★★★★★ | Love it! Best gift I’ve given mom!! |

I ordered this product as a gift for my mom. She had seen it at her friend’s house and has been dying to get it. I have to say, Skylight did not disappoint! She LOVES IT! It was super easy to set up and send photos to. My mom placed it in her living room and I send her photos of the kids all the time!! The photos immediately pop up on her frame and she’s able to let me know that she likes the photos by tapping the heart. Thank you Skylight for allowing my mom to easily see photos of her grandkids!! |

★★★★★ | Easy to use and just plain wonderful |

I bought this for my 91 year old mother. I am far away and even though we have a very large extended family she was feeling left out. You know, lives get busy. My siblings, cousins, nieces and nephews were thrilled. I sent out the email I created for her and the pictures started pouring in. So easy to set up that she doesn’t have to be tech to use it. She burst into tears . Those s were happy tears, I might add. Thank you so very much. I have 10 grandchildren myself, so am thinking I will get one for our home. |

★★★★★ | Good for everyone, not just seniors |

I bought this for an elderly relative and it was a big hit. I had the frame shipped to me so I could gift it with pictures already on it. At first, I thought that this had a limited market, specifically for seniors who can’t tranfer photos easily. However, after setting it up, I realize that it is good for anyone who likes to look at pics. It is so easy to add new pictures. I have other digital frames that were never updated because of the hassle. I think this is the first time I have given an online review. I had one minor issue with the frame that Skylight customer service immediately resolved to my satisfaction. |

★★★★★ | So simple to set up and use. |

The skylight frame arrived quicker than I expected and is exactly as described. I bought it for my mom's 82 birthday next week. We are celebrating tomorrow but I took the frame of the box and set it up and sent a few pictures to it just to test it out. IT COULD NOT BE EASIER. Can't wait to let the rest of the family know the email address so that we can load it up with our favorite pictures before I give it to her tomorrow. The best part is she doesn't have to do anything but sit back and enjoy. This is a great gift because it's so hard to share pictures long distance with aging parents who aren't tech savvy anymore and have trouble with email or texting. Picture quality is excellent. Functionality is great. This would actually be a great gift for anyone. |

★★★★★ | We like it, and we upgraded to the plus - additional on plus |

I primarily chose this frame because of the aesthetic - the mat with the plain black frame. I didn't like the frames that had beveled edges or a design on them. I mistakenly thought that it would be a plain black wood frame - but it's plastic. It looks OK though.
The frame operates with a touch screen, much like an iPad. I was concerned about the review that you "can't delete pictures". Deleting is pretty easy - touch the screen, and hit delete.
Since we put the frame up, we really like looking at the pictures/memories a lot. It has motivated me to get pictures off of my phone, computer and CDs and into the frame - AND delete pictures and throw away printed pictures that I don't want to put in the frame (and also the duplicates). It is really helping me to reduce digital clutter and put loose pictures into something productive instead of a shoe box.
When picking your email address - pick something that when you start to type it into the email that no other email will start to autofill. I mistakenly put the first name of my spouse and it always competes with his email. I sent an email to Skyframe asking them to change it and literally within 5 minutes they changed the email for me - I was blown away with the speed of the customer service department.
So So So So many complaints about paying for the plus app. I had no plans of buying the plus app - the plan was upload the pictures and that' s it - I didn't need anything fancy. We like it so much that we are going to upgrade to the Plus.
Sure it's extra money - but it costs the company money to maintain that service and services like the above. It's less than a dollar a week. I know that we are being bombarded with subscription to this and to that... but it is WORTH the money to help organize your digital clutter and photo clutter.
We just bought a 2nd frame so that we can have one main frame that displays different events in our life in the landscape format. The 2nd frame is to display portrait photos only - think of all the 8x10 and 5x7 pictures that you have - all of those go to that frame.
Here is the thing about plus - it is great to be able to upload multiple image files from your lap/desktop or phone... here is the catch - if you want to display a slideshow in "chronological order" - Skylight seems to define "chronological order" by when the file reaches the Skylight frame - NOT the time/date stamp of your pictures.
This means if you upload 50 pictures from your vacation and you want them in order from the plane to the hotel to the beach to the next day, etc. AND you want them to stay in that order - you have to upload them one at a time - other wise if picture #49 loads to the frame quicker than picture #1, the frame recognizes #49 "chronologically" before picture #1.
Also there is no way in the albums to change the order of a slide show once you put them in the frame - you can have "random" or "chronological - and I just defined "chronological"
It would be so nice to be able to set the order yourself - other than that, I do like the frame |

★★★★★ | HIGHLY RECOMMEND - PERFECT GIFT FOR GRANDMOTHER IN QUARANTINE |

I can't say enough good things about this. Just opened it today and filled it with a few pictures to get started. Super easy to set up (tried it at home first before bringing to Grandma). Took it to her house and hooked up to her internet (easy). She cried. Over the last few hours, family has sent her more pictures. It notifies her when there's a new picture, so it's like Christmas every few hours. She's in awe. It works whether she knows how to work it or not. Eventually, she will learn how to vary the speed, pause the pictures, zoom in and zoom out (it's a touch-screen).
NOTE: send one picture at a time for best quality, otherwise it compresses them to fit into an email that's about 2MB in size and then the pictures are pixelated. Very easy to remove duplicates or crummy pictures (there's a delete button on the screen). Also easy to rotate pictures that arrive vertical rather than horizontal. |

I bought this frame for my Mom who is downsizing and I thought this would be a good way to lessen the clutter with all of the picture frames on the dresser. The setup and operation couldn't be easier. I set it up at my house, connecting it to my WiFi. Sent a few pictures through the custom email address that you get to choose (<yourname>@ourskylight.com). When we turned it on at Mom's house I expected to have to crawl through settings to get it on her WiFi. Instead, with no WiFi connection, the visible SSIDs appear on screen and you pick the one you want and enter the password. Nice interface, Skylight! The frame lets you select the slideshow speed and whether to show in order or to shuffle, and a huge feature is that you can swipe the screen like an iPad to go back to the one that you just glanced at before it scrolled away (you can swipe forward too). Again, Skylight gets interface kudos for putting up a button to delete the current photo when you touch the screen, so as we email pictures to her frame she easily discards old ones or pictures that she doesn't want. I haven't played with videos, but you there is a setting for whether the sound plays (which I have set to "off" so that the frame doesn't "randomly" start blaring sound.) I'll bet if you touch a video it will let you turn the sound on. Great job all around. Couldn't be happier with this product. |

Gave this to the in-laws on Thanksgiving as an early Christmas present. We had it unboxed, account set up, device added to WiFi and pictures loading in 10 minutes. It was super easy to set up and within minutes, five people sent assorted pictures that were quickly visible. The better the quality of the pic taken, the better the pic on the frame. I love that all the families can contriysimply by emailing the desired pics to a personalized email at that we created. |

We ordered three (one for grandma, one for our daughter and one for us). Very easy to setup and use. We can now send photos from our phones/tablets directly to Grandma's frame for immediate viewing. We have been having a lot of fun with this. If you end up with duplicate photos it's very easy to delete them on the fly directly from the frame. You can also 'love' the ones you really like and the sender gets to see that you 'loved' the picture they sent. It's a nice surprise when a new picture shows up - and the frame gives you the option to go straight to any new photos that have been received. Highly recommend! Particularly for older and/or non techies who just want to see (and keep) pictures in a larger format (than phone) and don't want to mess around with trying to save from emails on a computer, etc. |
