Bought as a lens for PS3 Eye for headtracking

This works GREAT with a PS3 Eye camera for head tracking. I built an IR clip, and tried the usual floppy disk film to block light. It works, but not that well. This filter works perfectly, fits well (with some hot glue gun action) and just simply works. I can wear my glasses w/o it interfering....the IR LED's are easily seen, etc.

Highly recommended for your BVD's

We use these on our NV nod's, they will protect your 7-15k from light sources that will damage your tubes. Get the 30mm, screw in, and enjoy. Not many share these tips, but you cannot go wrong.

Works Great

It works very nice with my full spectrum converted camera. The when using a custom white balance turns out great results after post processing.

Happy snapper!

Works as it should and can’t complain about the build quality either.

Works as promised

The lens properly screwed onto my camera with no issues. The build quality seems pretty good, it's a metal screw, not a plastic one like I've experienced before with other lenses. Overall, I'm happy with this product.

IR760: quality glass and mount for the price.

I purchased the IR760. Good quality glass and filter rings for the cost. Not too thick. The IR760 is decent under clouds, still giving bright leaves and very dark skies. It's even better in bright noon day sun. See the comparison to other filters in photos I've attached. It is nearly a B&W filter, giving little color, while allowing faster shutters than the 860nm filters.

09FEB2021 addition:
I add a comparison to the Neewer 760nm filter.
First, the quality is decent, good mounts, glass filter, very very thin design, similar to Green•L 760nm. However, these let in a lot more visible light than other glass filters.

I took example photos using the Neewer filter Green L filter of the same bandpass, constant aperture and ISO, with WB set to 'incandescent'. Photos of bulb with a Visible, unconverted camera with filters aimed at a standard incandescent bulb that emits plenty of near infrared.

The Neewer is almost 3 stops brighter than the Green L, both at 760nm. Other measurement show that compared with the Neewer, the Green L she's a better job stopping visible transmission.

The infrared photos outside, on a full spectrum converted camera is compared in the other photos. Each will decide how they like the Neewer outside compared with others. Again constant aperture, ISO, and custom WB for each filter from the same source. Note, outside photos taken at 20mm wide, full frame. The edges in all photos, all filters show magenta coloration.

Question & Answer

Question :

What is the thread pitch on this filter? Particularly the 25mm one

Answer :

I bought the 25mm 720nm from Green.L. I haven't personally measured it the thread pitch, but it fits well in a C-mount flange, so it must be close to the nominal 32 threads per inch.

Question :

The picture for this product shows 77mm. i'm looking for 25mm as described in the title. which size filter will i actually get if i order it?

Answer :

The pictures are for reference only, subject to the title and content description
