Good quality

Just got these. I'm using them as balanced cables between my Presonus Quantum 2626 and Yamaha HS5's and the noise is now GONE! Prior to these cables I had connected standard, good-quality electric guitar cables between the 2626 OUT and speaker input jacks, but I was getting a lot of static, pops and fizzes (I could hear it when I moved a browser window, for crying out loud!). Thought it might be due to the thunderbolt cable but got a new one and it didn't solve the noise. However, these balanced cables have done the trick.

Not directly related: the Presonus 2626 is great. I'm using it with Studio One on Windows 10 and it's very fast, and now very quiet. It was worth the upgrade to my system so I could install the gigabyte thunderbolt PCI card.

Pretty heavy cable.

Decent cable for the price point. Pretty stout and appears to be well made. I am not using these TRS cables to deliver audio, just to connect switches etc. Fine for that task. Delivered on time, exactly as advertised.

Perfect For Compactability

My girlfriend and I live in a one bedroom apartment. So, having a big, easily flow workstation for creating music was far from easy. I originally had cables almost like these for my monitors, but unfortunately due to them not being right angled: it caused a lot of space issues on my tiny desk that I use as my work station.

So going from 12-ft, non-right angled 16AWG cables to 3-ft, right angled cables made a big difference. My monitors and Scarlett 2i2 aren't popping out from having the previous cables keep them from going close to the wall. And wires aren't on the floor! They are perfect for my situation. Thank you!

Almost perfect TRS cable for dissimilar pickups.

My instrument setup includes a humbucker and an under-bridge piezo. I am able to run both signals through a TRS cable to my Fishman performer, with tip-shield going to one channel and ring-shield going to the other so I can do my mixing at the amp.

This is a high quality cable with quality jacks. I have not noticed it picking up noise from fluorescent lights, static, or mechanical sources. The 90 degree jack allows me to plug into the face of the instrument with a low profile.

I would love it if Hosa offered a longer version of this cable with one straight plug and one 90 degree plug.

Great quality cable!!

Had a whining , humming noise coming from my monitors every time I fired up my (Reaper) DAW..Did a lil research and had a feeling it was the cheap thin cables I was using and I was right thankfully..They're 16 Gauge wire if memory serves (Nice and thick , Quality) and very well shielded..Great for the price.,.

Takes the beating of being connected to my guitar’s foot switch.

Good quality materials and sound.

Monoprice gives us good quality cables at great prices. I have a few other mid-level TRS cables made by Audio2000 which are very slightly better assembled connectors, soldering on both is good.
I would highly recommend these to anyone.

Excellent buy. Don’t hesitate

Served the purpose nicely. Good quality cable to connect a sound interface to a headphone amp. Right angled jacks helped keep set up nice and tidy.

Love how flexible the cable is. Not rigid at all making it easy to go around other equipment.

Custom Questions & answers

Question:Can these be used as a speaker cable or is this specifically for intruments and effects?
Answer:Strictly for line level!
The shield would work against the amplifier, possibly causing the amp to go onto oscillation and damage the amplifier. It will also restrict power transfer, particularly in higher frequencies.
Also,16 gauge wire is too thin to be used as speaker cable without substantial power losses... especially when you daisy-chain speakers.

Question:What's the diameter of the cable?
Answer:Mine measure .297" or 7.55 mm.

Question:Can you open the jack to service the soldering connection or are they sealed / molded?
Answer:The cables I have, the sleeve can be unscrewed, it’s shrink wrapped & there’s a cover over the soldier area but the cover an shrink wrap can be removed for repair. Actually quite surprised by the quality regardless of the price.

Question:Can i use them to connect studio monitors? Because i order a pair and the cable came short.
Answer:No problem, just use cables of the same size for both monitors.

Question:Can I use it to connect a pedal to an amp?
Answer:depends on the amp and if the jack you are plugging into is a TRS jack and if it uses the 'Ring' as a ground.

Question:Can you use it to connect speaker to speaker to transfer audio?
Answer:Thank you for your question. If the connection between the two speakers are meant to be used with 1/4 inch cable, then this should technically work.

Question:I have a marshall micro stack. can i use these from head to cabinet?
Answer:No, this is a TRS Cable (or Stereo) very useful to connect expression pedals, but the one that you need is a normal patch cable or Mono... check this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B004Z2H07K/ref=mp_s_a_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1515230499&sr=8-6&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=speaker+cable&dpPl=1&dpID=414Cg7gJIpL&ref=plSrch

Question:Is this cable good to connect a Digitech FS3X footswitch with the Digitech Jamman Solo XT?
Answer:Yes. You can use this cable to connect the optional pedal to the jammin solo. It works perfectly for me. I use it to connect the optional pedal to the Digitech GNX4. I researched it and they are the same exact setup.

Question:Will these work as a guitar cable....I've always used mono just curious how stereo would work??
Answer:If you look on the male end you will see three (3) sections separate by black rings........ 1. right
2 left
3. common.
when you plug it into the guitar it will automatically will connect to the right channel. in my experience
its low voltage like a turntable.
should work fine.
there is also a 1/4 inch female to mono make adapter. they cost about two dollars.
Good

luck.

Question:Can I use this going from the back of my bass amp to a direct box?
Answer:You probably could though I would Google it to see if the capacitance of the cable ( hooking up a speech to the amp would use a cable similar to a lamp cord ) or that the impedance of the amp output matches the input of the direct box.
