Easily add color to your lawn

Easy to use, glued to black plastic pipe fittings and placed over low voltage LED up lighting in yard. Used 2 layers to increase color saturation with green, red was fine with one layer. Now can be installed or removed in a few minutes total for all 11 lights. Plan to add additional colors for other Occasions/Holidays. We are very satisfied.

Sturdy Material

I used the material to cover shades I crafted to slip over my landscape light fixtures for the holiday season. The material is substantial but bends easily enough to accommodate curves on the surfaces you're applying it on. The protective coating is a plus and my material arrived without any damage to the sheets. I am very pleased with the material, especially as I had a bad experience with material I purchased last year (from another seller) that was as thin as tissue and did not hold up to the weather elements experienced where I live (snow, wind, ice).

Question & Answer

Question :

Will these adhere to recessed LED soffit lights?

Answer :

I think for your install you might need some type of adhesive, such as double side tape. The overlays won't adhere by themselves to the soffit lights.

Question :

are hey flexible to be placed over a convex lens?

Answer :

They are slightly flexible. I used them on a flat landscape light so I did not need to bend it. Sorry I cannot be more help.

Question :

Do you leave plastic film on when using over landscape led lights or peel it off?

Answer :

Laura, I peeled the plastic film off but if you desire you can leave it on, doesn't affect the color. I did notice the red is much more vivid than the green (a little pale) so you might want to double up the green overlays for more color.

Question :

are these heat resistant?

Answer :

I use these over LED lights but those lights are not really hot. I believe they are designed for photography use which are much hotter.

Question :

How do you attach the film to the landscape lighting so it doesn’t blow/fall off?

Answer :

I unscrewed the outer rim, used it to draw the right size circle to cut the film. Once cut I laid the film on the glass then screwed the outer rim back on. My lights are LED so I was not concerned about them getting too hot. It worked perfectly and I used them all holiday season without a problem.
