★★★★★ | GREAT bike phone mount. Highly recommended | Verified Purchase | So when I started back riding again it took me one ride to realize I now needed a phone mount for my mountain bike. Got online and found this one and I am very very pleased. It is high quality and at a great price. You will pay $20-$25 for a piece of junk at a local sporting goods place. I have provided pictures of how it fits on my bike. The colored rubber thing is a must to firmly secure the phone in the cradle for any ruff riding. (not always fasten the short end first). My riding buddy saw mine and wants one so I am ordering a second one for him. If you need a bike phone mount you will be very pleased with this one. fyi, my phone is a Pixel 2 XL and fits in there nicely. | | ★★★★★ | Colorful! | Verified Purchase | I got this product to compare to another highly ranked bike mount and I really like the color on this one. Plus it's very sturdy. Mounting is very simple, no special tools required, just your fingers. The clamp is adjustable to 3 presets, of which there's infinite adjustability after that. It should fit most handlebars. In fact, I tried it on my car's rearview mirror stalk and it fit there too, which is where I might be using it. Assembly is simple, there's an instruction sheet with pictures, you really can't make a mistake. The black clamps are spring loaded, you could do it with just 1 hand, but it's really tight, which is good so your phone doesn't fall out. Then pull the colored elastic bands over each corner. It's very secure at this point. After going for a ride around the block, including going off curbs, the phone stayed steady. | | ★★★★★ | Good quality bicycle mount for your mobile phone. Highly recommended | Verified Purchase | It's really irritating to be biking and then having to stop to check your phone for directions. While walking you can just pull your phone out of your pocket and glance at it, but with biking it's much more of a commitment. You have to stop, get off your bike, possibly take off your biking gloves, pull out your phone, and then look at your navigation app. This bike smartphone cradle solves this problem, and I couldn't be happier. This will allow you to put your phone on you handle bars and use turn-by-turn navigation as if you were driving a car. Like I said, I wouldn't go too fast with my phone mounted to my handlebars, but for just cruising around, this is great.
One of the main things I was worried about with this mount was my phone's security. If you're on a bike in a busy city and your phone falls, there's a decent chance that it's gone forever. This mount mounts very securely to your bike, and then holds your phone very securely as well. The two adjustable clamps on the side do most of the work, but then there is what is essentially a heavy-duty rubber band holding your phone as well. This secures the phone from all four corners, and with the clamp on the side of the phone, your phone isn't going anywhere unless you want it to. | | ★★★★★ | Mounts easy and securely | Verified Purchase | During our runs, I use my phone for mileage tracking, music and, if need be, to call for support and the Mongoora Bike Mount works perfectly to attach my phone to our running chair. It is easy to mount and my phone fits securely. | | ★★★★★ | Extreme Protection! | Verified Purchase | This mount seems indestructible at this point. At first I was a bit skeptical because it just seemed too lightweight of plastic and the band didn't seem super reliable or sturdy, but man was I wrong. I bought this to hold my phone on my motorcycle so I could use navigation and see who was calling me over my Bluetooth system on my helmet or change my music.Mind you, my motorcycle sits outside so this mount was exposed to the elements since I have had it ( about 10 months now). As fate would have it, I ended up sliding my motorcycle down the road at about 45 mph due another drivers error. I remember as I was going down I could still hear the song I was listening to playing from the moment I went down to the moment I pulled my helmet off. My phone was still solidly attached to the mount without a single scratch on it. I would highly recommend this mount to anybody who rides motorcycles, especially for the quality at a VERY good price. | | ★★★★★ | Perfect Phone Mount | Verified Purchase | I wasn't sure this would work for my phone because the phone case has a ring stand that sticks out a good bit. I was able to put the stretchy part of the bike phone mount on through a different hole than the one shown in the instructions so it was longer on one side and shorter on the other. That way my phone can still be secured even though I can't center it vertically. So you can have one of those popper holder stands or other types of stands that stick out in the middle of the phone and still use this product. 5+ Stars for versatility. It stays on well and doesn't shake like crazy when you're on a bumpy road. But it's really easy to rotate the phone. Highly recommend for anyone who uses their phone for directions or games like Pokemon Go when traveling on their bikes. I dont have to stop to catch Pokemon anymore and thats a huge plus for a geek like me :) | | ★★★★★ | Great for my 8 (Plus) | Verified Purchase | Was looking for a minimalist type of holder to replace the bulky bag phone holder I had mounted to my bars. Very simple design and does not take up a lot of space. The 3 color choice (included) is a nice touch, matches the color scheme on my mountain bike. Have not had the chance to field test it, will follow up after I hit the trails. Fits my 8 Plus with protective case. Have two socket holders on the back of phone but no issues. Easy assembly and used the additional longer screw as the Stout bars I have are oval. | | ★★★★★ | A safe, solid, slick design! | Verified Purchase | Perhaps the best thing I can say about this phone mount is the comment I got from the man who built my custom e-bike. When I went to pick-up the bike the other day, I brought the phone mount with me so I could immediately attach it to the handlebar. The guy looked at the mount and said, "oh, I am so glad you bought a high-quality, strong phone mount." The mount attached easily and securely to the handlebar. It is rock-solid.
The spring-clip that holds the sides of the phone is strong and very secure. At first the springs perhaps felt a little too strong, but after going over a couple of bumps and realizing the phone didn't move one bit, I was confident I didn't have to worry about the phone becoming detached from the mount. In addition to the spring-clip, of course, the mount has a very substantial, well designed rubber strap that holds the four corners of the phone for extra security.
What really appealed to me when comparing mounts on Amazon was the ball and socket connection between the handlebars and the phone. This allows the phone angle to be adjusted while the handlebar bracket remains tightly attached to the handlebar. The angle can be locked-in by simply tightening the ring around the ball.
The holder comes with two tightening screws to allow connection to small or very large handlebars. There is a nice rubber sleeve between the mount and handlebar that protects the handlebar and prevents rotating. Plus, it comes with three rubber straps--black, red and green. The colors are fun and add a little style to my bike!
This phone mount is a winner! Great price, too. Highly recommended.! | | ★★★★★ | Love it | Verified Purchase | I am using the phone mount on my road bike. It is simply awesome - very secure, easy to install. I like the fact that there are 3 rubber holders, just in case one breaks. It's a bit tricky to put the phone in (putting the rubber on just one corner shifts the phone in the mount) but once you've done it a few times, it's actually quite easy. And once the phone is in the holder, it is very secure - at the beginning, I was worried that my phone would fall on bumps and rough rode but now I know that there's nothing to worry about. | | ★★★★★ | Happy with this unit | Verified Purchase | I have only had this phone mount for a couple of days so far, but it has performed as expected.
My first criteria is that my phone fits in it. Phones just keep getting bigger every year and "outgrow" previous mounts. The last mount I had (similar design to this one) seemed to have adequate room for "growth", but even though my phone (Moto Z3 Play) fit in the unit, it really stretched the rubber holders that held the corners of the phone. This was likely the downfall of my last mount as it was the rubber piece that broke. Plus, it never really held the phone securely anyway as occasionally one of the flaps would come undone.
This unit improves on the design slightly. First, it's a big larger, so the rubber straps comfortably grip the corners of the phone. Second, the straps are flatter, which also helps the straps sit better on the phone.. I have more confidence that it will hold better. And third, it comes with 3 straps (probably so you can select the color you prefer), but I see these as spare straps in case the strap I'm using does eventually break. This is the best feature of this unit in my opinion!
If there is something I'm a bit disappointed in it's the spring loaded side arms. My last unit had a release button which released the spring tension allowing easier insertion and removal of the phone. However, that part also broke on my last unit, so hopefully this unit will be more reliable thanks to its simpler design. It's not a huge deal, but for me anyway, it's a two handed process. It definitely feels very secure though.
Installation was very simple, and on a ride yesterday the unit was very stable. They have torn up a street along my ride which makes for a very rough ride, but the mount kept my phone in a very solid orientation the whole time.
I think this mount is a great value for the money. Definitely recommend. | | See more reviews |
