Solid Mount for Large TV's
This TV mount is well built (very solid and sturdy), installs without issue, and works as advertised. When closed, the TV fits closer to the wall than what I thought it would. If installed correctly, this mount should easily hold any TV larger than 42" - just make sure that you TV's VESA mounting hole pattern is compatible. Installation requires time and patience, especially if working with plaster walls. Although installation is conceptually simple, it is very important to read the instructions (which are thorough and should be understandable to follow) and solicit help if one is unfamiliar with the best tools needed for the job. Also, do not use wall anchors; the mount should be fasted to wall studs using the supplied lag screws. Range of motion is good, but movement is stiff; lubrication of moving joints may be needed. It would be nice to have some kind of direct access to the frame in order to conveniently move the mount without having to push on the TV itself. I installed a Mounting Dream soundbar mount together with the Mounting Dream TV mount, and kind of hold the points where the two mounts are connected in order to move the unit. Part of my problem could be the size of the TV. Mine is a 48" OLED, which is relatively small for this mount. The added weight of a TV that is 10" - 30" larger should make movement easier.

I am super happy with the pricing and quality of this. I didn’t install it myself because I think with anything that has a lot of weight you should know what you’re doing with finding the studs and all that so the Best Buy guys installed it for me but I saw the whole thing and they just took a quick review of the manual it came with all the parts and it’s as solid as a rock. I mounted my 70inch to it and it moves any direction I want. The only thing I would say is that it’s a little stiff and my tv is too big so I can’t push it back bymyself or I’ll damage my tv screen with my fingers on it since my arms are tiny but with my boyfriends help we push it back just fine. The Best Buy guy said that it will get easier over time or we can lube it up with the proper type of lubrication for the material to not rust it.

If you have a large TV over 75 inch and VESA is larger than 600x400mm, you should choose a larger TV mount HM2298-XL.
