This strobe rocks!
Long-time Canon user here... have multiple Canon 600RT speed lights that I've used for a several years. Was never totally satisfied with (1) recycle time, (2) use outdoors, and (3) power output. Watched the Godox reviews for the AD200, then for the AD200Pro. Over the holidays I purchased two of the AD200 Pros, an Xpro controller for Canon and a Good 24x24 box. Setup was SUPER simple; menus are easy to navigate. I shoot manual (camera and flash) for portraiture and dialing in the exposure was direct and effective. I immediately noticed the huge increase in power with the AD200Pro. WOW! Had a family Christmas session for a client with nine family members and used the Godox system with my Canon 5dMKiii. I shot about 250 images and the strobe was set at about 1/2 power for the entire session. Super fast recycle time and the battery was still showing 3 out of 4 bars when I finished the session! When I loaded the images into LR, the kelvin value for white balance was within a few degrees for ALL OF THE IMAGES; I could never do this with speed lights. It made post processing much easier with consistent light levels and color temperature. I am really impressed! Highly recommend this product.

Good Quality and Happily Satisfied
I bought 2 of these Godox AD200Pro lights and so far so good with everything. Battery life lasts a long time and the product comes with extra attachments that make these versatile lights to work with. I run both of these lights with the Godox X2T remote trigger and Godox 47" octagon softboxes. They provide enough light for product photography in the studio. Setting everything up was very easy and haven't run into any problems. Two thumbs up! My only recommendation would be to change up the nob on the side of bulb attachment so that the AD200 Pro can easily be placed/removed from the Godox S2 Bracket. As it is right now you have to open up the softbox and can only slide the AD200 Pro thru the front. If it could just slide in thru the rear of the S2 bracket it would make things much easier.

Powerful. light, flexible
The AD200 is brighter than the name-brand camera maker's top Speedlight/Speedlite, yet it is only slightly larger. You can change the head depending on your use (I have three different heads). I also have an adapter that allows me to use my Bowens-mount light modifiers. I have yet to have the battery run out, even when I use it heavily. In spite of my normal paranoia about batteries, I have not yet purchased a spare, and have not needed one. I can shoot hundreds of images and still have half the battery life available.
When I am traveling, it is nice to take two or three of these lights. I do cave photography. All the light in the photo is normally provided by my light sources, carried by me or my photo assistants. I need all the power I can get in a small and light package.
I also use these when I am on location outdoors or in a science lab, again because of their size and weight. When I work in the studio instead of a cave, these are my secondary lights; I use the Godox AD600 for the primary light. However, they provide plenty of light, and I rarely need to run them at full power.
I intend on purchasing another couple of these due to their versatility.

Must have light - best purchase I’ve made in a long time.
This light is perfect. The kit, the case, everything with it is perfect. Works wonderfully with my other godox lights and MS300 lights, all can be controlled with the XT2. It’s so small and makes it so easy to keep a light on hand. It’s incredibly versatile, can be modified for all sorts of uses. I could not recommend it enough. Best purchase I’ve made in a long time. The batteries last long. If you pack the battery in the light there is room for another battery in the kit pack. Being able to receive my order by the next day was also perfect.

Excellent flash and have yet to burn through a battery in a session
Excellent flash and have yet to burn through a battery in a session. It seems like whether I take 200 pictures or 500, this thing keeps going. Of course, that can't be on full power. When I'm outdoors, I just throw it in TTL, and unless my subject is wearing all black, it does a great job. I tend to go manual for indoor pictures. I used to joke with my wife that it doesn't matter how many pictures I take, when I throw it on the charger, it says it is at a half charge. I finally got it down to a quarter on a particularly long session for a school. I was so happy with the one I bought in 2019, I bought another in 2020, and both are still going strong. Honestly, I don't even remember (and can't tell) which is the older of the two.

Nice Compact, Versatile, and Powerful Light
I love the Godox AD 200 Pros. They are so versatile, especially for on-location photography. I like to use mine off camera with the bar bulb and a modifier for portraits. The bundle was a great deal for the price. I love the gels, grid, and barn doors for creative photography. They help me to control the light more and keep it from spilling in unwanted areas. Most of all, I love how compact these lights are. I can easily fit them in my bag and they don’t weigh it down.

Definitely a great tool, will by another.
One of the best purchases to improve my photography in recent years besides camera/lenses. I'd say it might have the power of 3 speed lights at full power. As any lighting the more you use the better you learn to use.

Small size but great everything.
This little thing is such a beast out in the field taking photos. It doesn’t matter where I am I can pull this out and use it. It has made a substantial jump in my picture quality. The battery life has been really good also. I can usually get 3 to 5 shoots in before charging. It’s worth every dime. I will probably buy a second to be able to use in a two strobe setup.

Fantastic kit!
Everything I expected and then some! Worked great with my sony A6500 (red eye reduction off) and the Pro-S controller.
Barn door is kind of a pain to remove, requires some force and the right method. Magnetic gels were cool tho.
Has a nice EVA hard shell case for the main flash components.
Question & Answer
Question :
Is the charger for this pro version 220V or 110V?
Answer :
I checked the data on the charger body and it can handle either voltage or anything in between. It is also good for both 50Hz or 60Hz current.
Question :
can I use this with my sony a7r IV ?
Answer :
I am not a Sony shooter but it should work fine using the Godox XproS (Sony) trigger. ($70 I think.) I have the appropriate triggers for both Canon and Fujifilm. All of my Godox flashes work flawlessly with all of my Canon and Fujifilm cameras. Great flash system.
Question :
I have canon mk iv. how do you wirelessly trigger flash remotely from camera? do you have to buy a godox transmitter?
Answer :
yes, that can either be a X1TC, an XPro-C, an X2TC, or a Godox flash unit that's made for Canon, Godox speedlights have radio triggers and receivers built-in. The XPro models are easiest to use, but bigger than the X1T and X2T trigger models, but if you're dragging light stands around the small difference in weight won't matter.
Question :
Include the barebulb?
Answer :
Yes, bare bulb is included.
Question :
Is the flash holder we see on the picture is include in the kit ?
Answer :
Yes it does!
Question :
How much stronger is this compared to a regular hss flash? Can you really just use 1 if these in the bright sun with hhs???
Answer :
It's like having 4 speed lights so about 4 more powerful. I have two if I need more
Question :
Is there a way I can purchase the Speedlite Head only?
Answer :
Question :
Will a pair of Pocket Wizards work with this?
Answer :
As far as I know these units only work with their own transmitter.
Question :
What is the different between the ad200 ad300 and ad400?
Answer :
The numbers 200, 300, 400 are the output strength of the light. The ad200 if using with a softbox needs to be mounted to an adapter where the 400 the mount is directly on the unit, theres also the number of flashes each one produces, I use both for different situations, 8f your starting out the 200 is a great compact unit and priced very reasonably with great output, usability, portability and very easy to use.
Question :
Does this come with a stand?
Answer :
No it does not come with a stand.
