I was looking for. I had some Westone ear protection made about 5 years ago. I broke one of the filters because they are sorta delicate. Glad I was able to track these down. Also, it says $30 but it doesn't state that you actually get a pair of them. I only needed one so now I have an extra.

These 15db filters are great for more acoustic music
I bought a set of custom ear plugs with 25db filters. These 15db filters are great for more acoustic music.

Great, just know 15dB is 1/2 the protection of foam earplugs
These sound great. Really worth it for anyone involved in live music.
Not a mark against the product, but be careful with these and playing LOUD music. 15dB isn't enough to keep your ears safe, playing, or being near cracking drums. The 25dB ones are the right ones for that, something I wished my audiologist knew when I got these years ago, my hearing would still be perfect... These are good for regular, not brutal drumming, and concert going, and live sound. I also use them for construction, and they're great for keeping in the whole time, hammering nails, using saws, impact drivers, while being able to still understand people speaking at a normal volume.
Also used them for recording and radio performances in the same room as the drums, under the headphones, and you just crank up the headphones and get a good mix without blowing out your ears.

Worth every penny
I use this filter in my Westone custom musicians ear plugs and it fits in and works like a charm. Hearing protection is very important to me, and although I didn't exactly love having to replace one of them for a relatively high cost--it is worth it to me. Had to buy a replacement as the original had been knocked out at a concert.

Sounds good to me
Bought this to replace one that fell out on me and disappeared. Fits fine in my molds and sounds the same as my other. I will note that the 15s have a good balanced sound, but do kind of take me out of the feel when at a live show. Good for protecting my ears during a crummy opener or at a venue where the sound is garbage. For playing loud music they are great, although they do mess with your ability to gauge levels and kind of take away from the high frequency 'presence'...I suppose you can eventually get used to this. If the prices ever go down I might try the ER-9's for something that attenuates a little less.

Question & Answer
Question :
Please clear up if this is 1 or 2 filters for $30. So many contradicting accounts on this listing.
Answer :
Only 1 filter per package. You'll need to order 2 filters, one for each ear, so $60. I reviewed my purchase from 2018. I ordered 2 each ER 15's. The cost was $60, so $30 each.
Question :
Do the filters come in a pair?
Answer :
As the description indicates, this is a single filter... I.e., there’s only one... Also keep in mind that this is just the filter, and not the whole ear-plug. In my case, I needed to replace a single broken filter on a very old set of custom molded ear-plugs, so this was exactly what I needed. These filters, without a doubt, have been the best product I have used. I was also pleased that these replacements fit the custom molds I’ve had since 2000 or 2001 perfectly.
Question :
Would these filters fit in Resound custom musician earplugs
Answer :
Unknown, but probably not...
Question :
Hi, would these filter fit in Resound custom Musician earplugs?
Answer :
I don’t know——I’m not familiar with those molds
