The perfect Digital frame for anyone
Color: Black | Verified Purchase
Welcome to my review of the Skyzoo 10.1” digital frame, if you’re interested in some of the details of how it works, keep reading. Otherwise, if you want the quick overall summary, go to the last paragraph.

I read a lot of reviews about all the frames and this one had the least number of negative reviews. Honestly after getting to play with this for over a week before I sent it to my mother, I don’t know why anyone would give it anything less than a perfect rating. So, without rehashing what the actual negative reviews are, I’m just going to address some of them that I remember:

1) “It seemed a little difficult to set up” or “it took a while to set up”. It is very easy to set up, almost too easy. What I found out is that after you put in your router password, wait for about 2 to 4 minutes to allow the frame to hook up. Remember, this is not using an Intel processor so it will take some time. Also, the best bet, during initial setup, after you put in your router password, just walk away from the frame for about 10 minutes, after it gets on the internet, it is going to have to do some updates.

2) “The app is difficult”. I’m sorry, but I think that comment was put in by a competitor. The app was so easy that my 60 – 70+ year old aunts had no problems with loading it and sending pictures.

3) “I can’t delete the pictures once they are on the frame”. You can easily delete pictures from the frame. Tap on the picture, then tap on the gear (settings), then tap on Manage Photos and when you are there, you can select the photos you want to delete

4) “It’s difficult to change how I view the pictures”. It is VERY easy to edit how the photos are displayed. Tap on the photo, tap Adjust photo, rotate the photo if needed using the circle, otherwise, move the photo to an area where you want the main subject then tap the checkmark. After that, try fill frame, if you don’t like it, tap the fill frame again and it will put it back to previous setting.

5) “I have to accept the pictures in order to see them?” or “It’s difficult to see the photos after they are sent” or “I can’t see what was sent to me right away”. It DOES display the picture when someone sends them automatically (if you have that option on – which is on by default). Just keep in mind, it will put them into rotation with other pictures in the slideshow. If you want to see them right away, you will have a notification in the upper left-hand corner informing you of the new pictures, if you tap on that, it will show you all the pictures that were sent in that run. Then after you stop touching the screen for the duration of the timer, the slideshow will resume.

6) “There is no way to react to the pictures”. The most recent update allows the owner of the frame to react to the pictures/videos sent. Easy way, double-click on the image and it will give you the options to select from. After the selection is made, the app will let the sender know that a reaction was applied to their image. Also it will let them know what the reaction was and to what picture.

Those were some of the complaints I read, but I thought for the price of this frame, and the overwhelming other positive reviews, I thought I’d give it a try. Only to find out after I received it, it just takes a few minutes to get the answer to the complaints.

Some of the other features I like about the frame:

• The pictures are beautiful! The display is super clear and crisp. Some of the old pictures that were scanned about 6 or 7 years ago look so much better on the frame than they do on my computer.

• I sent the request out to 6 family members and was able to allow them to send the code out to other people so I don’t have to be the only one to allow others to hook up to the frame.

• The option on how to view the slideshow is easy to choose from; Date received, date of the picture, or shuffle. Personally, I liked the shuffle because the variety seems interesting to me. Only thing to remember, if you want to delete a picture or video, it will probably help to sort them in order received then go back to shuffle after the deletion is completed.

• The settings for each picture can be changed from ‘Fit window’ and adjusted for the subject if you want the viewing to be a little different for each picture. So, whatever the default viewing feature doesn’t have to apply to every picture as not everyone takes pictures the same.

• The frame can travel with the owner. All they will have to do is hook up to the internet whenever it is plugged into the new location. After it hooks up, wait a few minutes and it’s good to go.

• In the app, when the sender is selecting the pictures or videos to send, they can include a caption with the image and the owner has the option to view the caption or not. So far, the general consensus is to keep the captions because my nieces and nephews have put in some awesome messages for their grandma, and she loves them.

• The ‘sleep mode’, auto on and off feature works great and is easy to adjust.

• The photo timer allows each image to stay on the screen for up to 24 hours at a time and for as little as one second. Only thing is, whatever you set for the timer, applies to all the images.

• If the owner wants to hear what’s on the videos, they can control the volume in the settings. Only thing is, whatever volume you set, applies to all the videos. however, if they want to listen to a video, they can tap on the screen when the video is up and turn the volume up for that video and it will remain on that setting the next time the video plays.

In summary, for the price of this frame, the image is fantastic and its super easy to use and send pictures to. My 75 year old mother got the hang of how to manage this frame much faster than learning her phone or tablet. It works great right out of the box (after allowing it to hook up to the internet and perform its update). As a matter of fact, it works so good, I’m going to buy one for each of my Aunts and myself then send all my cousins the info to have fun with everyone. I'm SUPER HAPPY with this purchase.

The Next Generation In Digital Frames

My last frame died after 2 years. I replaced with the Skyzoo 10.1 inch frame. The first thing I noticed was the photo clarity thanks to 1920× 1200 resolution. The frame itself is very nice and will look nice on my shelf. Technically the fact that it can use either 2.4 or 5ghz makes compatibility with your wireless router easier and transfer faster.

This has been one of the best purchases I've made. This frame will make the perfect gift. The resolution is awesome. None of the pictures on display were distorted or blurry. You have control of display length, full frame or not and so much more. Storage is amazing. I uploaded over 1000 pictures and still have storage for many thousands more. I'm not into technical stuff, but this frame was super easy to set up and also use. Very satisfied and will probably order more to give as gifts

Great gift for those who live far away! Easy to set up.

Exceeded expectations

My mom had been asking for one of these for a long time and I had a hard time finding one cheaper than $100 that also connected with an APP to send photos through my phone. This is all I had been looking for. The packaging exceeded my expectations and the image quality is really good. Only thing: it has to be plugged all the time.

I did a lot of research before I found this WIFI frame for my mom and I'm thrilled with it.
Color: Black | Verified Purchase
I have had a digital frame of my own for years. I decided to buy a wifi frame for my elderly mother's birthday. I learned a lot from the experience. There are so many options out there, it's hard to sift thru the info and the reviews. I am so pleased with this purchase. Here is what I learned.
1. Resolution! My old digital frame has a resolution of 1920 x 1080. This Skyzoo frame is so much sharper and brighter. Look for a resolution of 1920 x 1200 or higher! It makes a world of difference.
2. Touch screen is sooooo much better than a remote. It's just easy.
3. The frameo app is really easy to use. I've read some strange reviews about people complaining that they could only load 10 photos at a time. Why do you need to load more? It's so much better for photos to appear once in a while, it's just more fun!
4. This frame shows both videos with sound (which you can silence if needed) and photos, you don't have to change any settings, it simply runs a slideshow of all of the saved files.
5. I had the frame sent to me, I set up my brothers and sister, nieces and nephew so they were connected and had them send some photos. Even my sister figured it out. I figured out all of the settings, then I took it to her. When she plugged it in the slideshow started automatically and she squealed. She loves it.
6. Be there in person to show them how it works. Even tho it is so easy, it's tech so Mom would struggled with it. I showed her all of the settings, sent her a photo so she could see how it worked and then set up the app on her phone for her and showed her how to send herself photos from her phone.
7. Some people seem to be obsessed with a battery powered frame vs. a plug in. Buy a plug in! You want it on when you are home and batteries just aren't that great. Deal with it!
8. I feel like I got lucky with this frame. I was nervous that it wouldn't be all that I wanted for Mom but it really hits all the marks. This is going to be fun!

Easy to use! Love this frame!

I really liked how easy it was to set up and get going! Just need the Frameo app and you’re good to go. Easy to send pics to it and it is easy to change settings to make it how you want. It isn’t battery operated which limits where you can put it or hang it but other than that it’s been great!

Love It

I did a lot of research before buying this digital picture frame. It seemed all the others had one or more things that I didn’t like - required subscription plan, worked only on batteries, unattractive frame, low resolution screen, limited customization, no way to email photos, etc. However, the Skyzoo frame met all my requirements and more. It’s easy to set up, easy to use, simple to send photos and videos by email or thumb drive, beautiful high res screen, sleep mode, easy to customize, and doesn’t need batteries. And no problems - works perfectly. Our family loves it. This was absolutely the best frame for us.

Amazing Digital Photo Frame!

Hands down the best digital photo frame I've found. Easy setup and easy addition of photos either by app or external drive. Large nice looking frame and screen that has very good resolution for the price. Got this as a Christmas present for Grandparents and know they will love it already being loaded with pictures ready to show off their grandkids.

Question:Can you use just the external storage to view photos or do they have to be imported to the cloud?
Answer:The app allows you to add phones from your device.

Question:Why can't the external storage upload pictures?
Answer:1) The external storage (e.g. USB/SD) supports a maximum of 64GB.
2) The drive format is not supported. The frame supports the "fat32/
NTFS" drive format.
3) Full memory will also cause photos not to be transferred.
4) After the USB picture is uploaded successfully, the displayed title is
the file name of the picture, and the time is the upload time. If you don't
want to display this information, please go to Settings>Slideshow>Show

Question:Can you pair the app with multiple frames, so we could gift them to each of the grandparents?
Answer:It should. When you send pictures on the app it lets you choose where to send them. We just have one, but we have to select it before it will send. You'd just need the code from the frame

Question:Does this frame have the capability to export photos to the USB thumb drive?
Answer:Yeah, you could export photos to a USB thumb drive by clicking "Settings-Back up"

Question:Why my friend can’t share photos with me via frameo app?

Answer:Yes, it has 180 degree wide angle.

Question:Can you slow down the change of photos??
Answer:It comes set at 30 seconds. I believe you can slow it down more, but I sped both of mine up.

Question:If I send photos to the app, do they automatically pop up on the frame or do you have to except them in order for it to show up?
Answer:it will automatically pop up on the frame.

Question:I want to have this directly shipped to my mom who lives in another place. is there a way to set it up on app without scanning the code?
Answer:As long as she is able to hook it up to wifi she can start it up, and then she will have to give you the code provided by the frame. From there you can have total control of it through the app. It is a very simple touch screen operation.
