Works in my camera

Small GB card, but it works with my old (never thought that 9 years was that old) Olympus camera. While the manual says to use up to a 1 GB card, the 2GB card works just fine; the camera recognizes the card and shows approx. how many pictures it will hold. With the 2GB working, I decided to tryd a 16BG card but the camera recognized it, but would only record 8 pictures with it, so returned it and got this 2nd card. Happy with the purchase!

Works Perfectly in My Old Camera

Worked perfectly for my old Fujifilm camera from 2001. I swapped out my old 128MB card for this 2GB card and could take tons of pictures on my vacation at the 3M setting and never came close to filling it. I did not notice any speed improvement when taking pictures. The biggest factor in speed for me is the battery quality. Switching from cheap batteries to  Kodak KudAA4 Ultra Digital Alkaline AA Batteries - 4 Pack  made a huge difference, especially when flash turned on due to power drain characteristics between pictures to charge up for flash again. So all that I saw was dramatically increased capacity (16X) which worked without a problem. I couldn't be more thrilled.

Definitely go to the Olympus website or your camera's website and check picture card compatibility. The manual for my camera was out of date and only listed a max of 256MB and said nothing about these newer "M" and "M+" card types. But a quick check on the Fujifilm website linked me to an Olympus compatibility site which listed a large table of camera models and support. Some cameras require a firmware update to support more. My old camera was listed as supporting xD M+ up to 2GB without a firmware update when some newer models than mine needed an update to go beyond 1GB. It seems most support up to 1GB without a problem, and 1/2 support 2GB without an update, another 1/2 (minus a few) up to 2GB with a firmware update, and a few didn't support it. Bottom line, check the online chart for compatibility first. If it lists your model number and doesn't say anything about needing a firmware update, you should be fine.

This is an excellent value and works perfectly (check your camera compatibility online, not the outdated manual). I can't imagine any reason not to buy the max your camera supports if the price is very reasonable.

The real deal, fit right into my camera, fast shipping, pix not developed yet.....

This seller was great. Overnight shipping. Item arrived in factory sealed Olympus cardboard materials. I cannot remember if it had a plastic "clamshell" case as I ordered so many, I forget, I do apologize about that. I have not developed any of the pictures yet, so I do not know the quality of the images. I was able to do special effects, etc. with no problem. These camera cards are difficult to find since Olympus is the only seller. But these fit perfectly, and I've had not problems. I will be getting some developed within a week or 2, but until then I don't know the quality of the developed picture. The picture looks great on my camera screen though.

FASTEST SHIPPING EVER AND FANTASTIC PRODUCT

I was happy to receive my M+ flash picture card and I couldn't ask for anything more. I was as well able to take a crap ton more pictures at 3M and no speed difference. Didn't notice hardly any lag or lack of pixels. I don't take much video with this but for 36 minutes of record time for vids, this made a big difference.

I recommend this card for anyone needing a pic card of this type. I would also suggest not to order through no one else because i ordered this thing 3 days ago and got it in 2 days with no hassles and came in a correct protective package.

thanks guys

Got what I wanted!

This was the only place where this particular memory card that I needed was still being sold. So naturally it was what I needed, wanted, expected, and ordered. Bought my digital camera in 2007 and was surprised to learn it's already obsolete since newer memory cards are all high definition and this one isn't. Anyway, I was glad to get it except when I went to print the pictures, taken the night before at a wedding, and discovered a problem ---- it claimed there were no pictures on it. When the card was back in the camera it was telling me power off and format. After calling Olympus I went to a camera store where luckily they were able to recover the pictures for a $30 fee and then when they tried to format the card it wouldn't. In other words it was kaput, defective.

Great card for a great price

This is a great card, has served me faithfully over the few months that I've used it, and I will be buying one more like it.

So far, I've been able to take pictures of a lot of things with it (I bought it for use with my Olympus E-500 DSLR MFT camera) and everything's turned out great; I can shoot with it in the RAW format, or I can set it to the other formats (TIFF, SHQ, HQ, SQ) and get more pictures on one card (the RAW format, although amazing, only lets me get about 100 pictures a card.) Was glad that Amazon still had these cards, as this media format and the cameras it supports are no longer being made (I bought the camera at a local flea market here in Toronto.) Recommend this card to anybody that needs one for a camera like it, or just for data storage.

XD picture card review

This XD card works great with older Olympus cameras. The 2GB card seems to be not enough storage and overpriced in today's world but the older cameras that use it are typically in the 7 megapixel range or less so the card holds a reasonable number of pictures. If you have an older Olympus camera then I would definitely recommend this card.

Good quality, good price. Couldn't ask for more

For some reason xD picture card are not as popular as the SD cards but I have an Olympus camera. These are just what I wanted. They arrived on time and fit perfectly in my camera. They will be getting lots of use in the near future since my wife and I will be cruising to the southern Caribbean soon.

Great memory for a great price.

Well, it is memory. It reads and writes quickly and efficiently. I have this in a Fujifilm Finepix 9100 SLR camera. Works very well.

Question & Answer

Question :

Will it fit Fuji FinePix A500?

Answer :

I went to the Fuji Website and looked at the manual for the Fuji FinePix A500. It seems that this model can also use the Olympus xD-Picture Card M+ 2 GB although the manual lists an xD 1GB at the bottom of the xD chart. This information is what my Fuji Camara Manual shows. The xD 2GB is the same size as the others. . . so, go ahead and give it a go.

Question :

is there anything bigger than 2GB capacity available in this size card?

Answer :

This is the highest capacity xD Picture Card available in the world.

Question :

Will this work in my Nikon coolpix 310 camera?

Answer :

As far as I know the L310 and the P310 (I don't know which is your model) only accept SD picture cards, not XD. If so that is better for you, because SD cards are available everywhere and are much cheaper.

Question :

Is this suitable for an Olympus E500?

Answer :

Sure I can answer that question. The card that I wanted for my camera was not the RIGHT ONE. After explaining that to the salesman. Never used it because it didn’t fit!!!!

Question :

Is the olympus xd-picture card m+ 2 gb compatible with fuji finepix s5000 digital camera?

Answer :

I am not completely certain on the Fuji Finepix s5000. I have an older Olympus and it wouldn't take the 2GB card. The camera's internal memory just doesn't hold anything that big since nothing like that existed back when my camera was made. Many people said it would work, but it didn't. I had to return it. You can google the specs and see if you can find a good site that tells you what your particular camera will support. They are all different.

Question :

I had my xd picture card M+ 2gb for about 5 yrs. it came with camera. Do I need to order another card for my up coming trip overseas, camera stylus710

Answer :

It is up to you. You can transfer the pictures from your current xD card to the computer to free up some space for more pictures and videos. If you want the extra space or a backup card, it is always nice to have another xD.

Question :

Is this card compatible with the old C-4000 model?

Answer :

I don't know. You can probably find out directly from the Olympus website or a camera store.

Question :

will xd card fit usb port on computer?

Answer :

You will need a USB xD card reader.

Question :

i have an olympus c-4040 zoom camera and need a memory card...what do i need?

Answer :

According to the Olympus company product information located on this website, http://www.olympusamerica.com/files/C4040_FAQ.pdf *, you need a 16MB Olympus SmartMedia memory card for your C-4040 zoom camera.

Question :

Is this card compatable with my olympus model number sp-10uz?

Answer :

YES AS FAR AS I KNOW--
