This switch gave me the signal switching flexibility that I needed with ease. It is also very low noise. Impressive for the low price.

I love it
This is a nice piece of audio gear. Its small size is perfect for tight spaces where there isn't a lot of room for width. It's very solid, well constructed, and has a good amount of weight. The switcher itself is just what you'd expect, built to last.. There is no discernible quality loss.
The switch works both ways, you can either plug in 3 different sources to one output, or you can plug in one source to 3 different outputs (which is what I use for my speakers and 2 headphones).
I absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for a quality switch.

Simple, well made device
For switching analog audio signals with both RCA and 3.5mm connections, look no farther. Rolls makes nice gear (in the US). Functional, well made, and good value for money.

It's completely transparent
If you want something that you buy once and never second-guess your purchase, this is what you want.

Very transparent passive switch
I opened the case when I received it to check on internal components, wiring and soldering and all looked good, maybe a bit the soldering no that tidy but nothing of importance as the product was extremely transparent and passive. Highly recommend.

Simple switch
I just wanted simple, unamplified means of routing CD player, DAC and internet radio into a 60yo amp without crosstalk or grounding hum. Success!

Excellent switch
This switch is solid with a very positive switching mechanism. I noticed no loss or alteration of signal. Built with quality materials and craftmanship that should last for many years.

I ordered 3 audio switches from Hong Kong and two of them went bad. I switch from powered computer speakers to headphones. The switch from HK shorted out, the second distorted the headphone audio. I didn't even try the third. I ordered a push button switch from Ali and that one was too noisy even after trying three different ground loop isolators. At first the Hong Kong switch worked just barely if I turned the volume down on the speakers. Then I happened to see a Rolls Stereo switch on Amazon Warehouse deals. Bought it and hooked it up. At first there was still a buzz and I was very frustrated. Then I decided to remove the ground loop isolator connected to the speakers to try and put it elsewhere on the lines. As soon as it was gone, the Rolls had NO noise or distortion of any kind and feeds my headphones and speakers perfectly. It even has a third input so I can run a second set of headphones or something. The switch on the box itself is kind of low profile, but that's so it can't be damaged by other equipment hitting it while being moved. The switch includes RCA and 3.5mm jacks so everything plugged in with minimal effort. This is a simple, but great piece of equipment to have. Solved all my audio problems in about 2 minutes. They're pricey but well worth it. It works well with my Topping DX7 Pro which I think can switch outputs on it's own, but a simple switch is much better than having to fiddle with the dials of your DAC/AMP. Rolls audio switch is 100% Recommended.
Question & Answer
Question :
Is the rolls 3-way stereo switch (ss32) made in the USA?
Answer :
Yes, it is a 3-way stereo switch made in the USA. I’ve been very happy with mine; been using it for about 8 months now.
Question :
Has anyone tried the SS32 with a cd player into rolls input and rolls outputs to 3 amps or headphone amps ? Read this may not work, but is passive ?
Answer :
It is a passive switch for low level signals. A common input to three different outputs one-on-one. Or three different inputs to a common out, i.e. common to A, or common to B, or common to C. I use it to run my line level to different amps so I can switch between an analog transistor amp or a tube amp.
Question :
What triggers the switching and how does it decide which input to send to the single output in a 3-in, 1-out configuration?
Answer :
Switching is entirely manual via the 3-position selector in the top of the box. I use the switch in 3 input/1 output to connect CD player or digital music or tuner to a 55 yo amp. To my ears the switch has no hum or click.
Question :
I need to switch between 3 amp one dac as source is it good for that job?
Answer :
I think it should. I use the Mini Route 3 to switch one phono preamp to three integrated amplifiers and it works perfectly.
Question :
In 1-in 3-out mode, can it be "live switched" without sending clicks, pops, or worse to your speakers? or must you shut down amp(s) before switching?
Answer :
I had it hooked up to a subwoofer and there was no audible noise when switching inputs.
Question :
Do all the connectors have a common ground? in position a are b and c totally disconnnected or still have common ground with a?
Answer :
Can't answer this question, sorry.
