Radar approved!
I ordered it to work with my Canon M50 and it worked perfectly to allow me to use my DSLR lenses with the small mirror less camera. Worked as it should with no issues.

Having both a Canon M10 Mirrorless camera as well as a full-frame Canon 1D X Mark II, I hated that I had so many professional lenses that would not fit on the M10. But, with this mount I am able to use all of my EF lenses and have their full functionality intact! Auto focus and stabilization are fully-functional. I love it!

Very good Autofocus and stabilization with EFS galss.
Quite impressed. I bought a similar product for about the same cost to use my Cannon glass on a Sony a6000. That adaptor worked fine but it was basically manual focus. Very slow if any auto focus.
This Canon adaptor for use with my Canon M3 is totally different. I have used it with the 24, 40, 50, 75-300, 55-250, 18-135, and a Tamron 16-300. All of the Canon glass used stabilization, and auto focus almost as quickly as the native M lenses. The photos were sharp and clear as well. Only the Tamron had auto focus issues, but stabilization worked, and manual focus was fine.
This worked much better than the past adaptors I have used, and allows the whole glass collection to be used with the M3.
Update - works even better with the M5

Works excellent
I don’t know if anybody saw my review earlier but I had bought another brand.. when I put that other brand on my camera it was pretty loose and I was really worried about it working itself over the uses of it so I took that one back and I bought this one and I must say this one here works excellent!!!

Nice, But Heavy
Purchased the Canon M6 and wanted to use my existing EF lenses. However, I found that the added weight was a bit too much for me. I wanted to lighten the load for travel and with the adapter and zoom lens, it was too heavy for me to carry around. Nothing wrong with the adapter and a good deal.

Snug Fit. Solid Feel. Great Pictures
This holds my EF/EF-S lenses on my EOS M5 perfectly. All the fits feel snug and all functionality is retained as if there was nothing there. Don't skimp on cheaper products. Get the official Canon adapter.

Extremely useful for fisheye lens without ef-metal connectivity
EF - Lens adapter perfect for wide angle and other type of lenses cheaper than the viltrox, and better to use since it is from Taiwan and made in japan i rather buy japanese and taiwanese products and support them since their quality is greater than Chinese, i support it since they actually are more detailed on the manufacturer and the way they actually do the diagrams and cuts are precise but i know the quality is even stronger and more durable than chinese cheap brands. Love japanese quality and brands.

Perfect addition for low-budget m-series photographers.
This mount enables the use of Canon EF-S mount lenses on Canon EF-M mount bodies. Simply put, you can buy cheaper variations of most lenses, instead of being forced into purchasing the much more expensive Canon EF-M lenses.
Works exactly as intended, absolutely perfect for mounting my Canon EF-S 55-250mm F4-5.6 IS STM, without restricting any image focus, image stabilization, zoom, aperture, or shutter functionality.

Solid mount...another tool for the tool kit!
I purchased this adapter along with the EOS M camera kit to use with my EF and EF-S lenses. After less than a week, I have been able to try out with the EF 50mm F1.4, EF 70-300mm L, EF-S 17-85mm, and EF-S 60mm lenses. The adapter fits perfectly. Same form and fit as the Canon extenders I have. The EOS M is of course made very tiny with any large EF lens. It creates a sort of 'pocket Rebel'. Of course, once you mate with the larger lens, this is no longer going to fit in anything less than a massive coat pocket. The combination of camera, adapter, and lens seems comfortable after brief handling. The EF 50mm was a very comfortable combination, the adapter does not add a very large amount to the overall combination. The upside to this adapter is if you already have a variety of EF and/or EF-S lenses. The image quality of the JPEGs, right out of the camera ranged from expected to stunning (the latter results obtainable with off camera studio flash strobe and soft box). The adapter was immediately a huge part of the EOS M camera purchase. I highly recommend it if you have other lenses. Again, the results I got with the EF-S 60mm macro (and studio lighting) were stunning. It transformed the camera from curiosity to studio prime. No problem using manual mode and Pocket Wizard. Include this adapter in your purchase and you won't be looking back.

Works Perfectly!
This adapter works great and is was also a great price! I was very disapointed when I bought and off brand adapter for my Canon M50 and it lock. Which made the lenses easily fall off. For that reason I returned that adapter and bought this one and I am very happy with it. It locks in place like it should!!

Question & Answer
Question :
will I loose image quality from my lenses using this adapter?
Answer :
There is no lens in the adapter so no change in image quality. The adapter just moves the EF or EF-S lens out from the sensor to achieve proper focus. Mine works great with the 100mm macro lens!
Question :
Does the adapter affect focal length since it adds length, similar to a lens extender?
Answer :
This adapter does not affect focal length. This adapter simply allows EF and EF-S lenses to be used on the EOS M lens mount. The length of this adapter puts the lens the same distance away from the camera's image sensor as on a full DSLR camera (like a T4i, 60D, etc.).
Question :
Is there an adapter the other way around: a mirrorless cam lens to a dslr camera?
Answer :
Not without an adapter with a glass element in it. The glass element could seriously distort and/or lower the lens's sharpness.
Question :
How much does this canon adapter weigh?
Answer :
It weighs 6.5 ounces. I put it on a scale.
Question :
my grandfather gave me an old lens (soligor 85-205 for AE1) that I want to put on EOS Rebel T5i. Does this adapter work?
Answer :
No it will not work. Try looking for Canon EF mount to FD.
Question :
Does this come with some sort of case or bag or anything along those lines?
Answer :
Not that I recall. Might come in a cardboard box. It just went straight into a slot in my camera bag.
Question :
Is the fully functional with the canon m50 and all its automatic settings when i hook a ef lens up to it
Answer :
Yes, it is fully functional with Canon EF and EF-S lenses
Question :
Does this support dual pixel af on the m50?
Answer :
Yes, I use it on my M5.
Question :
Can I mount sigma 50mm f1.4 with this? (I have canon m50)
Answer :
If has a mount for Canon EF or EF-S it will fit. As usual, however, there are no guarantees all of the signals will work, but popular, later models usually do. Even if they do, and auto focus 'works', it'll likely not work as well with the M50 as do the Canon lenses or native lenses. These early Canon mirrorless are really good little cameras but often, expectations are set too high. Best performance will likely be with an M mount. I had great success with my M1 and M3 using the Canon EF-S 17-85, for me, that was a great combo, but quite a bit of oversize mismatch. Still, fairly comfortable to work with on travel. The photos were superb. The adapter is great for the casual user who also has EF mount Canon lenses or is unable to work within limited range of native lenses. See also description of this adaptor: "The Mount Adapter EF-EOS M allows Canon EF and EF-S lenses to be mounted on the Canon EOS M Digital Camera. It is fully compatible with all lens functions, including image stabilization and auto focus". Obviously, if your lens doesn't fit within these parameters, there is some risk, but for me, that risk was usually been with slow autofocus and 'hunting' (which uses up the battery life faster). Very best wishes for success!
Question :
Does the adapter work on a canon eos 10d?
Answer :
I don’t think so. This adaptor allows a standard EOS EF lens to be used on an M series camera. If the canon EOS 10D is EF it won’t fit - if it’s an M series it would.
