Yes, a GOOD follow focus system is not cheap. Well technically there are some cheap ones sub $100 but in my opinion they are useless for one simple reason. Slop. This one has zero slop. As soon as you start turning the follow focus wheel it immediately engages the gears and starts to turn your lens. I can't emphasize this enough how important it is that there is next to no slop in a follow focus and that one feature alone makes this system worth the price.
What's great is that they also include a couple accessories not normally included in a base package. You get the focus handle as well as a focus whip. The whip does have a plastic handle but it still works incredibly well.
This system, was the perfect size for my mirrorless rig setups as well as my Black Magic gear. The build quality was fantastic. I really have nothing to complain about in this kit. Fantastic price for a fantastic piece of gear.

I hesitated to buy this gear for the following reasons:
1) Very few Youtube reviews
2) It ships from China (either a return or warranty repair would be impossible, owing to shipping costs being hundreds of dollars)
HOWEVER, regarding #2, if you can accept that risk, this is a great choice.
The quality is excellent. It is also lightweight.
It *may* be more fragile than Zacuto gear.
NOTE: I do not use the computerized aspect of this follow-focus, just the manual aspect. I am eager to try out the computerized aspect soon, and will update it then.
