Gotta be Mogami!
Say what you want about cables and if they matter - I notice a huge positive difference switching from the Guitar Center special cable to this!
I do agree this is one of the last things you should be spending your money on. Wait util your cable quality is the main thing holding you back from better sound.

Didn’t get good sound until I switched to Mogami.
This is the industry standard. Great value for money and gets the job done. Cable is solidly built and can take a beating. Could not get rid of connection hiss until I switched to all Mogami cables. I use them with EV RE20/ RE320 and Sennheiser MKH8060 into a cloudlifter (not the MKH8060), then Apollo Twin Duo, MKII. I also use Mogami cables to my Yamaha Monitor speakers. Just get these.

Cleaned up my sound!
Cables truly make a difference. I had been fighting a terrible sound I couldn't figure out for so long. I'm learning as I go so i tried everything from EQ to Izotope plugins, but I could never get it just right. But new cables?
So many people say it doesn't make a difference...well it did. I went from cables that came with an old microphone to top of the prosumer line and they solved my problem! My voice sounds good to my ear now!
If you're on the fence--do it. The sound is crisp and clear now. My voice finally sounds clean just like in all of the videos of people that use my same microphone. I am happy.

Awesome!
Awesome cable! I really never thought that sound quality was in a cable, but this upped the anti for me. It made the noise floor in my booth lessened by about -5dB. And when the noise floor is already below -60, that’s just that much less I have to worry about external noises affecting my quality.
It’s a bit much for a cord, but it’s worth it.

Great quality and sound; just expensive
These run to my Yamaha MSP5 nearfield monitors in my home recording studio. Sound is great. Just expensive. I figured better to just bite the bullet and make the investment. No complaints (other than wallet). Rock solid so far.

Arm & a Leg and my first born for a 10 foot cable...really?
I know it supposed to be "high end" but it hurts a struggling artist to pay this much for one freaking 10 foot cable. I have put together a high end reference studio and I did not notice a 80% mark up difference in my sound. Other than the price it is a great cable.

Great so far
Heard that these cables last for a while and have great quality. So far those things I have heard have held up. I will update this review in 2021... Maybe.

No complaints...
I purchased these cause I did my research and these are supposed to be the best. They are way more expensive then some others and I never tested them against other brands, but they seem to be working out well and thats good enough for me.

Have zero complaints about this cable. It's expensive, but it's quality.
Question & Answer
Question :
Is it balanced or unbalanced?
Answer :
Balanced
Question :
Do these lock?
Answer :
Yes
Question :
Is this listing for 1 single cable?
Answer :
Yes it is. These are worth the money if you are using it for spoken word.
Question :
Do these cables lock?
Answer :
The female end locks while the male end is the same as any other XLR cable. No real locking except that little hole in the top of the connector like every other XLR cable.
Question :
Silly question, but can I use this cable on speaker monitors?
Answer :
Yes.... if the monitors are powered and have a XLR input. This is a line level cable, not a speaker cable. Not a silly question though.
Question :
What lenth is best for home recording pro audio?
Answer :
Lengths are not relevant to home studio quality. You can use any length you want.
Question :
Is this "quad conductor" gold? the title does not say as it does for the 2', 3', 6', 15'...please confirm.
Answer :
Quad conductor
Question :
Will this work connecting neuman tlm 103 to audient id 4?
Answer :
The Mogami Gold Studio XLR Microphone Cable is very well-suited for connecting your TLM 103 to the Audient ID 4. I'm using the same cable to connect my Neumann U 47 to a PrismSound Lyra II with zero interference from nearby AC lines or other audio or RF sources.
Keep in mind, as the name implies, it is a studio cable. That means that it's heavier and not as flexible as lower-grade mic cables. It's meant to be laid across the floor of a studio, and not repeatedly rolled up, unrolled and moved around. I don't mean to say that it's stiff, unmanageable or difficult to relocate if needed, but it is heftier and heavier than lower-priced, lower performance cable.
Question :
Which Mogami cable is better for a powered speaker of 25 to 50 foot distances. The Gold (2534) or the non quad (2549)?
Answer :
i cannot comment on the long distance issue but generally speaking you should go with quad cabling if you can afford it. to my ears quad is quieter than non quad.
Question :
I ordered this but was sent 1/4" instrument cable. i have since returned. i would like to order this but how will you guarantee that i will get xlr?
Answer :
Make sure you order correctly it will come
