Chose to mount this specifically in order to avoid running wires through the wall. The only issue was in my effort to get the speaker as close to the TV as possible (to hide the two wires) I initially installed the mount too high up. Even then it was only an issue because the speaker is lowered onto the mount from above. Just took a little trial and error; a better TV mount or another person would have made it no problem at all.
