Question: Can you tie a lanyard to it? Answer: There is not a dedicated connection for a lanyard, but some people connect a tether through the connection arms between the Shorty and the camera.   Question: I want to buy it to use it for both, land and sea. Do you think would ir perform good in sea water ? Does the manufacturer made it for that too ? Answer: For the sea GoPro recommends the floater not the shorty, that is only for above land use   Question: Can it stand underwater? Answer: Yes, the Shorty can stand underwater. The setup with the camera is denser than water so it will not float.   Question: Would this fit into a fishing pole holder on a kayak? Answer: Likely, yes. If it’s too small wrap it with small Bubble wrap, secure with a rubber band. If it’s too big, open the extension, one prong at a time, use organic play-dough to secure it into the holder.   Question: Will this attach to the thieye t5e camera? Answer: Yes it looks like it will. They look like they use the same mounting so it should attach to the thieye t5e camera.   Question: Any suggestions on how to reduce the audio noise this causes. When holding/griping the closed legs, the plastic rubs together making terrible noise? Answer: If the Shorty is closed firmly it should snap into place md not rub against itself!   Question: Would be light and small enough to bring on a backpacking trip for a week? Answer: Yes it would. It is very light, and it has stand built into it so you can stand it up and use it. I like mine, even though I have not used it yet. Answer: This is made of plastic and a metallic material for the thumbscrew.   Question: I am ordering a gopro session and am considering this extension... does the camera come with the case to attach it to the shorty? Answer: The GoPro cameras should come with frame/case to attach to this mount or any compatible mount depending on who/where you buy it. Be aware if buying “camera only” cause the camera bodies themselves have no mounts on them.   Question: is it nice to use for taking selfie pictures?
