• Light Dome II has two ultra-soft diffuse layers, magic cloth and silk cloth. The combination of these materials transforms the hard COB light into a beautiful soft light that wraps the subject very evenly, making the Light Dome II the perfect accessory for portraits, interviews, documentaries, music videos and stories.
• The Light Dome II includes a studio grade fabric grid that allows you to narrow the angle of the light beam to 40 degrees.
• The 35-inch Light Dome II uses 16 rods to create a 32-point axis, llowing for a very round ray that is nearly a perfect circle. Combining this with the Aputure COB series or other compatible Bowens mount fixtures gives creatives an accurate circular rounded light that also acts as a catching light for talented eyes on the camera.
• Light Dome Generation 2 includes a carefully placed gel holder to maximize gel function while minimizing the amount of material required.

I really love this softbox because a lot of the other soft boxes out there and even the older Aputure soft box you have to rebuild it every single time and its really tough to do so. This version they made it very easy to assemble and disassemble. All you gotta do is pull on the wires and wait for it to click and then boom. you done.. so simple. And all you gotta do to disassemble is press the metal lugs that are holding the wires.
