Great monitor!
I love my Ninja V - not only is it super bright, but it has features that I love - like false color. Battery life is good and for the most part I have no real complaints. It can get a bit loud compared to other monitors, but its understandable because it also records. I wish it had SDI built in, but that would bump the cost up even more. I think the only feature that I would like to see one day is in an internal battery AND an external battery. That way if you want to go ultra light you can do for a couple hours and then switch to external/heavier when needed.

Amazing Product!!! VERY IMPORTANT TIP!!!!
First let me say that this is an amazing product! I have NO regrets investing in the Ninja V, it has put my Sony A7iii on steroids. Not only that but my work flow is so much better. I'm usually a gorilla style type of shooter so if you know, it is very important to be in complete focus and to be able to know what's going on when you're running and gunning. I haven't even tapped into all of the features yet but am excited to do so!
So now for the VERY IMPORTANT TIP. I found this out the hard way so hopefully this will help others to not make the same mistake I did.
I usually shoot 4k on my A7iii with a Crane 2, the Ninja V outputs fine with no issues at all, but when I shot in HD for slow motion, there was a major problem! Now I'm not sure if this is the case for other cameras but if you're shooting with a A7iii this is for you (I would still check for other cameras as well). When shooting HD and recording on the Ninja V, the Ninja will actually record the cameras Screne Meters into the footage you are shooting! This caused me to lose all the footage I shot for the day, thank God I was backup camera.
The FIX is this: go to Menu / Setup / HDMI Settings / HDMI Info Display and turn it OFF! I may be completely ignorant to this but I had no idea the Ninja V would have recorded the Screne Meters on HD only. Hope this helps someone!

Best Monitor For Indie Filmmaking
Let me tell you that the Atomos Ninja V is one of my best investments in filmmaking. This monitor is amazing, easy to use, accurate colors. On top of that, it record Pro Res and Pro Res RAW. I can now record high quality, high bit rate videos. It turned my EOS R into a baby C200.

Makes my A7iii that much better to shoot cinamatoc video!
This product has greatly increased the way I shoot on my Sony A7iii. It allows me to capture ProRes and use all the greatonitpring features such as zebra stripes, focus peaking, and using LUTs to preview my video. On top of that playing back footage on slowmo to ensure I got the shot is excellent! Well done atomos!

Faulty unit - Terrible customer service
I purchased one of these and did not use it right away. The only time I had it in the field, the HDMI input was intermittent showing “no input”. No matter what camera (a7r4, a7r2) or cable combination. I RMA’d it and Atomos service said they could not replicate the issue in an 8 hour “bench” test. A bench test does not account for movement on a mobile camera system. Very disappointed that I have to put energy into this. I expected to pay good money for a good product.

Touch letting go of the money but worth it once you use it.
I did so much research before buying. I wanted to be able to unlock the 10bit 4:2:2 on my camera and this is the lowest priced monitor that would do that. I didn’t want to spend the money but it was well worth it. It definitely makes filming much more enjoyable and the quality is fantastic.

Every bit as good as the Ninja Flame
I have a podcast. There is nothing in the world like recording hardware where if the world goes to heck, it keeps on ticking. It is smaller than the other Atomos devices and the firmware updates are contact, constantly evolving features that have only improved and not diminished.

Best monitor!
I use this monitor on 95% of my jobs. Records very well. Would not be without it for video work. I even occasionally use this as just a monitor for photography jobs. Great for clients to view shots as well.

Pretty awesome
After the update a few months back, this thing is awesome. Can’t imagine anything doing more, or as well. I questioned getting the bigger one for use one a gimbal, but this turned out to be perfect as it doesn’t get in the way.

You don't need a review if you know what you want.
It's an Atomos, look on YouTube for reviews if it suits your needs for you. The only question is if you want to spend the money because this is a fancy tool (or toy :)

Question & Answer
Question :
I already have samsung t5 ssd with me. so can i use the sansung t5 ssd for the external recording instead of evo 660 ? don't want to get a new ssd.
Answer :
The T5 is an EXTERNAL drive that is locked into a metal housing. You need a "raw" 2.5" SSD which can be placed into the Atomos "Drive Caddy" casing for insertion into the Ninja V. There is no USB-C connection to connect your T5.
Question :
What NP-F battery is recommended ?
Answer :
Any will work, but the larger the battery, the longer the run time, at the expense of added weight. The NP-F970 works well
Question :
what exactly is included in the box?
Answer :
The monitor and a charging cable .
Question :
Does ninja v work with canon xa50-4k camcorder ? thank you
Answer :
Hi, this model only record at 4k but you have to confirm if you can get hdmi 4k at hdmi out. please check the user manual for more info
Question :
Will I lose the camera's auto focus face tracking and auto focus eye tracking. I have a Sony.
Answer :
I have a Sony A7III. Record only to the Ninja V and not to the SD card. It will track heads and I think that is face tracking, which is good enough. I won't do eye-track.
Question :
I have a z7ii which does 4k60. This device says 4k60, but when I research, this should only do 4k30 max per the website? Please help.
Answer :
As I remember the z7ii is a not pregresive camera, so is 60i not 60p
Question :
can this turn non touch screen cameras into a touch screen and touch focus?
Answer :
No
Question :
Do I need to buy an sd card or does it already come with one?
Answer :
This requires an SSD hard drive, not an SD card
Question :
Will this work with my canon c100 mark ii?
Answer :
I can’t see any reason why it shouldn’t work with it since it has hdmi output
Question :
Does this come with a battery?
Answer :
No, but uses readily available Sony-compatible NP-Fxxx series batteries.
