Just what I was looking for!

Remote switch works great, it was just what I was looking for. Just wish the cord was a little bit longer.

For those of you who have wondered if this works with the Canon 200D it does. It's simple to use and doesn't take up a great deal of space in your bag. Focus and either shoot or slide the switch forward for longer exposures. Just a tip if you are unsure if this will work with your Canon camera just check the specification of the remote in the user manual for your camera as I did and it will tell you. Yes it may be a little bit more expensive than some others with more functions but it's the genuine Canon article and very simple to use so hopefully will last a long time.

This is a great little tool for shooting remotely with the EOS system of cameras. Works a treat on my 550D. Allows me to take photos on a tripod, or simply resting on some rigid support without causing camera shake. Will be a boon for night shooting. But, the plus is . . . . . . . . it allows me to trigger my Canon AE-1 Program via the Motordrive MA! I'd investigated getting the original remote 3 or 60 switch for this set up, but couldn't find any. I'd even Googled if the RS-60E3 would trigger the AE-1, but couldn't find anything. It has the same 2.5mm jack plug as the original RS3 or 60 so, as I had the 550D I thought, "Well if nothing else, it will aid my in taking long exposure shots at night, even astrophotography shots. But if it fires the AE-1 then I'd be a happy bunny." But it works damn fine with my AE-1 Program setup. I dare say then it ought to fire the A-1 too with the Motordrive MA fitted. Can't see why not.

Although I have an existing remote control that works with other cameras, it does not work with the above, came across a few forums suggesting that this would work and it does.

The official product is £49 and is apparently a tad fragile, this seems better and less than half the price of the official version :)

It was ordered on the 29th and arrived on the 30th, packaging was fine as it was already in a cardboard display box.

Purchased to use with my Fujifilm X-T1. I originally purchased the original Fujifilm remote, but due to the non angled micro usb plug, it's a right pain when using camera with an L Bracket. This canon remote is excellent it's plug is right angled and low profile, so reduces the hassle with the L Bracket. It's smaller, and the cord is supple and designed to be coiled around the remote. For me it's a massive improvement over the Fuji.

I had been looking for a remote/cable release to use with my 600d on a tripod shooting at night and in low light where I would need to use longer exposure times/bulb setting (for exposures over 30s). This replicates the function of the camera's shutter button, but eliminates/reduces camera shake caused by putting pressure on the shutter button and camera body itself. I was looking at the smaller wireless remotes (RC-06), but reviews of them stated that they only worked at the front of the camera. As I didn't buy one of those I can't compare or comment on that product, but felt that this item (RS60-E3) would be better suited to my needs. It has a slidealong locking mechanism surrounding the button, so you can lock the shutter open and leave it for the desired time. (The 600D also displays the time elapsed on the display screen when in Bulb setting, so you don't need a remote with a display for this) It also has grooves to wrap the cord around the remote and a wee socket to fit the plug end of the cord in it to keep it nice and tidy. It also seems to be made of reasonably sturdy plastic and looks as if it would withstand everyday bumps and knocks easily. Wasn't expecting a great deal from this simple piece of kit, which is, in effect a button with a cord attached, but I'm very satisfied with it, it's very well designed for its basic function and I'm sure I'll get a lot of use from it.

Got this for use mainly for tripod shooting moon, when i got it i simply rigged it up indoors on my lap and it worked! Can't say anymore except i have procrastinated on the moon thing, the canon SX60 HS is too easy hand held, but i intend to un-procrastinate for me EOS D1200............i hope...HEE,simply put it works as an easy device i found

This does what it says it will do and works just fine on my Canon M6 mkii.

That's pretty much it really. No surprises, no hidden nasties. If I'm being picky I could say that the wire might be a bit thicker, a bit more robust, but it's perfectly fine as it is.

So does the job I wanted it to do, delivered quickly too. Job's a good 'un.
