I misplaced the original charger for my watch and needed a quick but affordable replacement. It is a little challenging to position it correctly but after that initial attempt to figure it out, I can slide it in quickly and easily. The most important thing is to make sure that you align the watch to the connector properly. I always make sure that the RUN button is on the same side as the lever. It is a lot easier if you slide the watch in and adjust it to the proper location by bending the lever on the charger. Once everything is aligned properly, it should work.

Does this cradle fix the initial cradle issues were the watch wouldn't stay snapped into place, and then stop charging

I've used mine for several months. I find it doesn't "snap in." Sometimes I have to take out and reset the watch so that it is properly placed in the charging device.

Original. It is the Garmin product. The China made chargers are hit and miss at working. Avoid them.
