Fantastic
Needed to childproof our living room tv stand. The sliding cabinet doors blocked my audio receiver and tv box from the tv remote view, but our little guy learned to open the doors and we wanted to avoid pinched fingers or equipment pulled out on top of him. Mounted one repeater light inside, installed the child safety on the door and put the sensor up by the tv. Everything works flawless and his hidden and safe now. To be perfectly honest, the control seems to work better now so I suspect that either the repeater throws a brighter ir blast, or is more sensitive to receiving the original because you used to have to aim just right and now it seems to work no matter what. Would purchase this again if the need arises!

Easy to install and works better than the cheaper options.
I've been working on a 16'x16'x10' custom screened patio with home theater sound. The TCL TV is wall mounted about 7' up, and the Onkyo AV receiver and Samsung DVD player are located in a closet structure behind a set of wooden barn doors. I started with a cheaper model:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N674PE9/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
When installed it had a range of less than 10'. No good on a large patio. I hooked this little guy up in LITERALLY less than a minute - albeit by running the cables openly. I also opted to replace the manufacturer-supplied adhesive mounting tape with small dabs of hot melt glue based on some other 'how to' reviews I had read online. This unit picks up the AV signals from anywhere on the patio. It also picks up reflected signals so even if you're not line-of-sight to the receiving unit you can point the remote at the opposite wall, and the reflected signal is received. This unit cost a little more than the first try, but it exceeds the performance in every way.
In the pics you can see the receiver mounted under one of my wall speakers, the control unit mounted to the closet wall, and teh repeated glued to the front of the receivers.

Longer cables for hidden equipment installation
My old remote extender stopped working. The TNP IR extender was an easy install and works perfectly. The 10' cables were important to me because the cable box, blue ray and receiver are located in a closet behind the bedroom wall where the TV Is mounted and the shorter 6 or 8 for cables on many other units would have been too short.

Worked first time no problem….
Placed a new Tv on the wall and wanted all the wires behind the wall so I got this repeater hidden infra red system.
It was easy to install and the response time is fast. Perfect…I highly recommend.
I just followed the instructions….would buy again.

Easy Install - Works great in a complex environment!
Still working very well after almost a year in use. Their seem to be many nearly identical items on the market. This was easy to setup and use.
I am using this with a Logitech Harmony remote as the IR Source with a direct connection. I use IR emitters and IR blaster and direct connect to my Denon components as well. I also have extended using Cat5 cable to some remote areas for a projector and remote TV and it works great. Additionally I back-feed a Niles unit have in another part of the house so that I can have my Harmony control multiple zones.
While it does not feel like the same quality as the Niles equipment I have in another area, it is a great value and works fine for me.

Great price & product
I bought one of these about 8 years ago. After being on constantly since then (I'd never been able to come up with a good way to get it into some kind of switched setup), it died about 2 weeks ago. I love the feedback it provides with the blue lights to tell you its getting a signal, it's how I discovered that my first one had died, when it stopped doing that. Being relatively pleased with it, I ordered it again. This time it was even easier to install, since I just reused the setup I'd previously created. A plus for me was that I was able to reuse one of the blasters, which gave me even better coverage than I had with just the 2 that come with it. I hope they never stop manufacturing this unit. :-)

Works as expected.
Works as expected. Easy to connect. Had another brand (although it looks identical other than the name) for 4 years and it started getting funky and recognizing remote's signal only intermittently. Replaced it with this new one and back to working fine again. Apparently some of the components can degrade over time. But an easy $25 fix...

Great Product
Worked great. And you can stick the emitters on the shelf or in the cabinet without worrying about the emitters when you move around the cable box or DVD player. You don't have to stick the emitters on the device being controlled.

Works great
Worked great. Hassle free installation. I purchased a 25 ft 3.5mm male to male extension cable to extend the eye from my basement to my kitchen.

Thanks you
Package arrived on time. Installed the same day and worked perfectly. It's a no brainer you can't go wrong with the price. My cable box is in the crawl space and my tv is up stairs works like the STB box is in front of the tv.
Question & Answer
Question :
My receiver has a jack on the back for an IR in. Can i plug the output of the extender directly into this jack?
Answer :
The receiver IR jack in back of our device is designed for convenience. Allowing a user to have our extender concealed for aesthetics, but full capabilities still accessible.
Question :
I have run out of the sticky dots to attach the IR emitter to my components ... what can I substitute? or buy ?
Answer :
A hot glue gun will work. Actually seems to
Hold better.
Question :
It is suitable for 220V also?
Answer :
no its not
Question :
are the emitters supposed to blink when you press a button on the remote? I connected other systems and all of the emitters & receiver blink together
Answer :
Yes they the emitters flash to show that they're functioning. Other companies make non flashing emitter that you can use. I perfer the flashing type so i know emiiters are functioning.
Question :
When verizon installed fios - they cut my ir receiver cable by mistake. will any ir receiver work? an alternate one i have does not work...
Answer :
Look on the ir receiver plug if it has one strip or 2. The new ir receiver has to match. Also you can strip the wires on the damaged unit and reconnect them color for color and it should work fine. I've fix them that way before.
Question :
Does it work with marantz receiver 7007
Answer :
It should if the remote that comes with the Marantz runs on Infra Red. But to be 100% sure you should check the frequency of the Infra Red codes that the remote sends to make sure it is compatible with the Repeater though (ie, the repeater is able to reproduce them). You might have to go in an Audio/Video guru blog, contact the manufacturers, or look at the user manuals on each. Worse case scenario you could buy it and return if it does not work.
Question :
Does anyone know if they sell the ir emitter cables independently? my sensor got broken into pieces and i can't find the ir emitter cable/sensor
Answer :
Sure.. For ir receiver just enter this in the amazon search window - B00255GURK
For ir emitters just enter this in the amazon search window - B00255NW12
Question :
what is the length of IR receiver eye?
Answer :
Very roughly about 1 1/2 inches.
Question :
Will this work with a Harmony Hub?
Answer :
Theoretically, yes. However making the two talk is more difficult than one would think. The harmony Hub uses a 2.5mm IR connection (at least on the version I have), and the IR repeater system gives you 3.5 mm connections. One would think you could simply get 3.5mm to 2.5 mm adapter, but no. In order to make it pass the IR signal correctly, you need a stereo 3.5 mm male to make cable with a mono 3.5mm to 2.5mm adapter plugged into the hub.
Hopefully this information will save someone some trouble.
Question :
I am replacing a proficient ir router....can i just plug the cables from that unit into yours? or do i have to rerun your cables through the wall?
Answer :
Ir emmiters should be no problem. Ir reciever should work but not sure if the proficient ir receiver has 2 or 3 bands on the mjni plug. 3 bands might effect how it works but not completely sure
