This works great with the Manfrotto Element Monopod

I use this with a Manfrotto Element aluminum monopod and my Nikon D850. It works great for wildlife and event photography. The heaviest lens I use with it is my 200-500 lens. During Covid 19 I've been using it a lot in my yard.

Great product, excellent value

Excellent product. It fit easily on top of my monopod and provides all of the directional positions needed. Well rated at five pounds, it certainly seems that it will handle more bulk. Highly recommended and received on time.

Works great

I've always gone with the Manfrotto brand and it has never disappointed me. Great head attached to my monopod supports my 5d II with no issues.

Question & Answer

Question :

Is this sufficient enough to handle my D7200 w/ Nikon 200-500 lens on monopod?

Answer :

I would say no, not this monopod head. Despite the metal materials, The screw handle tends to shift or loosen to easily, especially if you have heavy DLSR and telephoto lens setup. You need a more stiffer monopod head where the handle locks in place

Question :

The item I received does not have the Manfrotto logo on top of the quick-release handle as pictured. Is it normal or could it be a counterfeit unit?

Answer :

Mine doesn't either. I'm certain that it is not a fake.

Question :

Can it adjust forward and back as well as right angle for vertical shooting? You just adjust and tighten the camera to the plate?

Answer :

There is only one adjustment on this head, that can be forward and back or it can tilt to one side or the other, not both. The camera is attached to the mounting plate which is clamped into head. Hope this helps.

Question :

What is the base diameter?

Answer :

sorry, I don't know what you mean by "base" diameter. I can say that this tripod is not very sturdy and the head is not smooth in operation. If you want it to just hold a still camera it's OK.

Question :

Will this product handle the weight of a D7200 w/ Nikon 200-500 lense on my manfrotto monopod?

Answer :

FOR ORIENTATION: IT WORKS CORRECT WITH NIKON D750 WITH TAMRON 150-600 MM
