These cables look great, and are built like a tank
Size: 2 Meter | Verified Purchase
These cables look great, and are built like a tank. They have bead-blasted machined metal ends, and a very attractive cotton outer covering, double shielding (metal mesh and foil).

They have a directional arrow on them, which should point away from the sound source (typically a receiver), and toward the subwoofer. This isn't because of some magical alignment of the grains in the copper wire. (Don't laugh - I've seen cable companies claim this. Actually, go ahead and laugh, because it is ridiculous.) What it means is that the shield for the cable is grounded at only one end, not both. This prevents it from conducting electricity, which can cause ground loops (humming). They ground it at the source side because that's where the signal is coming from. It wouldn't be the end of the world if you hooked it up backwards, but if nothing else, it will remind you which direction the signal is traveling. And, most importantly, it helps prevent ground loops, which, if you encounter this, is pretty horrible.

They are absolutely fantastic cables, at a very reasonable price. My advice is to get it a little longer than you think you need. Some extra length generally isn't a big deal, but if it isn't long enough, you are dead in the water. Two meters is very reasonable for most applications. One meter is shorter than you think, and really should only be used if you are hooking up two stacked components in the same cabinet. And, even then, if later on you change the configuration, it will probably be too short to use.

One thing to know before buying this particular cable is that this is a single cable for a subwoofer. If you need right and left cables for stereo, this won't work unless you buy two of them.

Highly recommended (for a subwoofer).

It's SVS, you can't go wrong!
Size: 2 Meter | Verified Purchase
I purchased this to replace a Monster Cable Interlink 100. I recently purchased an SVS PB2000 sub, so I figured I'd use an SVS interconnect to match. The sound of my sub has changed significantly and I'm not one who believes that cheap cables perform any less than expensive cables. My sub is hitting some really scary low notes, notes that make me afraid that stuff is going to start falling off the walls in the house. The cable is VERY solid with high quality ends. If I ever need additional interconnects, I am going to go with SVS!

Must Have
Size: 3 Meter | Verified Purchase
I have a 500 watt SVS PB-2000 and a 105 watt Klipsch KSW-12. This SVS cable replaced the MONSTER CABLE Monsterbass 400 Subwoofer Cable on my KSW-12. Now my 105 watt Klipsch sounds MUCH more full and louder. The Klipsch stands out more than my 500 watt SVS PB-2000 now, so I need to run my Audyssey MultiEQ XT32 again to balance everything out. Not a bad problem to have.

This SVS cable seems to sound just as good as the Monster® M1000 SW High Performance Subwoofer Cable that is on my SVS subwoofer. I will know for sure when I swap out the Klipsch for a matching PB-2000.

This cable puts SVS as the only way to go for all your subwoofer needs in my book. Can't be beat for the money

Flexible cable that looks good on the floor too
Size: 3 Meter | Verified Purchase
I like the cloth sheathing on this cable. The cable is very flexible allowing it to lay on the floor right where I put it. The black and blue pattern doesn't look bad either. The ends are good quality and provide a nice tight fit onto the RCA connector. I just purchased an SVS subwoofer and didn't really notice at first that I had selected the SVS interconnect. I can't say much about the sound since I just got the subwoofer too. It seems to be a good robust interconnect cable for the money.

Cleanest signal transfer
Size: 1 Meter | Verified Purchase
I had been using Blue Jeans LC-1 interconnects (1 meter) between my Cambridge Audio CD-550 cd player and my NAD 326BEE integrated amp for about 7 years (going out to PSB B6 bookshelf speakers). Being an audio enthusiast (unfortunately on a much tighter budget than in the past - I lost to major flooding a Bryston 4B power amp, Forte pre-amp, Aragon 47k phono preamp, vpi jr turntable, Magnepan MG IIb speakers, Cardas speaker cables and Straightwire Virtuoso interconnects. I decided to do a cable swap from the BJ LC1 (which I found on the warm side with very extended bass but somewhat veiled highs and not the most revealing of inner details). I listen to a lot of classic rock, soft rock, folk, country & jazz. I have a few key albums (two of which I can't recommend highly enough are Mark Knopfler's "Tracker" & Emmylou Harris "All I Intended to Be") that I use when doing critical listening. I won't mention the two other cables I tried out before landing on the SVS cable. Both of the other two cables gave much better highs but were rather weak in the bass (maybe I was just very used to the bj lc-1 bass). Anyway, if you've read this far, thank you. I want to say that the SVS cable covers ALL areas of the tonal range equally well with gobs of detail and imaging/soundstage. The SVS cable is to my ears simply sending the signal through with no "voice" of its own allowing my components to reveal their exact nature. I know there is the "Great Cable Debate" that has been going on forever but in my case, I've listened to my musical library on my current system for over a decade and to my ears I can hear a difference between cables.
I am now content to leave the system alone (unless I come into some large sum of money so I can do some speaker, amp and source upgrades). Bottom line, if you're on a budget, give the SVS cable a try!

Top quality subwoofer cable from one of the premier powered subwoofer manufacturers
Size: 2 Meter | Verified Purchase
I have a powered SVS subwoofer that has been a very big upgrade to my biamp 5.1 home theater setup. Even though I have tower speakers with 12" woofers, the powered sub added a lot of punch. It made sense to buy a SVS subwoofer cable from the same company as they are not going to jeopardize their main product line of subwoofers with an inferior audio cable.

Lots of snake oil salespeople pushing the magical properties of their audio cables to justify selling them at a 900% markup. But these SVS will provide the same or better performance at a price that is fair and a good value.

SVS is a great company

The quality of this cable is great! It’s heavy duty. It sounds great on my SVS 12NSD sub as well. I had a Monster THX sub cable prior to this. The sound quality is the same as the THX cable but has better construction. It was also less expensive than my Monster THX sub cable was. SVS is a great company! I have SVS prime speakers in my Atmos setup. I have prime satellites, prime center, and prime bookshelf speakers. They make very good subs and speakers. If you buy directly from them you have a 45 day in home trial in case you don’t like their speakers you can send them back. If you haven’t heard any of their subs you should give them a try! You won’t be disappointed. Very high quality in all of their products.

This is a directional cable if you're wondering
Size: 1 Meter | Verified Purchase
Didn't know it was a directional cable until I installed it and had no sound. Then I saw the arrow on the plug. It's listed on their website as ...... DIRECTIONAL shield layer is a spiral braid of premium grade Aluminum foil and 56 strands of 99.99% OFC tinned copper Shielding – critical part of five-layer insulation system. Soldered to ground terminal at the source side helps reduce EMI and RF noise between electronics. No big deal works fine

Recommended and would buy again

I have a very good subwoofer cable from another vendor. I needed a shorter run and decided to give this cable a try as it was in the same price point as my preferred vendor. Plus these guys make some of the best Subs on the market – so their cables should be good. A little blue sky logic. Upon receipt, these are very nice looking cables – just like the pics. They are extremely well made and engineered. In comparison, they are slightly more flexible with a slightly smaller gauge. The connections fit the components (Sub/AVR) like a glove. After several weeks of use, the performance is identical – which is all I was seeking. Well done SVS. Recommended and would buy again.

BUY THESE CABLES.
Size: 1 Meter | Verified Purchase
If you are using Mediabrige, Kabeldirekt, Monoprice or other cables in the "better than the cheap free RCA cables" heed my words...BUY THESE CABLES AND HEAR WHAT YOU'VE BEEN MISSING.

No hype or snake oil with these cables. For use with both Sub and preout to amp connections these cables have transformed my home audio experience to what I was trying to achieve with the previously noted cable interconnects. For all my tweaking, positioning, crossover adjustments, level adjustments etc I could not get the sharp, detailed, life like audible presentation I wanted. Now look, I had a very good/Excellent result with the previous cables, but with the SVS cables I have achieved stupendous audio.EVERYTHING is improved.Everything.

Truly the very best of what my "mid level" gear is capable of producing now has the proper veins to flow through. Thank you SVS.

Custom Questions & answers

Question:how do I order a pair of this cable with red and white marking? There is no option on it.
Answer:I don't see any option to order a specific pair; you can order two, but no guarantee that you'll get a red and white. This is a high quality RCA interconnect and probably worth the higher price; it can be used for subwoofer (as a single cable) or for stereo audio (order 2) hookups. HOWEVER, since they can't be ordered as a specific pair (if your want 2 for stereo), and can't specify the color, you don't know if you're going to get a red and white or two of only one color. The color bands are NOT interchangeable. I got two reds and wanted to use them for stereo interconnects.

Question:can you buy in pairs
Answer:You will need to buy 2 to get a pair

Question:Which connectors are for the two ceiling speakers of Atmos?
Answer:Connectors?

Question:Is this a stereo pair or one mono cable?
Answer:It's sold as one mono cable.

Question:Are they unbalanced ? stereo or mono
Answer:Unbalanced, mono

Question:Is anyone useing these RCA's for car audio or just home theater?
Answer:Remember car audio speakers 4ohms.
With home theatre systems speakers 8 ohms. If your into music you can get speakers that are 4 ohms dealing with power amps the middle to high end amps. The amp you can plug use either 4 ohms or 8 ohms and just plug in your speaker. Amp automatically knows

Question:At this price is it for two
Answer:The price is just for one. I got two reds and wanted to use then for stereo interconnects.

Question:I tried connect my receiver to subwoofer using 1 male rca to 2 male rca to lfe but not working, can i use this cable for that ?
Answer:You take this cable from the SUBWOOFER PRE-OUT on your receiver (only one of the ports if there are 2 sub pre-outs) INTO the subwoofer (either single LFE or usually the left channel of a "stereo" input, but might not matter. You can use a female to two male adapter for "stereo" but don't need it). ALSO make sure you are plugging into INPUT on the Sub. This cable is great and I recommend highly. Note that sometimes if the sub's power switch is set to "Auto" it might not wake up all the time depending on how the source material is decoded/encoded/lack of volume etc. Try taking the receiver end of the cable (with the other end plugged into the proper sub port) and just tap your thumb on the metal center conductor. You should get a thump out of the sub if it's working.

This cable is DIRECTIONAL which means you plug the arrow into the SUB and the reverse arrow side OUT of the receiver.

Question:can i use this cable for svs pb-4000 and pb-2000 subwoofers. i want to buy 2 cables.
Answer:I don't see why not. I use them with SB-2000s.

Question:Does the red marking go into the subwoofer and the white into the AVR?
Answer:no! the "both sides of the cable comes with white markings. if your AVR support LFE then you should connect - white to white...
if your AVR have white and red connections for SUBwoffer it means you can connect 2 SUbS - white for left and red for right.
the same gose about the SUB it self, for getting the LFE to work! you should connenct it to the white connection. usualy you will see LFE written on the white one, and this is how it should be connected.
