Yes, no problem.

What size threads on set screw that holds ball in place? Referring to the set screw with round knob. Looking to replace with thumb screw or t-handle.

The thread is a 5/16-18, however, there is a custom cone point on the tip that works with the mechanism. Also, the current thumb screw does have a hex head on the top that can be used with an L key or T handle wrench?

How deep is the 1/4-20 stud hole? And how long is the 1/4-20 stud? I’m looking to replace the stud with a bolt.
Answer :
The stud (set screw that is on top is 5/8" long and sticks out the top about 1/4". So you have about 3/8 of 1/4-20 thread in the top of the ball if you would like to thread something in.

Does it include the cold shoe shown in one of the pictures?
Answer :
The product comes exactly as shown in the main image. There is a 1/4 stud at the top that will be attached to your camera or other accessories. No cold shoe is included.

How much weight can it sopport?

I was using it with a full size DSLR, including a remote. The issue isn't really the weight of the camera - this adapter is very solid. The issue is only whether the pole itself is stable. I was using a 12 ft pole for night skyline pics - at certain shutter speeds the pole wiggles enough to blur the picture.

Can the ball joint be loosened/tightened?
Answer :
Yes. Their is an allen nut on the side of the ball, it loosens well and tightens well. It was able to hold my DSLR with 55mm lens, at -45 degrees, at 20ft without a problem.

Yes, this will fit the screw-on version.

Can the painter's pole adapter be removed from the ball head (2 separate pieces)? If so, does the painter's pole adapter also have the 1/4-20 thread?

There are three pieces but they all must be used together. We also offer the basic Painter's Pole Adapter that does not have the ball head.

How is the ball held tightly where you want it? By friction only or is there a knob used to lock it in place like some other mini ball mounts?

There is a hex screw to tighten the ball in place and the unit comes with a hex wrench. We also have a thumb screw option on our site. Thanks
