Nice long sturdy handle and thick but absorbent & soft foam head - does great job scrubbing dirty magnetic tape heads and polishing them up after grime is removed - Use for Otari MX5050BII2 R2R - 1/4" & Onkyo 3 head 1/8" Cassette decks

I needed the long, cleaning head swabs for my VCR recorder playback heads. When they get grimy, these reach the playback video and audio heads without disassembling the unit. Well-packaged, 'new' in a bag, boxed and labelled - a sale done well. And it arrived at least 2 days sooner than the published 'Expect' arrival date! Smooth shopping with -Supermart. Not yet used, but they appear to be a perfect match to what I expected (so 5 Stars for now).

I've been buying the cheaper 'green' swabs. You get more for your money, but you use more because of the reduced surface area. And the 'green' ones can fall apart with some chems. Maybe both have their uses, but these are clearly superior in every way. My ONLY complaint on these is the price.

Does the job well.

Works great on my reel to reel. Running old tapes thru the heads build up plenty of gunk. Be sure to use the correct head cleaner.

Worked perfectly

Did exactly what we needed to get an old VCR up to snuff to view decades old VHS tapes.

Perfect for sensor cleaning

These swabs are just what I was looking for. I shoot a lot of photos outside and do frequent lens changes as well. Doing all those lens changes outside invite a dust and other particles to cling on the sensor. These swabs allow me to gently clean the sensor with ease. I definately reccomend these to get stubborn dust off of your sensor/mirror.

Question:What about for cleaning USB ports?
Answer:As long as it goes in the slot without having to force it it should do the job it is a lint-free swab. But they make them thiner than that I am using them for DVD and CD burners and Amazon does carry them that would be your best bet.
