★★★★★ | By far the best, most complete record cleaning kit. Everything in it is 100% necessary |
Size: Pro Kit | Verified Purchase |
I mean, as you probably all know nothing great comes cheap in the Analog/Vinyl/Audiophile world. This kit has EVERYTHING you need to clean your records AND Player/stylus and more, and not just a sample pack! (Which would be a good deal at this price honestly!) , But actually has nice large quantities of all fluids etc, and full size tools, of great quality, all for a little more than you'd pay normally for 1 of these things! Especially for new record player owners, this gives them so many necessary things most ppl suffer living without for a long time before finally buying(like the center label protectors and anti-static pickup mit thing)! By far the best bang for your buck, and the actual only complete set of all the things you need in 1, for less $! Buy this, you can always buy an upgraded replacement of particular options later(you will use every single thing in here if you care about your vinyl and/or have a decent turntable! |

★★★★★ | The cloth is in the cap!! |
Size: Pro Kit | Verified Purchase |
Like a few others, I thought the microfiber cloth was missing. I contacted the seller and they let me know that it's in the cap of the cleaning solution bottle! So check there if you think yours is missing too.
Confusion aside, I really like this kit. When I was shopping, it seemed like most other kits were short an item or two, while this one has everything and more. The brushes feel high quality and the bottle of cleaning solution was much larger than I expected. One thing I really appreciate is the label cover, to protect it from overspray. I probably don't need the mitts to hold the records, but they are really high quality, so I'll keep them around, in case I change my mind. They're not just paper, like I expected. They're lined with a solt felty material.
I've only tried everything on one record so far, and I cleaned the stylus. This album had been skipping badly so I stopped playing it for a long time. Now it's listenable again. Very happy with my purchase :) |

★★★★★ | Great value and quality much better than price indicates |

If you're reading this then you already know that you get a carbon fiber brush, velvet brush, stylus gel, stylus cleaner, a label cover, micro fiber cloth and the throw in "mitts". That's a lot of items for less than $30.
I've been collecting vinyl for many years and so I'm pretty well versed in most of the vinyl cleaning methods out there. I've developed my own way over time and the end of that process requires a good carbon fiber brush and velvet brush before playing an LP. I've got a few carbon fiber dry brushes and velvet brushes, but my go to fiber brush was either an old discwasher or groovewasher brush (the brand name wore off the metal long ago). The reason it was my go to out of the 4 or so that I had amassed over time was because it never left marks on vinyl or shed bristles onto discs. Something the other brushes couldn't claim. Anyway, I recently killed my trusted brush when I knocked it into some spent cleaning fluid from my Record Doc. And so, I did a bit of research on best carbon fiber brushes, came to Amazon and purchased what is consistently rated as one of the best brushes out there two or so weeks ago. That was the new Audioquest brush (the one with gold in the middle and the short clearance handle). That lone brush was priced higher than this whole kit. I don't mind spending $ for quality but that comes with the expectation that the product does very well what it's supposed to do. The AQ brush was the worst I've handled in many years of cleaning vinyl. Not only did it shed bristles like a house cat, but it left marks on the vinyl as well. That was the impetus for me coming back to Amazon to hunt for another. I chose this set because frankly, I figured that if the brush was as useless as what I had then I'd at least get some usable products that I use quite a bit.
It arrived in a black and white box with the Hudson Hi-Fi logo displayed low on the box. I immediately grabbed the carbon fiber brush and pulled out a couple of old beater LP's to give it a workout. The bristles felt tight against the vinyl and so I ran it through the handle for a couple of minutes before running the turntable and sweeping. I wouldn't swear to it, but I'm pretty sure that running it back n forth for a couple of minutes helped to soften it up because it didn't leave a mark on either disc that I tried it on. Not only that, the brush didn't add to the gunk I was tring to remove by shedding bristles (and I could swear that the heavens opened and the angels gave me a beautiful "AAAAAHHHHH" at the same time). Awesome. The velvet brush isn't the typical wood block type but a much smaller one that does it's job just fine. The stylus cleaner comes in a small bottle with an applicator that is similar to an eye liner brush. I've used the stylus gel in the recent past, before that magic erasers and before that just a common small fiber brush, but I'd never used a sylus solution before. Along with the stylus gel, the stylus solution takes cleaning your needle to the extreme and it's really easy to use. The cleaning spray that is in the kit is of a good size. Much larger bottle and quantity compared to other similar, lesser "all in one" cleaning kits. I don't really have anything negative to say about this cleaning set. I guess the fact that the label pad that is used to protect said label from the spray doesn't have a spindle hole, which eliminates being able to use the spray with an LP on the turntable. I've got a couple other label protector mats that do have a spindle hole and so that this doesn't isn't a big deal to me, but it might be for those like me, who do their last step cleaning with the LP on their turntable. Very minor quibble. I can't see this not being useful to record heads. Thanks to Hudson for offering high quality vinyl accessorries at very reasonable prices. Now off to write a review for the 500 anti static, MOFI like, anti static - rice paper inner sleeves that I bought from these guys. |

★★★★★ | All in one kit |

I Purchased this kit to clean all vinyl records that I got at a thrift store. It does a really good job. The cleaner does not have a strong smell, which I like. It also does a good job of cleaning the records. The rubber disc, placed in the center of the record, protects the label nicely. I also like the cloth and the other cleaning brushes that come with the kit. The grips are fantastic for keeping fingerprints off of the records that are cleaned, when you want to take them out of the sleeve, to play. On a sidenote, I also purchased the acrylic vinyl record holders that are also made by this company. They look really nice. |

★★★★★ | For the Vinyl Enthusiast |
Size: Pro Kit | Verified Purchase |
As an avid vinyl record collector, I appreciate being able to buy a complete set of tools to help clean my dirty records. This set comes with everything needed to give your records a quick cleaning. It also comes with a stylus cleaner, which is often necessary, but rarely ever done. The spray cleaner and cloth seem to work well to get rid of any surface dirt. It's not going to be able to do a deep cleaning, but for the average vinyl collector, this is all you will need. I use the carbon fiber brush with each record I play, daily. The set is worth the money and will definitely help to clean those dirty records. |

★★★★★ | Old records are greatly improved |
Size: Pro Kit | Verified Purchase |
I recently returned to the analog world with a turntable my son gave me. I have an extensive library of CDs but no longer had my vinyl collection and had to start over. I have save a lot of money with ebay buying used records. Even though they are in good condition, most they had not been cleaned or reconditioned. After using the several products in this kit I can clearly hear the difference. The cleaning does indeed improve the fidelity and the anti-static virtually eliminated to "pops". Of cany ourse scratches remain. I also discovered the importance of a clean stylus. |

★★★★★ | A very well thought out cleaning kit! |

While it came nicely packaged but it was missing the microfiber cloth. I tried the record mitts. It's awkward to take off the record off the turntable. Otherwise the rest of the kit was good. I really wanted to like this company but I've been disappointed with my purchases. I also ordered the rubber and cork mat and the day it was due I received an email that the order was canceled. Bummer. Update 04/11/21: I found the microfiber cloth in the cap of the cleaning solution. I used it on a record I got that kept skipping and it fixed the problem! I love the rubber cover that protects the label too. A very thoughtful cleaning kit. |

★★★★★ | 5 Stars for Customer Support |

as for the product 50/50. the lp cleaning solution is very bad and leaves behind a large amount of residue that builds up on the stylus. the kit has a lot of stuff, but its contents are average at best. the carbon brush and stylus gel are good. Again Hudson Hi-Fi has great customer support... |

★★★★★ | Great for deep cleaning neglected 45s |
Size: Pro Kit | Verified Purchase |
My mom gave me a bucket of her old 45s and between her childhood and mine they weren’t exactly properly cared for. Seeking nostalgia I decided to clean and properly store these memories. This kit is totally worth the money. It has everything you need for your collection. Whether it’s upkeep of your properly cared for records or deep cleaning of some neglected ones, this kit is what you want. Plenty of solution and tools to keep you going for a long time. Highly recommend. |
