JSAUX cable vs Amazon Basics cable, No camparison on quality!
I bought this JSAUX DP Cable to replace an Amazon Basics DP cable that developed a short after about 6 mouths routed through my monitor arm's built in cable management. This was not in an extremely hard use case, it was never kinked, the tightest bend was about 3 inches. It developed a short just from being rotated with the monitor arm a couple times a day for 6 months.
I cannot believe that the 2 cables are going for about the same price, there is no comparison in build quality. The JSAUX looks a feels like it should be twice the price of the Amazon brand one. The JSAUX has a braided sheath, the cable is much thicker and heavier feeling, the cable ends have good bend reinforcement and the ends are metal. Overall the look and feel of the JSAUX is an order of magnitude better then the Amazon one. I cannot attest to the durability of the JSAUX cable yet as I have only been using it for a couple of days, but expect that it will last much longer. I will update this review if the JSAUX develops any problems.
As for functionality both of the cables work perfectly fine at 1440p 120hz, so the amazon cable would be fine for runs that do not get moved around much, but at about the same price, get the JSAUX cable. I would not recommend the Amazon cable unless it drops to like $8.

The cable appears to be durable. I can't attest to the quality of what is inside of the cable, the part that is responsible for making the cable function, the wires. My installation will not likely test the quality of that though, since it is going to be subject to minimal flexing that would make inferior quality wiring fail. I am only considering that the likely most expensive material in any wire is the metal conductive material used for the wires and that there has been the modern trend to make wires extremely thin. The cheaper external materials can be well made to cover a multitude of sins.

So I bought this as a replacement for the insultingly short cord that came with my monitor and wanted something durable and longer to reach my tower which is a few feet away from the desk I sit at. It works great and has continued to do so, and it doesn't have those shitty push button clips on it that most DP cords have that make it borderline impossible to remove without hurting your hand. That said, I learned there is a bit of a reason for them so it's a trade off, and that's to ensure the connection is nice and firm. Otherwise, a small bump to the port it's connected to, or moving the cord slightly while plugged in will make the display flicker like it lost connection, not a big deal if you never go into your computer or fuss with cables, but can be frustrating when you have to walk by it and it catches on your foot or something, but other than that works flawlessly, I may spring for an even longer one from the same brand if I need it someday.

While I am not familiar with the hardware you are connecting this cable to, this is not a definitive answer. First, check that your monitor is set up to actually scan for the active input port when powering on. With some. you can set it as the default. The Source Device end can be another story. On some computer equipment, you must make certain that Thunderbolt port capability is enabled in BIOS/CMOS setup. Also the OS video controls should be enabled an the drivers present.
The most common solution I heard/read to the 'net has ben to power EVERYTHIND down and disconnect it from all AC power for a while. (I've even heard a ludicrous suggestion of 24 hours.) After that time, Power up your monitor and then the computer/game device. Theoretically, they should start communicating with each other.
if not, call your computer tech support. They can help you resolve the issue. In any case,. The last thing I would blame it the cable. - pope this helps...

I'm running a gaming LG Ultragear 32" 1920x1080 with a refresh rate of 165Hz and the cable couldn't handle it. I ordered it because I needed the extra length, but that may be part of the issue. After about an hour of use with this new cable, the monitor started pixilating and then went black. I put my original DP cable back and everything was fine. I don't recommend this product if you're running higher performance gaming components.
