For the record, my truck ran fine without this antenna. However, the factory navigation and compass weren't working. Navigation would show me in the middle of some field in a different state. I finally tracked down the likely culprit (this antenna) and swapped it out.
Instantly my GPS and compass were back up and running!
The install is pretty straightforward- the hardest part is being meticulous about working with the headliner and the retaining clips for the A-pillar. Generally this isn't a hard or even moderately difficult install/swap. There are just several pieces to remove in order to get to the mounting nut of the antenna. |
