Excellent for the price, not too big and cumbersome.

It is very nice. I had a little trouble assembling it as I had one or two screw parts reversed on the main pole, but after correcting it it is very stable. It supports my Lumix FZ1000 easily. It has a nice magnetic grid and holder strips for centering your photos and your camera. I taped the grid down on the main board so it wouldn't keep shifting. It is worth the price.

Great for small space and for storing

I'm using this copy stand to photograph tons of old family photos (from before digital photos). I use it sporadically and it's great to be able to set up and take down as I have time to photograph. It's sturdy yet not too large. I'm really pleased with it.

Very Handy Tool!

I use it for document and handwriting comparison. Plug and Play into laptop and makes it easy to see document differences or similarities. Works well with photos also.

Worth more than listed price!

For the price, this copy stand is a steal! Well built, I was really surprised on how sturdy this was. Copy stands usually go for $100 or more and it was such a surprise on how well this one was built. Been using it for a little more than a month and a half and it’s holding up quite well!

Question & Answer

Question :

Will this hold up a Fuji XT3 with a macro lens without bending?

Answer :

This camera with macro lens will be heavy for this model. The new model 'Mini 500' coming in Amazon at Feb., 20 for this type of camera. Please wait and we will send you an email.
Thank you for interesting!

Question :

item for workhard ?

Answer :

It’s a very sturdy item.

Question :

is this enough for a t6i + vintage macro lens and extension tubes or should I go for the Mini 500?

Answer :

Hi Sebastian, based on your camera, lens, and extension overall weight we recommend Cosmo Mini 500. We're also concern about the diameter of the extension tube and overall length. Keep in mind, Cosmo Mini 500, with the L bracket at an upright position, will give you 17" clearance from the camera connecting screw to Floating Magnetic Board. A Shoe Plate extension is recommended to justify for large diameter. Please let us know if you have any other questions. Copy Stand

Question :

is there a phone attachment to so I can switch between camera and phone ?

Answer :

This product do not included that type of adapter, but the adapter you wand will depend on what type of phone and camera... is difficult to know if that type of adapters exist... only if you build it...

Question :

Will it hold a Nikon 7500 with 55 mm lens?

Answer :

I don't have a Nikon 7500, but I do have a Nikon 5500 which mounts to the copy stand just fine. There should be no issue when mounting a 7500 on this stand. The stand comes with a mounting screw that has a 1/4" - 20 thread which is standard on every camera I'm aware of. If your 7500 can be attached to a tripod, it can be mounted to this copy stand.

Question :

Can I use a light pad with this to scan negatives?

Answer :

HI, Yes, but if your light box that it goes under negative is bigger than our wood base, you need to make sure the light box is flat and has even distance to the lense. Most likely you need to have a micro lens.

Question :

What would one use for a light source?

Answer :

Any kind of table top LED continuous portable photography lighting kit would work.
