Just what I needed to hold AC adapter inline boxes in a cable management setup.

Easy to install. Makes under-desk cable management a breeze. I used these to hold the big adapter blocks for items in my office that have them in my floating desk setup. 10/10 would buy again.

It does what it does

It’s not the best looking the way I did it of course you can’t see it other than below waste level but it look a lot better than hanging wires. The box says it’s so easy to install, a kid could do it. While yes, it is easy, it is not that simple. You need to make sure BEFORE you buy that you are okay with drilling screws into your desk!! I’m sure if you had edges you could easily fasten this with zip ties. The screws that came with it suck so don’t bother. Just go to Home Depot or Lowe’s or a hardware store and get proper wood screws. Other than that, it does what it’s supposed to do and I have no complaints.

Super easy and solved my wiring nest issues

My previous desk had a wiring solution, you flipped up the back and there was a built in desk. It didn't work that well since every time I wanted to access it I had to move my monitor, speakers, VR sensors, external drives and PC tower (which would not fit underneath due to above mentioned box.

So when I got a new desk I bought a basic desk and ordered this cable organizer.

It took me about 10 mins to attach both trays and I then patiently sat and connected everything up. Each cable is pretty much separately routed in case I need to switch something out. Extra sockets are easily accessible and overall I am delighted with the purchase. I was so happy I bought another one and installed under my wife's desk!

Beyond Impressed

This was an item that I flip-flopped on and changed my mind about buying more than a dozen times over the course of a few weeks.
"It's just heavy duty chicken wire coated in some rubber," I told myself.
"Why would I spend my money on such a product?" I began to ask myself as I questioned my spending habits.

In the end I bought them with the promise to myself that if they really did not live up to my expectations I would simply return them for a refund.

I was wrong. So wrong. Dead wrong.

I should have bought these years and years ago. The day they came on the market.

These "rubber coated bent chicken wire things" as I thought they were are the best desk cable management products I have ever purchased. I went from having 26 wires coming off of my desk, leading to speakers, plugs, various splitters and a mixer, two monitors and peripherals, a router, an ethernet switch, computers, an xbox, and two power strips, down to just 3. That's right. I have 3 wires coming off of my desk now. 2 Surge protectors leading to an outlet and the cable that leads to my desktop speakers subwoofer on the floor (totally optional).

Everything is hidden neatly away under my desk. These installed within minutes, held on real tight to an MDF/particle-board desk, and the way they hold cables and allow for routing of wires is perfect. There are numerous different positions you could mount these in based on your needs, and the way the wires can feed through them with ease is wonderful. The spacing between the metal wires in the tray are perfect. The box they ship in doubles as a template/guide for mounting the screws/drilling pilot holes, which is quite genius.

These cable management trays are something I will now use on every desk I own. They are a fantastic product and well worth the money. I highly recommend these.

This worked great for me.

I put up a befoe and after picture. A lot of the improvement comes from the 12 outlet power strip I mounted on the computer desk, but the ability to put small power adapters and route video, eithernet and USB cables in the tray sure helped get things off the floor. One concern I had was that the comuter desk has a glass top, so I was thinking I would have to use C clamps or something to mount the cable tray. As it turned out for this particular desk, the mounting edge just fit between the perferated metal part of the desk and the glass top. No screws were used in this case. I did later add 4 wire ties to insure that it couldn’t slide off, but it probably wasn’t necessary. The second set that I purchased also is going to go on a glass top computer desk doesn’t have the same fortunate mounting match.

Well made under desk cable management solution for a very fair price

Works very well. Comes with 5 screws and 5 washers for each rack. The screws are not self tapping in my laminated wood top. I had to drill small pilot holes with a power drill to get things started. Once installed, the racks are very sturdy. They are not going anywhere. Holds my 8 outlet Tripp Lite surge protector (fairly heavy), plus all of the loose cables. Gives me a clean and organized look. The access opening is large enough for me to plug power cords into the surge protector without much issues. The supplied washers are just icing on the cake. My table top is 3/4 inch thick, and the screws did not go through. Perfect! Thank you.

Too be honest, doesn't feel necessary, but does clean up cables.

Takes A LOT of work to set up, plan where the racks will go, mark it, drill holes while laying on the floor lol, align the racks, screw in the nails, nudge it if needed to line up with the holes. It actually helped me organize my wires though because I had to unplug them all then plan where to link them through. Trying to tie the extension cord (like in the product picture) while upside down, then dealing with it move around as you adjust it was a lil annoying. I think it would have been a very good bonus if they made the holes in the grid big enough so you could just have the extension cord actually sit in the shelf, then the plugs plug through the holes, like in another review, they snapped off some of the grid to make space for this.

Wish there was an easier way to install this, maybe some kind of screw-free alternative. The wood on my desk chipped on one of the nails, I guess I went too fast, but be careful, can't really repair that part of the desk. also don't like that the nails aren't flush with the grid, but of course, that's impossible with the way they planned how to attach it to the desk. But it still works I guess.

A decent way to set up your wires if you have the space behind your desk and the time to set it up. They're huge too lmao! My wires aren't that big, but I welcome the extra space. Very good thing that it doesn't take up much width, my desk is pretty small, so I was afraid I'd have no room, but it took up just enough for the nails (since its only attached on one side, you can kinda choose how far off the edge you want it.) Luckily I also have like a two level desk, where there's a shelf on top, but also extends the desk too so you have to put it farther from the wall, and the shelves worked well with that since there was already a gap of space there. Get these if you want two big wire shelves that you have the space for behind your desk, not the best attachment design though.

Great for cable management underneath desk

Recently I have upgraded my home office desk by putting my desk top on TOPSKY standing desk legs. My original desk had wooden (MDF) panels at three sides of the desk. I used to hide all the messy cables hanging, sticking on those sides. Now with the standing desk legs everything is exposed! What I have done is to use this under desk cable management tray. Great thing about this is so light and sturdy at the same time and nice design to hold everything I have thrown into them including heaving power converters and chargers. One thing I noticed I'd like to praise about is that the product has the template of the holes on the box and install instruction and examples printed on the box! No separate pieces of papers wasted! BTW, for those who are looking for affordable standing desk, check TOPSKY. I purchased it at $200 back in Nov 2020. I love it!

This organizer is awesome and plan on buying again for other purposes.

This organizer is awesome! I've bought other cable holders and organizers, but this organizer is exactly what I was looking for and more. The material it is made from is Solid as well. With all the screws they provide and locations on the organizer the screws can mount to it makes it Very sturdy. It can be mounted in many different positions as well. I had in mind how I was going to mount the tray under my desk, but when I got it, I realized my keyboard tray was going to get in the way. No problem, I just changed the position of the organizer. I have cables and 3 devise battery packs on it with no problem at all. I'm starting to think of ways I can use this organizer in other areas of my house to hold things. There is also a mounting template you can cut out on the box it was delivered in to easy drill holes were you want to mount it. This product exceeded my expectations (Not many products I buy I can say that to) and plan on buying again and would definitely recommend it to others.

Very effective power cord management

I used these under a hardwood pedestal desktop that is 6 feet long. They were pretty easy to install. I used a long Phillips screwdriver to start the included screws into pilot holes that I had previously drilled. I then used a long bit in my drill to drive the screws in the rest of the way. The resulting, installed trays are very sturdy. I used one tray to hold the power brick for my computer and the 120 volt power strip. The wire trays allow air to circulate around the brick to cool it during use. I used the other tray to hold all the desktop power cords after bundling them with tie wraps. I just ordered two more trays to duplicate my setup under my wife's identical desktop. These trays are just what I needed!

Question & Answer

Question :

What size drillbit do I need for the screws?

Answer :

The instructions on the box indicate that if you want to pre-drill holes you should use a 3/32" or 2.5mm bit.

Question :

I have a desk that is exactly 3/4" thick. i will need washers. what type of washer(s) that i should buy? thickness? inner radius? outer radius?

Answer :

Hi Israel J, thank you very much for this important question about Cable Tray. The length of the screw is 0.77 inches (19.5mm), into the table top goes 0.67 inches (17mm). If you want to be sure and to add washers, then we recommend washers with measures are: inner radius 0.20 inches (5mm), outer radius 0.39 (10mm), thickness ~ 0.08 inches (2mm). I really do hope my answer helped you out. If you have any more questions, comments, or concerns, please feel welcome to reach back out as we would be happy to assist.
Warmest greetings,
Joonas, The Scandinavian Hub

Question :

What length of screw goes into the desk surface? my ikea desk is only about a half inch thick....

Answer :

Mine is 3/4 of an inch thick and there was no problem. You lose about 1/4 of an inch in screw length due to the thickness of the wire bracket. You could also add a washer to remove screw length. The biggest issue is that IKEA uses a pressed board that has less strength than wood.

Question :

Are the screws removable? I plan to attach this on a table but would like the option to remove it from there afterwards.

Answer :

Yes, removable. Can install as many screws as needed in multiple places, that was handy for placement.

Question :

How tall is the tray? I gather that it is 3 inches deep.

Answer :

Hello dear customer. Thank you for showing interest on this cable tray. The height of the tray is approximately 4.3" (11cm).

Question :

I am in California, and amazon says "This item requires special handling and cannot be shipped to your selected location." Why is that?

Answer :

Hey Robert,
Thank you for your interest in our Cable Management Trays!
As I have not met this kind of requirement in Amazon ever before, I investigated this a bit. And what I got to know is that it seems to be a glitch. Our products are not listed as Hazmat (Hazardous Materials), so this cannot be a valid restriction in this case. We also can see orders made in California for the same product and have not heard of any kind of problem.
Due to the fact, there has been no order made by you before, this is the only version you can contact us in Amazon. So thank you for finding a way to write us!
What I would recommend you to do now is to take some time and try ordering again. If this case occurs once again, please write to Amazon Customer Support directly and ask for an explanation why you cannot order our products in California.
I hope I managed to help you out.
Best of luck and I keep my fingers crossed for you
Kristi from the Scandinavian Hub

Question :

Can a wide surge protector be attached using the straps to hang beneath?

Answer :

A wide surge protector can be added..the straps that came with mine would not work, are more for single width stips...I installed mine with long zip ties. Worked great..
Installed it on bottom of basket facing down..leaves room inside for cables and anything else..also makes plugging in things easier.

Question :

Is this compatible with ikea bekant desk?

Answer :

It can be screwed into any wood-type desk. Just be careful to use washers if it’s a thin material so as not to go all the way through the top.

I installed mine on both a standing desk from Amazon (similar to the bekant) and also a cheap particleboard desk from Walmart in my kids room.

Question :

Do the screws with particleboard desk?

Answer :

Yes the screws would work with a particle board desk but you need to double check the length and I got some washers for under the screw head.

Question :

would this fit a power strip with the dimensions 12.6 *3.54*1.42 inches?

Answer :

Hi dear customer,
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about our product.
Yes, I assume it would fit the power strip with your given dimensions either by placing inside the tray or beneath using some cable ties.
I hope I answered your question. Don’t hesitate to write us should you have further concern. Have a great day!

Best,
Glenn from Scandinavian Hub
