There are lots of 1/4 inch screw mounts that allow for a vast variety of accessories to be attached (mics, lights, gimbals, levels, flash, handles, mounts, monitors, etc. etc. etc.) Yes, it's pricey for a mount, but it's rugged but lightweight aluminum. It's also incredibly thoughtfully designed.
Note that if you have a smaller phone, you might want to look at some of SmallRig's smaller mounts. While this is considered "universal" and will work with just about any phone, I think it's more suited to larger phones. Being that the frame is all metal, I'm also confident that it can easily withstand a direct hit from an attacking outside hitter without cracking or bending like a plastic frame can.
And the frame is also nice and small, so it doesn't add much bulk or weight to all the kit I have to carry to the event site. And that small size also helps ensure I don't make it an even bigger target during the matches.
The only thing I'm planning to add is a threaded bolt that can be screwed into the top center hole after the phone has been mounted in the rig. If the bolt is long enough, it would come into contact with the spring loaded clamp and would prevent it from accidentally lifting and releasing the phone. A few weeks ago arrived to our office a copy of their most recent accessory for all of those who are looking to record video in a professional or semi professional way and today I want to tell you my experience.

The Smallrig CPU2391 Universal Smartphone video rig is an additional protection for your smartphone while using it on the field or in a studio setup. An integral supported that protects and secures your phone and allows to mount and growth its capacities by using their cold shoe adapters or its 1/4 20" threads. You can mount lights, wireless receivers, additional monitors, audio mixers, etc; the limit is your imagination. The idea behind this accessory is to make your rig as you need to and then remove your phone to use it for other activities. and once you're ready to record just place it again and it will be good to do. All you have to do is to place your phone, connect one cable and open your favorite video app. We love Filmic Pro and Mavis. And yeah, it's toddler proof.

The video rig is not compatible with iPad but most smartphones on the market. iPhone 6, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6 plus, iPhone 11, iPhone 11 pro, iPhone 11 max, Samsung, Huawei,xiaomi etc.
