Good Quality Memory Cards

These XD cards are difficult to find for my older Olympus cameras since most camera newer cameras take SD cards. They are quite expensive because of that but since my cameras still work well, it was worth the additional money.

You have a lot of storage and can print then delete to free up more storage.

I was happy to find this photo memory card for a very old Olympus digital camera my I gave my sister. She now can take endless pictures of wildlife near her home in NC. She can print them and delete them to free up more storage. Happy with my purchase but thought it was a little more expensive then I would have wanted.

Olympus xD Picture Card 2GB

For me it was a great buy. Got it for my Olympus camera. Did call Olympus to verify the xD-Picture Card, M2gb would work in my camera as it is several years old now. Thankfully they confirmed the card would perform as I hoped. My camera is around 15 to 18 years old.

Excellent Decision to Buy!

I have an old Olympus camera that took an XD memory card and was encouraged to purchase my new Fujifilm because the box said it took XD and I had a spare 128 MB card. Surprise! - this new camera does video, but only about 2 minutes worth. :-( Then I saw this 2GB Olympus XD card, reasonably priced, on Amazon.com. Wow! I can now take hour-long videos, in addition to more photographic images than I can count. I'm so happy that I made the decision to buy. - And with gasoline prices, who can beat Amazon.com's home delivery?!!!

Question & Answer

Question :

Is there a difference between the M and the M+ card? I have an M 256 MB card that got corrupted and would like to replace it

Answer :

Not that I am aware of.... I use both in my camera.

Question :

is this better than the M+2GB?

Answer :

M+ is really better. Well not so much better but a little faster in writing the picture data onto the card, especially video. It's better for capturing video that is moving. But the XD cards now are pretty much obsolete, and only older cameras use them. That is what I bought mine for.

Question :

how do I re-use this card after it is full?

Answer :

You would have to load them into your computer, and then copy them on a CD-R disc. You probably could have them copied at Staples as well. I don' re-use my card, because I like to put the card back in the camera and view the pictures. Each picture card holds around 1200 pictures, especially the 2 GB. I am using my 4th card now. I label each one with dates!

Question :

Will it work with a fujifilm finepix a303?

Answer :

The user manual for the finepix a303 indicates it will only work with XD cards up to 128 megabyte capacity. The 2 gigabyte card's capacity (2000 megabytes) far exceeds that, so it probably will not work. Look for a card with 16, 32, 64 or 128 megabyte capacity.

Question :

Will it work with an Olympus FE-300?

Answer :

yes it will. It is compatible with many Olympus FE serials. For instance mine Olympus FE-230. It is really good

Question :

wwwill it work on fuji s5000?

Answer :

Should worked in my S5100 & S5200

Question :

Do the XD memory cards use a special kind of card reader?

Answer :

I am not sure, but I will venture to say I wouldn't think so. I know both xD and sD picture cards work in the same slots in all my computers, and I think the readers in most PCs and laptops will accept both.

Question :

Will this memory card work with the Olympus mini pen E pm1?

Answer :

I'm not sure but I think it might not since it's for an older model. You may want to contact Olympus.

Question :

Is this compatible with an Olympus IR-500?

Answer :

Hi! my camera is olympus digital 600 this type and it`s works ( 2gb xd gard)

Question :

How do you get the photos off the card? We got this camera from a friend who had never used it. It does not have a cable.

Answer :

There are a couple ways to remove photos from memory cards. First, if you have a lap top, there is an area that you can insert an XD or any SD memory card into. Find the memory card thru File Explorer on your laptop, and then hi-lite all existing files on that memory card, and then hit delete. That should erase everything. Another way is to have a reader-writer cord plugged into the USB of your desk top or lap top; insert the memory card in the appropriate slot and then hi-lite all items on the memory card, and then hit delete. That should work too. Last way is to insert the memory card into your camera, and hit delete picture on each picture frame until all pics are deleted. Having a 'card reader' helps me alot for XD and SD erasing all my blurry pictures as needed. A basic lap top has a card reader too, hopefully has an XD slot. Last idea: Take the camera chip to Best Buy at the Geek squad area inside the Best Buy Store, and they can erase all existing pictures on that card, so it then becomes blank. Hope my ideas help.
