Great Replacement Antenna
I bought this after breaking the cords on two (yes two!) of the OEM antennas. That was no one's fault but my own. When I saw this antenna for half the price I thought I'd give it a try. This antenna works even better than the other two and fits perfectly on my old Sirius Boombox. I'm so glad I found this and have since fixed the possibility of the cord being snapped again. Someone mentioned that the black fold open part of the antenna is smaller than the OEM part. It definetly is but the reception is clear and uninterrupted in the south facing position I have it in. I think this antenna actually has better reception.

This Sirius Indoor Outdoor Home Antenna has improved reception on my radio tremendously. Previously I was having intermittent good to poor service.Certain times of day it was awful, this was with the antenna included with the radio that ran from the unit out of the window and up as far the cable (20 ft I think) could reach.Turns out to be not long enough to do the job. The Sirius Indoor Outdoor besides being long enough to reach high on the chimney allowing the unit a very good view of the Southern sky, this cable is thick coaxial type that would not fit under the window without leaving it unlocked.I drilled a hole through the wall from the outside near where the radio is and threaded the cable through. This solved the open window issue as well as eliminates having excess cable running along the wall on the floor.Extra cord is coiled outside of the house n A neat roll.Please do not cut this cable as it cannot be spliced.This is the perfect solution for extending your antenna cable and acquiring excellent reception for your Sirius radio.

FINALLY one that just stays inside on the windowsill!!!
Was skeptical but after my 6th sirius antenna went bad from having to close the window on it, I decided to try this one. Sure enough, installed and set on window sill inside (check this, I even work in the basement office and have it pointed up and East out of the window well and BAM, signal popped on and have been listening all day.
VERY IMPORTANT, you have to be in a city that has the Terrestrial Signal as my signal indicator indicates near zero satellite and this signal is almost totally Terrestrial. They provide a map of cities but from the reviews I think it depends on your city and location for the Terrestrial signal.

This is not coax cable. Only the bigger, outdoor home antennas use coax. Length on these basic home antennas are around 21'.

The antenna works fine. But then I have a Sirius radio. So I don't know if it will work for an old XM. Try e-bay items and see how they describe their antennas. My guess is that it will fit.

I know nothing about this model of boombox, but this antenna has the same plug as any Sirius antenna that I've ever purchased. So I believe that it should be compatible.

Sorry for not answering sooner as I have been occupied elsewhere. Anyway the cable I believe is at least 25'. It may be as long as 50'. It is I stalled so I have no way of be a solute with my answer. Sorry for that bit I hope this helps you in your decision.
