Replacing Camry Dash Speakers???

I replaced my stock dash speakers with some Rockford Fosgates P132 - 3.5" speakers. They sounded great, yet I was afraid they wouldn't last long, since I play my music loud and I could visually see the bass these speakers were pushing. The bass blockers are a must for those who basically would like the speakers on the dash to become a better version of a "tweeter". And especially for those who've already have a subwoofer to handle the bass for them.

Great improvement on my Ram 2500

I installed some kicker ksc speakers on the front dash of my 18' ram 2500 and the bass caused significant distortion out of those speakers. After installing these the distortion is gone and the highs are much more crisp. Install was about 10 minutes and the sound quality is way better after the install. Highly recommended for an easy upgrade if you replace your dash speakers.

they work great!

These have come a long way! i bought a pair roughly 20 years ago and they would cause the music to cut on and off at high volumes. Not the case. Installed on a set of Hertz 3.5s with an alpine mini amp feeding it 45watts RMS and they sound amazing. Nothing but mids and highs with great sound quality!

Makes 3.5” speakers sound GREAT!

Added these to some 3.5” speakers I installed to replace my 07 FJ dash speakers. Works great and speakers sound clean and crisp. 3.5” speakers are useless for bass and will sound like a paper bag popping over and over again. These bass blockers solve that issue and make my 3.5” infinity reference speakers sound amazing. Mids and Highs come in loud and clear.

Awesome bass blockers

Man I had no idea what a difference these would make. I installed these as part of a shop speaker build where I used some leftover 3.5 and 4 inch speakers with external mids and lows. These make sure that the speakers are not wasting any energy producing those low notes that the other speakers are handling. Essentially like a non-adjustable high pass crossover. These are essential and I'm going to use them when I upgrade the 3.5 inch speakers in my car as well.

Works as expected

I got these based on being the "Right" cutover for 3.5" speakers. But after a while I think the cutoff is way too high for a full-range 3.5" speaker. I got the 600 ohm models instead and like the way those sound better. These do work as advertised, just be aware of the frequency cutoff.

Did the trick, worked as advertised.

Replaced the dash 3 1/2" factory speakers in my 2019 Challenger with JBL. The new JBL speakers were getting too much bass, stealing the bass from the door speakers. I installed PAC bass blockers and now they sound great, the bass has returned to the door speakers.

Works as advertised for 3.5” speakers

Kicker 3.5 DS speakers and this bass blocker work excellent. Swapped all 6 factory speakers with no amp in car and having this bass blocker is critical. Was easy to splice and connect to Metra wire harness for Dodge Challenger. I hope it stands the test of time.

Also using this bass blocker takes up more space to a cramped front dash speaker area so make sure you connect the wires well.

Works!

Works as intended, needed to cut out low frequency signal to some front range speakers for my truck and these did the job. Easy to install.

Question & Answer

Question :

Which bassblockers should i use on a 370 watt amplifier

Answer :

Not sure but my understanding it depends on the size of the speaker. These are specifically designed for tweeters for the dashboard. There are others for 5" and up speakers check out YouTube there is a video that explains it. Hope this helps

Question :

Does it matter where in the line you install this? closer to amp vs closer to speaker?

Answer :

Directions show close to the speaker. I don't think it matters. Correct size speaker wire for amp wattage is what's important

Question :

Do these have polarity?

Answer :

If you mean directional, no they are not. You just splice them in on the positive wire of your speaker and you are good to go

Question :

Can these be wired for 2ohm?

Answer :

These will just block the bass from coming threw the speaker you put them on. Not sure what ohm has do do with it

Question :

Can they be used on 8 ohm speakers

Answer :

Yes they are base blockers

Question :

Will this work for a box of tweeters or is just for a single speaker

Answer :

Comes with two bass blockers for a pair of speakers/tweeters.

Question :

can they be used with tweeters

Answer :

Yes

Question :

I want to put one of these on one of 3 piezo transducers to give one side of a stomp box something closer to a snare. Reasonable?

Answer :

These will work great completely blocked all the bass out of my tweeters

Question :

can they be used with tweeters

Answer :

Yes

Question :

can they be used with tweeters

Answer :

They can be used with tweeters although the tweeters more than likely don't have much bass coming out of them
