Verified Purchase So far I am pretty happy with this cable...I am actually using it as an audio cable between my CD player and amplifier...As a general rule a good quality 75 ohm video component cable should also be a good cable to use on a CD player between amp and CD....The main concern with a CD player is RF and EMI interference...other wise the signal is strong enough to over come most capacitance and inductance problems especially on shorter runs...Also the build quality is usually better for component signals as its a higher frequency signal more prone to RF and EMI interference. They are well built; thicker than the audio cables by the same manufacture..The RCA jacks are well designed and well built not too tight and not too loose...They may be too small for true 75 Ohm resistance but they also have added insulation which effects capacitance but may help it get closer to 75 ohm resistance; .who knows unless you have the equipment to test them for capacitance.....Problem is they do not give you the things you need to know, purity of the copper; inductance per foot; capacitance per foot...Capacitance of the rca plugs inductance of the rca plugs etc....So I will try them on a hit or miss fashion which is true for most cables anyway even when they do give you some of the vital specs... P.S. After a year I am still satisfied with this cable as its being used...   ★★★★★ Good price with high quality connectors and available in short lengths. I am happy to say that these cables appear to be very well made, and are working well for me so far. I own a component video switch that I have my PlayStation 2 and Nintendo Wii running in to. Then these cables sit between that switch and a high quality video upscaler(XRGB-Mini). I absolutely needed good quality cables that were only 3ft in length, to minimize the overall length of the run. With analog video, unlike the digital video carried over HDMI, cable quality is quite important. Interference in the cable causes image noise. These cables have nice connectors and are properly shielded. If you need to connect a ypbpr port to a ycbcr port, you will need a digital to analog converter. Generally these are sold as ypbpr to hdmi converters. Answer: I get color with these plugs but I also got color with my older RCA plugs (just not as vibrant). You might want to check out your TV and receiver settings.   Question: With these transfer audio as well? i’m running hdmi out thru a converter to component. all of my hdmi tv slots were fried by lightning. Answer: No, these cables are component cable but this particular component cable only is meant to transfer the video information. It only transfer the red, blue, green color information. You need to find component cable that has 5 RCA connector 3 of the RCA connector should be green, blue, and red color information and than the other 2 two should be white and red which are left and right channel of audio signal.   See more questions
