Greatly improved video quality

I wasn't sure about how well this would help me when I ordered, but it was on the 'list' of things to do in order to get the best picture. Very impressed.

I got this to tweak the image settings for my church streaming setup. Up to then I was just tweaking the image settings by eye and getting so-so results. The image was just not right...washed out or blooming with white - colors not looking quite right etc.

I took about 15 minutes to watch some YouTube videos that explain the process then another 15 minutes or so tweaking the camera settings with the card and it has made a HUGE difference. Most of my time was spend running from the booth to the stage. The actual settings tweaks were quick and easy.

Very much worth having these on hand.

I like it

I'm no pro. I purchase budget friendly photo equipment. So, this may not be a "pro level" review. But, this gave me what I wanted. I have several cameras I video with. This lets me get them all colored the same. So, when I switch between clips, no difference in image. I use Final Cut Pro for my video editing. I like this product. Great value for my budget.

One of The Best Accessories I Have Purchased For My Camera Bag

I am a photographer/hobbyist, but have aspirations of selling some of my photographs. I saw an ad for these cards and did some research on how to use them dealing with white balance on digital cameras. After shooting pictures of my granddaughter for her Senior pictures in late afternoon light, some of her pictures had an orange cast to them. After seeing a helpful tutorial on how to get rid of the color cast when shooting under different light sources, I decided it would be of great help to have a set of these in my camera bag. The item delivered on time, was as described by the seller.

Must have for color balancing.

Perfect for experienced and beginning Vloggers or videographer. Use this item before the shoot or before each scene to get perfect white and color balance for post production. Great item! there are a couple of them in the pack along with a 3 fold white card that they fit in. Just throw this in your camera bag and go!

just as good as expensive ones

we run a photo studio and have 1 expensive one of these, the photographers needed more. purchased these and the accuracy is the same as the costly one, doesn't have the film on it like the costly one and easier to use because of smaller size. will definitely purchase again when needed.

A simple tool that any serious (or not so serious) needs

There is only one way to make sure that the colors that you see when you take the photo are the same when you are looking at them on a computer monitor. and that is by using a color calibration card. You get your lighting set up and then snap a photo of the card at the beginning of the shoot. That way when you are doing work in whatever photo editing software you are using, you can make the adjustments to make sure all of your colors are correct

Question & Answer

Question :

Software included for Lightroom photoshop....?

Answer :

No, not needed. Your camera and Lightroom use the this card to set the correct WB. See http://youtu.be/UJRJ-n57h_c

Question :

Could these cards be mounted on foam core or a sheet of plastic using spray adhesive without the glue bleeding through?

Answer :

Yes. These are constructed from heavyweight acid free post card stock (thick paper). Mounting to plastic or foam core using spray adhesive should be no problem.

Question :

Can a gray paint chip sample from Home depot do the same thing?

Answer :

Never tried a HD paint sampler. I can only say that the color chart is ideal for matching cameras, and the gray card on the other side renders beautiful color images.

Question :

What is the material of the cards? is it just think paper card stock?

Answer :

Yes, it's basically stiff heavy GSM paper/card. (I ordered two at the time myself when I read others reviews for wear & tear purposes in case they were overly flimsy, so far they have survived.)

Question :

Do you provide the rgb or lab or hsv values of the colors? what is the accuracy of the colors?

Answer :

Yes, the LAB values of the colors are printed on the back of the card. Thanks! The team at DGK Color Tools

Question :

Is this one 2 sided card or are there 2 2-sided cards?

Answer :

There are 2 two-sided cards.

Question :

Is it waterproof for underwater photography?

Answer :

Definitely not. It's just printed on cardstock and unless they changed it one of the worst color cards I've seen.

Question :

Will this work on Gimp if I manually use the color dropper tool?? Thanks.

Answer :

This is a really bad product. Don’t waste your time getting it. The colors are not calibrated by any means. Looks like it’s a piece of cardboard that was put through a common cheap printer.

Question :

Does anybody know the reflectance values of the 6 neutral grey patches in the colorchart

Answer :

I just use a gray card
