Everything you need to know
Very comfortable, crystal clear headset, with an amazing range. I can leave my office and walk across the street and I still have an unterrupted signal. The hardest part about buying a wireless headset is that you need to have a complete system that is compatible, otherwise you will have issues. I purchased this headset, the Leitner Lifter, and the Cortelco 2720 phone (analog phone). This combo allows me to answer and end calls through my headset.
Important notes about the headset:
- You cannot Flash or Hold with this headset (or any wireless headset, to the best of my knowledge). Instead, you will need to flash and hold from your desk phone.
- This headset has a mute button at the top, the mute button is small and not easy to locate, and gives no audio indication that the mute button was successfully pressed.
- You can wear this headset on either the left or right ear, because the microphone will swivel around 270 degrees
- This is the ONLY wireless headset with a 5 year warranty. You pay a premium for this, but, with my history of failing headsets, this is money well spent.
- You can still use your corded desk phone that this headset is attached to, simply pick up the phone
- Setup takes only a few minutes and is pretty easy if you use the instructions

The Perfect Office Headset
I love this headset. My house is oddly shaped and my cell reception is absolutely terrible with tons of dead spots in the house. So the main reason for getting the headset was that I wanted to start using VOIP so I could take phone calls without being tethered to my PC with a 6ft cord.
I was simply stunned at the mobility I have with the Leitner, I can go into the yard and throw the dog's frisbee or walk upstairs and cook. This headset has really changed my work-at-home life, I never take calls at the PC anymore. I've recorded my voice and the audio quality through the mic doesn't compete with my wired gaming headset, but it's perfectly intelligible.
The only thing that could improve IMO is a better confirmation that your MUTE button is indeed on... because wandering into the bathroom during conference calls is simply a fact of life when working from home.

This is what all headsets need to model after.
I'm an IT Manager for a mid-size company out of Boise. We have changed over to a new IP phone system that integrates hard phones and softphones on the same DID (phone number). We are using a lot of makes and models of headsets, and the Leitner has quickly become the one my end-users request. It has more functionality and integration to the hard and softphones.
I came across this looking for something that would integrate with our Yealink hard phone and softphone program. This headset allows you to jump between taking calls on the PC (softphone) and hard phone with a quick press of the button on the base. The Leitner is a very comfortable headset if you have to wear it for prolonged periods of time. Unlike a lot of other headsets, we use the Leitner positions most of the weight closer to your head/behind your ear vs. hanging directly off the ear canal. The base is also compact and has an easy to read layout.
Now the 5yr warranty, support number in the box that you get a live person that is an expert on the headset and supporting it to the phone model your trying to pair it with is also a big thumbs up.

Excellent Headset - Recommended!
Returned a bluetooth headset for this DECT Leitner LH270. I am extremely glad that I decided to go this route. This headset is very light-weight and has amazing range. I primarily use the headset for Skype for Business calls. I tend to pace while on calls. I can pace from my basement office, all the way to my mailbox next to the road and back - with no interference. If I had to guess, the distance is every bit of 250-300 feet away. (I could barely go 10 feet away with my bluetooth headset) Although this particular headset is priced almost $100 more than the bluetooth headset that I returned, it is worth it to me. Spend the extra amount and buy a DECT headset. There is absolutely no comparison. Definitely recommended.

The best wireless Headset I have used in my 9 Years of working from home.
I have been working from home for 9 years and I have used several different headsets over those years. I bought the Leitner headset last year when my old headset died. I love it and highly recommend this for anyone who needs a wireless headset. The quality and the ease of use is amazing.
I use the Leitner headset to connect to Microsoft Teams and any direct calls from my office phone. The quality of the calls is excellent, at least according to the meeting participants. In the last few months our company has transition to using Teams, so I spend 90% of my time using Teams for calls. Before this change I primarily used a standard phone for all my calls.
Pros:
1. I live in an old building and have chicken wire in my plaster walls, and previous headsets would cut out before I reached the “distance” I was supposed to get out of the headset. With the Leitner I can go farther into my apartment.
2. Sound quality is amazing.
3. Easy to switch between Computer and Land Line\Digital Line.
4. Batter Charges quickly.
5. Easy to understand the buttons on lights on the base.
6. Easy to setup.
7. The headset is so light, I forget I have it on after the call finished.
8. The headset has five-year warranty. I bought another brand before and the headset died within the year but was not under warranty. The headset costs as much as the Leitner.
9. Headsets.com customer service is tremendous. I had an problem with my headset recently and Headsets.com quickly helped me to resolve the issue. The tootsie rolls sent by headsets.com is a nice surprise.
Cons:
1. If you need more than 8 hrs of talk time, there is no easy way to charge another battery without purchasing another headset and base. Some days I need 12 hrs talk time on my headset. My old headset had an external battery and charger to swap as needed.
2. Cannot pair my cell phone to this headset, that would be ideal, so I don’t have to forward cell phone.
If your job requires you on calls either from your computer on standard phone line, this wireless headset is for you.

Best Headset I every used
I have been using wired Headsets.com units for years, mostly plugging into cordless phones and pacing the house our sitting at my desk, but the cords got old quick and I would wear out the connection jacks on the cordless phones. Main issue was I could not find a basic office cordless or wireless system that would work with the LH270 cordless. Well after much research I found the unit shown with my headset system which was the Panasonic KX-TG9542B 2 line system. You will also need the Female RJ9/RJ22 Headset to Male 2.5mm Plug Headset Adapter to make this work. Amazon item B06ZZ41WYP. They also make the Panasonic in a wired/cordless version the KX-TG9581B that you can get in one or 2 handsets. Love the almost unlimited range of the headset and no cords. Best investment I have made. Only regret is that I did not buy the new LH370. I know it was more and my cell phone was/ is always on my desk but with the new Panasonic unit the cell phone could connect via Bluetooth and I could answer it on the LH270. It works but it does not sound good. I disconnected my cell from the Panasonic Bluetooth system altogether because it was just bad. Maybe its too much with Bluetooth cell to base then to wireless headset on a different platform. I planned on this working but just not in the cards for my combination. That said, the LH370 would have been my first choice but since I now see the benefits to having this unit I am biting the bullet and getting one for my 2nd office and keeping the LH270 for my home office. Great items, great company and great service and support. Hope this helps some one.
BTW, the other major factor to choosing the Panasonic that I did was the silent feature. I needed it badly to keep the peace at the house. It works great but is does not distinguish lines. This means is it stops calls at 8 PM it stops all calls both lines. I will do a separate review on the Panasonic units.

BEST headset on the planet!
2 thumbs up!! This headset AND the company deserve all the wonderful accolades that others besides myself have given! First. The headset. Unfortunately, I am hard of hearing in both ears and using phones in our print shop is a tad difficult because of the background noise. But this headset is gift from the gods for me! I can hear clearly and with out straining or being embarrassed by asking the customer to repeat themselves. It is also very comfortable to wear and extremely easy to use. I set it up right out of the box and was using it within 5 minutes. How cool is that? I also wear hearing aids and the headset did not interfere with them in any capacity! I am thrilled with this headset! I was also contacted by Joe (the Tootsie Roll Man) who wanted to know how I liked the headset and if there was anything he could do for me... well. We discussed my phone (Cisco SPA508G) which had a headset button but no hardware path for my headset. Joe said he'd look into and get back to me. In less than 30 minutes he called me back and offered a solution of the "handset lifter" for me to try at NO CHARGE! Really? They just don't have companies like Leitner in today's world. I am so happy I purchased this headset from this company and highly recommend it to others without hesitation! I will be purchasing one for my boss next month but the other model as she doesn't want the dual ear muffs. Thanks Joe and Leitner! You ROCK!

All-Day Comfort, Excellent Battery Life, Easy to Setup and Use
TLDR: If you are debating which wireless headset you want for spending all day on conference calls and in virtual meetings, look no further. The Leitner OfficeAlly series is amazing.
More -
I bought the Leitner OfficeAlly LH270 Single Ear headset to facilitate my home office setup. I paid for the device from my personal funds, and was not compensated for this review.
I have worn a number of phone headsets over the past 20 years, and they were almost always either uncomfortable, or the microphone didn't work well, or the cord was difficult to manage, or some other annoyance. The LH270 has none of these failings.
First off, the device was easy to set up; I had it hooked up to my work laptop and my landline phone within 10 minutes of taking it out of the box. The instructions are clear, but almost unnecessary.
Next, the headset is comfortable, both the ear pad and the spring coil over my head. The spring coil is wrapped in some sort of plastic/rubber, so the metal coil can't scratch my scalp.
Call quality is great, both incoming (what I hear) and outgoing (what the other side hears). I have had excellent results using the device for Skype calls, WebEx and Teams conference meetings, and phone calls. I can walk from my office to the other side of my house to get a cup of coffee, go out into my backyard to yell at my dog, whatever, and the connection remains crystal clear. The on headset mute key is great, leave the virtual meeting unmuted on your computer, and just use the mute button on the headset. Mute does have an associated beep (so you know you are on mute), but it is pretty low-key (in my opinion).
I typically have the headset on for 8+ hours a day. In a day, I never see the battery life indicator drop below half charge.
I can't comment on the multi-device conferencing (bridging the landline call into a computer call), as I haven't used that function.
My only regret in purchasing the LH270 is that I realized I wanted the added Bluetooth functionality of the LH370. Even there, I am impressed. I contacted Leitner's customer support, and they sent me a postage paid RMA, and are sending my the LH370 for the difference in price between the two devices, even though I have used the LH270 for 3 months.

Great headset - would be perfect with minor changes!
I was looking to replace a 15-year old Plantronics headset because once we went to full video conference mode, people were making fun of me. 😀
I tried 6 different headsets (including 3 newer Plantronics models) and this was by far the best. My main needs were an over-ear model (vs. over the head), distance (I walk around a lot in my house while talking), ease of muting (for the same reason) and clarity of sound. This hits all four. My only 2 complaints are 1) it’s a little hard to put on, but once it’s on you’ll forget it’s there and 2) the mute function isn’t perfect... the mute button isn’t completely intuitive to find (as it’s between the volume buttons) and when you’re press it it doesn’t immediately let you know that your muted. It does give you a tone every 8 seconds or so, but when you first mute, it doesn’t beep until 8 seconds later. This seems like an easy design fix by Leitner (just add a beep upon muting), but even given that, this is still the best over the ear headset out there:..

Can't think of a single flaw - this is the one to have.
The headset is important for my job so I'm picky about it. It's important to realize that with any headset, depending on the phone you have, you might have to pick up the receiver off the cradle to use the headset then replace it at the end of the call. My phone has a headset jack, there are different kinds of headset jacks, and some phones have none. You can get different cords for this jack, tech support is excellent and will help even if they don't sell it they'll tell you who does (like in Miracle on 34th Street!) But assuming you've gotten to the point of using a headset, this is the one. I have bought and returned several for poor sound quality or difficulty to use or lack of features. This one has great range, great sound, and most importantly, without going into all the details, this one has a selection of signal tones, indicator lights and etc which make sure you are confident of what the headset is doing at all times (like you are SURE you're muted which can be really important) and have ample warning before there's any problem (like a low battery). It's the best one I can find and my search went a couple hundred dollars higher than this one costs. This is the one to have.

Question :
Want to get this headset! i don't have an office phone yet. which corded office phone would you suggest? we have cox digital phone service
Answer :
Great question!
Normally we want to to make sure the deskphone has a curly cord and multiple lines. You also want to make sure the headset jack is not 2.5mm and is instead an "RJ9" port. :)

Question :
Has anyone experienced hearing a low buzz in the background when using these headphones, and if so how can it be fixed?
Answer :
Yes, there is a slight buzzing/hiss/white noise. Is it bad, no - but at the $250 price point we should not have this issue. I received a replacement because I thought it was defective and although its less noticeable on the replacement device, it still slightly audible. Customer service is awesome, but I rather have poor customer service and a excellent device, but nothing is perfect. Again the hissing is not bad and if you have poor hearing you probably wont notice. Range and sound quality are excellent, but I wonder what my experience would've been with a cheaper device.
Question :
Will this work with the Avaya J179? Do you need a lifter to put calls on hold if away from desk?
Answer :
Hi Sandra,
Thanks for reaching out to us :)
You can definitely use the Leitner LH280 witha an Avaya J179 office phone. For remote answering you'll need a hookswitch cable. Here is a link to the cable that works for your telephone:

Question :
Will it work with a panasonic kx-tgea40?
Answer :
Hi Michael,
Thanks for contacting us.
The Leitner LH270 headset does not work with cordless home phones. It will only plug in to corded office telephones and computers. If you need a good headset for your cordless phone, we'd recommend the AT&T Marathon. This will plug into your telephone wall jack and work for hands-free calls. Thanks Michael! And please let us know if you have any other questions. We'll be happy to help!

Question :
Does this head set work with grandstream gxp2135? also does this headset require a handset lifter?
Answer :
Hi Cole,
Yes, this headset would work great with the Grandstream GXP2135 telephone. It would require a lifter if you want remote answering from the ear piece but the lifter is not compatible with this phone.
Without the lifter you could use the headset button on your Grandstream to answer and end calls for the headset. :)
Hope this was helpful!
