I had a set of 5 volt led strings for ambient lighting and the power supply went out. The previous supply was being pushed to the upper end of it's output limit - which is why it died. This replaced that and gives plenty of extra headroom power-wise.

Answer :
no, the dc_ok pins connect which the powersupply itself determines that the output is ok and safe to use.

Why is this tripping my gfci breaker? how do i fix it?
Answer :
GFCI trip when they detect current leakage. Current leakage happens with SMPS's. GFCI's have different trip levels measured in mA called "classes" like A, C, D, E, etc. This DIN rail supply specs show that leakage @ input as less than 1mA. Either you forego GFCI or replace your GFCI with one that will "ignore" < 1mA leakage (there may not be one this low...).
