EXACTLEY WHAT I WANTED
I bought the Sanus model WSSA2-B1 to hold my Sonos play 3 speakers. First of all some reveiws say they are pricey, the speaker isnt fastened to the stand, and that they either didnt come with tools or its too hard to put them together. I used a phillips screw driver as the only tool needed to assemble these stands, not too dificult to figure out what goes where either and my play speakers are securley fastened to the stand with an included mounting screw. I love the cord being hidden in the upright post,and the base is made concave so you can tuck extra cord under the base. The range of adjusibillity is perfect for any application, mine are as high as they go and my play 3 speakers which are larger and heavier are supported nicely. I used the rubber inserts instead of the carpet spikes as mine are on hard wood floors (both base feet are supplied) I searched for a while to find stands that I liked, and these are them.

Temperature tip for rubber feet
Immediately upon receipt, I assembled one stand. Everything went perfectly except for the rubber feet. They absolutely would NOT thread all the way in. I was afraid I'd twist them off if I applied any more force. There wasn't time to assemble the other one until early the next morning. It went together perfectly INCLUDING threading in the rubber feet. As that seemed odd, I re-tried the first one and the feet now easily threaded all the way in. Temperature was the only difference. The package laid out in the hot south Texas sun on a +90 degree day for several hours. Our overnight temp in the house is 68 degrees. So, if you're using the rubber feet, make sure things are cool before threading them in.

Definitely worth the money!
I love these new stands from Sanus, they are a perfect addition to your Sonos speakers. I currently use them for my rear surrounds and replaced the old Sanus stands and the ability with these new ones to adjust the height can't be overstated. My setup for surrounds isn't ideal as my couch is against the back wall so with these I'm now able to raise them above our listening level and direct them towards us without blasting people on the ends of the couch. After I set them up I re did the true play tuning and let me just say wow! The sense of spaciousness and sound envelopment is incredible! If your on the fence about these I promise you they are worth it.

A great solution for Sonos One speakers
I needed a solution at the end of my sofa for a rear surround speaker. The space is next to a high traffic area and I needed something compact to place the speaker. These meet that need nicely. These stands are sturdy, well-built and the set-up is a breeze. The packaging is well labeled, and the instructions are excellent. I read a couple of reviews where some people said the speaker is not well anchored to the stand. Unless you plan on kicking the stand, I see no chance that the speaker would come off. Sturdy Adjustable Speaker Stands
These replace another set of stands that I had purchased about a year ago for my Sonos Speakers, they were to short to place behind the couch, so they sat off to the side. Not a very attractive or safe set up, and they had a sympathetic reverberation at certain frequencies and volume levels.
I purchased a wall mount for a Sonos speaker from Sanus for my Sonos One out in the Spa Room, it was really spiffy, worked to a tee.
So, I looked up their other speaker stands, and came across these. They are totally perfect, adjust to stand the speaker up behind and above the back of the couch, the stand itself allows the couch to slide back to the wall (well not totally abutting the way, but close enough). They hide the wires, are really sturdy, well attached, safe perches for my speakers, and...unlike the old stands, there is no sympathetic reverberation at certain frequencies and volume levels.
Completely pleased, I have another Sonos set up on the TV in the Family Room, I will be using these or the Sanus wall mounts down there too. Do not bother with the less expensive stands, just purchase these, you will be more than satisfied and these very expensive speakers will be out of harms way on a very sturdy speaker stand.

The instruction pamphlet should be reviewed from front to back before assembling the stands.
The stands were used to mount SONOS Play 1 speakers. The package contains all the necessary adapters to solidly mount three different SONOS speakers. The stands are well constructed and are easily assembled. The height adjustment can be done without the toll provided but using the tool makes adjustment easier. That said, I would recommend that the instruction manual be thoroughly reviewed before starting assembly to avoid having to disassemble some parts and then reassemble. Overall, the stands are a very good product.

The Sonos One will rest on top but the Sonos Play 1 and Play 3 will have a speaker bracket to attach. Either way, you can rest assured this will keep your speakers safe because it is UL listed and has been tested to withstand up to 10 degrees of tilt!

With the stand placed on the rear wall, how much space between wall and stand?

In answer to my understanding of the question, I placed the base of the stand against the quarter round trim at the floor and then measured the distance between the lower part of the stand upright and the wall and that distance was 3.5 inches. If the measurement is taken higher on the stand the distance will be slightly more.

One of the stands vibrates constantly from certain tones/beats but the other one is fine. How do you mitigate that?
Answer :
First, we’ll try to identify where the vibrating parts are, the stand or the speaker. Remove the speaker from the stand and place it on a table. Is the vibrating sound still there? If so then the sound is a result of something in the speaker itself. If no vibrating sound then the speaker is okay. The issue is with the stand. Now, let’s try to locate the issue with the stand. Replace the speaker and while the vibration is happening run your hand down the fram of the stand until the vibration sound stops. Now you have to figure out how to better secure that part. Problems can be loose or missing screw/s or uneven spot on the floor. These two items are often the problem. Putting a carpet under the stand can resolve the floor issue. The missing or loose screw is something you will have to walk through the assembly process to insure you have doe it correctly.
After following these instructions you are still experiencing the issue, it’s time to talk with manufacturer and/or supplier for repair or replacement. I hope these troubleshooting instructions have helped you. Good luck.

Floor to the base of the speaker is 43 inches. I have One SL rear speakers that are 6 inches tall so total height is 49 inches.
