Real copper
It's real copper wire. Not copper coated aluminum.

Excellent wire
Bought this to wire up a huge LED light bar on my tractor. It is very high quality wire, and easy to work with. The insulation has a great feel to it... almost a little slippery, which is really helpful when pulling it through the tractor chassis. I also bought some 3/8 inch split tubing/conduit/sheathing (whatever you want to call it) to cover and protect the wire, which fit the it perfectly.

The 10 gauge carries 40 amps and is pure copper.
I regularly use this to carry 40 amps continuously in a battery application. The strands are not as fine as others, and it is not silicone insulation. This makes it more stiff, but it works fine and crimps great to connectors. Good value. Very easy to strip using the 10 gauge slot in my Klein stripper (so I am not measuring with precision, but that and the fact it works great with all of my 10 gauge crimp connectors is good enough for me). I am using it in a 24v application indoors, I would not recommend it for outdoor use since I think the insulation will degrade quickly in sunlight. While flexible enough, it is not "floppy" like the ultrafine wire strands with silicone insulation. This is actually a good thing since bends will stay put, rather than shorting out the ring connectors I have crimped on the ends.

Good stuff
Nice high quality feel almost like a silicone or something, but doubt that's what it is. I personally used the full length with 30A Anderson connectors on the ends to bridge the large battery bank in my truck to my camp trailer batteries. Worked great for a 5 day weekend with lots of furnace run time. Obviously this wire is far to thin if I was running an inverter in the trailer or something. But my inverter is on the truck with the large battery bank. Not that I really use it other than running the Brightech Ambience Pro string lights. Which by the way I highly recommend. They use very little power, don't flicker/strobe, and put off a nice warm light. Only thing to watch out for is the bulbs shatter easily. I just put them back in their boxes when taking camp down.

Just what I needed
I needed some 10 gauge wire to run from my cars battery in the trunk to the front to a second fuse box located under the passenger front seat for ware of access, and this wire works perfectly. For extra safety, I installed an in-line fuse connector on he red (Positive) wire just in case, and located the inline fuse close to the battery in case I need to replace the fuse at any time in the future. Very thick, sturdy wire I will definitely purchase again in the future.

Nice flexible thick wire
Not sure why 'for working out' is a star option, but the coating is nice and thick so I'm sure you could jump rope with this if you wanted to!
Jokes aside, using this to power a JL w7 on 750watts rms and it gets the job done nicely. Flexible like OFC should be, the rubber jacket is nice and thick. Good wire and for a little over a 1$ a foot this is a nice deal.
My only problem is that I thought 10g would be a little thicker, it's pretty close to 12g so in the future I will order 8g.

Exceeded my expectations!
Exactly what I needed for large amp test leads.

#10 ofc wire
Wire seems to actually be #10 ga. An ofc pure copper is the only way to go for sound systems . I'm using it from my amp to my subs to get optimum performance . The red an black color makes it easy to identify positive an negative . The ofc is more expensive but it's worth it . So all in all a great wire .

Great!!!
This is fantastic zip wire. Good and thick insulation but still is flexible all things considered. It is true to gauge and is actually pure copper. As for the other reviews that claim it's hard to work with or strip.....I think they just don't know what they are doing or are using junk wire strippers. This stuff is awesome wire!!!!

Great wire!
I used this wire while installing a solar panel system in our RV. It is flexible with a thick casing that is pretty easy to split as needed. Copper is expensive, so the value is hard to ascertain, but the performance is there when needed. Would but again.
Question & Answer
Question :
Is this 100% copper or copper clad aluminum?
Answer :
100% Pure Copper
Question :
Does it work for a 48v solar system?
Answer :
This wire handles more than 40 amps for me (more than 24 hours continuous) without getting above room temperature. The insulation rating is 60 volts, I'm sure it would work fine for a 48 volt system, but be aware the insulation is NOT rated for outdoor use and will degrade quickly in ultraviolet light (i.e. sunlight).
Question :
Is this good for battery to inverter operate a tv?
Answer :
When I ran my 1500 watt inverter I used 8 gauge wire directly to the battery.
Question :
I'd like to use it to connect to a small emergency portable compressor to the car battery Would this wire be appropriate?
Answer :
The wire itself can be used to carry an electrical load, the insulation in it is decent.
However, it all depends on the amp draw of the compressor and the length of the wire needed.
To calculate this divide the watts/12 (for a 12v system). This will give the amps draw (watts/voltage=amps). You can then find a chart online for the adequate wire gauge taking into consideration the voltage drop over the wire length. Also, don’t forget to fuse your power wires 6” from the battery.
Question :
What are the overall dimensions (width x height)? i plan to put 3 of cables in a split wire loom tubing wire conduit, need to know the tube size
Answer :
Your going to need 1/2". Particularly with three wires of this size. Note that this is not particularly flexible wiring. Once formed to a bend or curve itll stay there.
Question :
What are the overall dimensions (width x height)? i plan to put 3 of cables in a split wire loom tubing wire conduit, need to know the tube size
Answer :
.190" diameter of each Part (red/Black) Overall Width .425 (bonded), over all height .190" Measured with a caliper so it's semi-accurate
Question :
Can this be used to make DC power cords?
Answer :
I am working on a solar project and it is dc current. As long as you don't go over the ratings of the wire you should be just fine !!
Question :
Will this work for a fuel transfer tank/pump?
Answer :
It should work as far as the type of wire it is but I just don't know if Fuel will affect the outer sheathing if gotten wet. That would be something to ask the manufacturer about.
Question :
How can I buy 8 gauge red and black 25’?
