Nicely made

Pretty good quality here. I bought this on a whim. I really didn't need it but I thought what the heck, I have a mix of NMO and PL-259 dual banders, let me have this adapter. The price was reasonable IMO. When it came I was impressed with the machine work and plating job. I'd buy another one. N3RRB

Buy one, good product! Well made brand

Don't be stuck with a nmo mount only, converts to uhf mount any nmo mount, and strongly! Maybe stronger than a uhf only mount. Use one on every mag mount I own so I can use on both style antennas.

Just what I needed!

I bought a mag-mount for an antenna I had but then discovered I got the wrong type! I bought an NMO not realising it was the wrong one. When I found this adapter, NMO to UHF (S)-239) I knew I had to get it. Look at the photo and you will see the silver device between the mag-mount and the Comet dual band antenna. The SWR is low and the antenna works great!

Excellent fit for mount and antenna - looks great

This adapter is perfect. It fits perfectly on my NMO magmount and my Diamond antenna fits perfectly on the adapter. What's great is there appears to be minimal loss and the SWR is perfect.

Question & Answer

Question :

will this work with uhf male pl-259 connector?

Answer :

Yes, it will connect with either a PL-259 and cable, or antenna with the same type configuration (Male UHF). I use one as a handy test setup.

Question :

Would this adapter allow me to attach a willson 5000 (after being taken off of mag mount) to a tram 1465 mobile nmo to base converaion kit?

Answer :

Technically it will fit, but 1465 is designed for use with UHF and VHF antennas, not with CB antennas.

Question :

I have a Jeep Wrangler. Is their a 2 meter antenna for this vehicle?

Answer :

Yes. However, depending on the top, one of many types of mounts may need to be considered.
I have a 3 magnet mount on my Grand Cherokee and it works well.

Question :

I have a diamond nr72b right now mounted on my truck will this allow me to mount a diamond original nr770hb 144/440 mhz dual-band mobile antenna?

Answer :

I used this adapter on a Diamond NR770RB and it works perfectly. From what I can tell the NR770HB is just a newer version of the same antenna but it has the little spring coil in the middle rather than the black plastic coil used by the NR770RB. It looks like they both use the same UHF
style connector.

Question :

Can I mount this in a tool box with a hole thru

Answer :

I guess you could if the tool box was heavy enough. You would need two holes. One for the antenna, and one for the cable, unless the radio was in your tool box.

Question :

Im converting my stock fm antenna to a cb antenna. Is this the correct adapter?

Answer :

Nay. The stock antennas in most automobiles are connected to the radios via 100 ohm coax. CB requires 50 ohm.

Question :

Does this have a rubber O-Ring in a grooved bottom?

Answer :

Yes it does

Question :

can you use this to connect your mobile antenna to an ht

Answer :

It varies with the make and model of the HT radio you have. NMO connections are most often used for one type of mobile antenna. Hope ths helps. 73 WA7CEB

Question :

Is this stainless steel, or is it plated?

Answer :

The Tram 1296 NMO to UHF (SO239) is Chrome Plated.

Question :

I have a truck mount that has What looks like it's 3/8" 24 socket for a threaded antenna. Is this the adapter I need for mo pl259 antenna?

Answer :

No. This doesn't appear to be the adapter you need. Although the top half will accept a pl259 antenna, the bottom half is for an NMO antenna mount. This is much larger than 3/8 of an inch. 24mm socket? I haven't seen an NMO mount that's installed that way.
