Question: | Does this convert pl259 antenna mount to nmo mount? |
Answer: | The nmo is how the anntenna attaches to the outside end. The pl 259 is the end that attaches to the radio connection. The picture appears to be pre-wired to annenna nmo and does not have a pl 259 connection to the bottom of the mount. Answer: | It depends on an operating frequency. Basically RG58A/U can handle a kilowatt on HF, into a matched load.
If you run SSB-CW-PSK31, you should be in good shape unless you're transmitting into a real mismatch. For RTTY, you'd better go for a thicker cable. |
