if you're using ZOOM you need lighting.

I have lights for some photo projects I do from time to time... but when the world went virtual and it became necessary to be part of various conferencing video meetings it became clear to me that most people have no understanding of lightning. It is weird, but how you present yourself in a video conference is akin to how you dress for work. Bad lighting makes for bad impressions. You could say something brilliant but your picture is poor quality and so ... your message is not as impactful. Audi is important too but that has nothing to do with these diffuser umbrellas. They do what they need to do and anybody who is doing conferencing should get a kit of lights and diffusers. I got these to supplement stuff I already have. Get a full kit and get these to get the most out of it. These are made well enough. The stands are good but understand that you have be very careful when you have stuff up in your house that you're not accustomed to. Wires and the legs of tripods are trip hazards. Be smart.

Used to protect flowers from Sun

Okay, random but bought these to cover my flowers on the rooftop, August sun is brutal in Texas and this is the only way I can keep them from frying.

Nice umbrella for the price

I am going pro with my photography and needed to purchase a lot of gear for the initial set up. I purchased these as my shoot through light modifiers. For the price, I am very satisfied with the quality and how the umbrellas have held up so far. These are light weight umbrellas and I will have to be a bit gentle with them, but I have no doubt that these will achieve my goal for them.

Easy to use; great value and professionalism!

These umbrellas are easy to use; offer a great value and do what they are supposed to do - evenly distibute the light! No need to buy the big, box umbrellas to achieve the same great looking portraits that your subjects expect!

Terrible in the rain, great for flash

For the price, do you get the BEST quality? You’re dreaming. But they are effective at doing their job. Had them blow over in the wind and dent, but they still work (for the most part). But I didn’t feel so bad because the price of these was so great. Will buy again once I’ve beating the life out of the current ones.

Great for Quick Set-Ups

If you need a set of really portable and small umbs, these are what was advertised and works well for fast set-ups. I am using both Flashes and Rotos with them.

Great value for the money

They work great! It feels cheap because they are cheap but it’s enough for first timers. Be careful because it’s delicate but tough enough for several uses. Good luck people!

Lightweight and they work just fine

I needed 2 extra light weight photo umbrellas for a out of town photo shoot.
The last thing I needed was a bunch of umbrellas weighing me down.

The Neewer 2 Pack 33"/84cm White Translucent Soft Umbrella was perfect and remains in my camera bag for future use.

They give off a nice soft white diffusion.

Question & Answer

Question :

Does it comes with the stand ?

Answer :

No. You need brackets and stands.

Question :

Is this compatible with with savage umbrella stands? my savage umbrellas broke so i need two replacements. i want to use the same stands though.

Answer :

I do not know but I purchased these items and they worked just fine if not better then the ones that came with my kit. If your umbrellas have a rod as these umbrellas do, I can not think of a reason for them not to work and you they do not, AMAZON is very good about returning items. Good luck!!!

Question :

can i use it for a 750watt tungston light? does it withhold the heat from it?

Answer :

It's designed to be used as a 'Shoot Trough' with a strobe light.

It may be too thin to be used with a tungsten bulb. The heat given off by a 750 watt tungsten bulb might too much for the umbrella and a fire might ensue.

Instead, Do a search for photo umbrellas and tungsten lighting.

Question :

what is the shaft diameter? 7 or 8 mm?

Answer :

I'm not sure I think its 12mm or either more. I mean the standing shaft, but if you mean the assembly part at the end I'm not sure but pretty sure is smaller than 12mm.

Question :

Do they have neewer logo?

Answer :

Nope.
