Question: Will this work as a standard radio antenna? Answer: No... strictly a CB Antenna   Question: Will this fit on a hand held midland cb? Answer: You can adapt just about anything but in this case I wouldn't. The antenna is really designed to be mounted on vehicle. If tried to put it directly to a handheld the weight would over time weaken the connection point on the handheld. This is a good antenna on a truck or car.   Question: Does this antenna need a ground plain? Answer: yes   Question: Does this come with the stud? Answer: No it does not come with a mount stud. Its threaded nipple end and that's it.   Question: Does the stick come with the tip? Answer: Mine came with a white tip on it.   Question: Does this Firestik FS3 come in black?
